Five legs @ three loops: slightly off-shell dual conformal integrals

We calculate the three-loop master integrals contributing to the three-loop five-point amplitude on the special Coulomb branch of $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM theory. For the genuine pentagon integrals, we follow the approach of Ref. [JHEP 12 (2025) 107], which includes a regularization preserving dual conformal invariance (DCI). As a new ingredient, we introduce a simple method, allowing to factor out the dependence on the DCI cross ratios from the contribution of each region. The remaining integrals are then essentially simplified by taking successive limits of vanishing external invariants. For 3 out of 82 regions contributing to the most complicated integral $\mathcal{I}_5^{(3)}$ we were not able to perform the integration even after these simplifications. For these three regions, we perform the integration-by-parts (IBP) reduction in parametric representation and evaluate the resulting locally finite integrals using HyperInt.

Five legs @ three loops: N=4 sYM amplitude near mass-shell

We present a three-loop analysis of the scattering amplitude of five nearly massless W-bosons in planar maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. The basis of the master integrals is established, making use of the unitarity-cut sewing technique in six-dimensional N=(1,1) super-Yang-Mills theory. Its dimensional reduction down to four allows us to generate masses for internal and external states. We descend on the special Coulomb branch of maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory by setting all propagator masses to zero. Employing explicit expressions for all integrals that we calculated in a companion paper, we find a concise representation for this infrared-sensitive observable. We confirm its exponentiation, both for infrared and finite terms. The infrared double logarithm manifests the anticipated universality through the octagon anomalous dimension as its governing coefficient. Unlike our previous two-loop result, this consideration reveals that each of the three independent kinematic structures furnishing the amplitude possesses its own function of 't Hooft coupling.

Walking Sudakov: From Cusp to Octagon

We study the Sudakov form factor and the four-point scattering amplitude on the Coulomb branch of planar $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM as functions of the Coulomb-branch parameters and kinematic invariants. This setup provides a controlled probe of the interpolation between on- and off-shell regimes of infrared-sensitive quantities in gauge theories. We identify a novel scaling limit in which both observables exhibit double-logarithmic behavior governed by a walking anomalous dimension. As the mass scales are varied, this walking anomalous dimension interpolates between the cusp anomalous dimension of the on-shell regime and the octagon anomalous dimension of the off-shell regime. Based on the explicit two-loop result and the expected all-order structure, we propose an all-loop form for the walking anomalous dimension both for the form factor and for the four-point scattering amplitude. These all-loop expressions depend on new, presently unknown functions of the 't Hooft coupling.

ABJM flux-tube and scattering amplitudes

There is a number of indications that scattering amplitudes in the Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena theory might have a dual description in terms of a holonomy of a supergauge connection on a null polygonal contour in a way analogous to the four-dimensional maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. However, so far its explicit implementations evaded a successful completion. The difficulty is intimately tied to the lack of the T-self-duality of the sigma model on the string side of the gauge/string correspondence. Unscathed by the last misfortune, we initiate with this study an application of the pentagon paradigm to scattering amplitudes of the theory. With the language being democratic and nondiscriminatory to whether one considers a Wilson loop expectation value or an amplitude, the success in the application of the program points towards a possible unified observable on the field theory side. Our present consideration is focused on two-loop perturbation theory in the planar limit, begging for higher loop data in order to bootstrap current analysis to all orders in the 't Hooft coupling.

Compton scattering: from deeply virtual to quasi-real

We address the question of interpolation of the virtual Compton scattering process off a polarized nucleon target between the deeply virtual regime for the initial-state photon and its near on-shell kinematics making use of the photon helicity-dependent Compton Form Factors (CFFs) as a main ingredient of the formalism. The five-fold differential cross section for the reaction with all possible polarization options for the lepton and nucleon spins is evaluated in terms of CFFs in the rest reference frame of the initial-state nucleon. We suggest a rather simple parametrization of the Compton hadronic tensor in terms of CFFs which are free from kinematical singularities and are directly related, at large photon virtualities, to Generalized Parton Distributions. We also provide a relation of our basis spanned by a minimal number of Dirac bilinears to the one introduced by Tarrach for the parametrization of the virtual Compton tensor and utilize the former to establish a set of equalities among our CFFs and Generalized Polarizabilities. As a complementary result, we express Compton scattering in the Born approximation in terms of CFFs as well.

Refined analysis of photon leptoproduction off spinless target

We calculate the differential cross section for real photon electroproduction off spinless hadron which sevres as a main probe of the hadrons structure via the concept of generalized parton distributions. Compared to previously available computations performed with twist-three power accuracy, we exactly accounted for all kinematical effects in hadron mass and momentum transfer which arise from leptonic helicity amplitudes. We performed numerical studies of these kinematical effects and demonstrated that in the valence quark region and rather low virtualities of the hard photon which sets the factorization scale, the available approximate results significantly overestimate the cross section rates in comparison to exact formulas.

Perturbative QCD Analysis of the Nucleon's Pauli Form Factor F_2(Q^2)

We perform a perturbative QCD analysis of the nucleon's Pauli form factor $F_2(Q^2)$ in the asymptotically large $Q^2$ limit. We find that the leading contribution to $F_2(Q^2)$ has a $1/Q^6$ power behavior, consistent with the well-known result in the literature. Its coefficient depends on the leading- and subleading-twist light-cone wave functions of the nucleon, the latter describing the quarks with one unit of orbital angular momentum. We also derive at the logarithmic accurary the asymptotic scaling $F_2(Q^2)/F_1(Q^2) \sim (\log^2 Q^2/Λ^2)/Q^2$ which describes recent Jefferson Lab data well.
