The paper is devoted to the multiple chordal Loewner differential equation with different driving functions on two time intervals. We obtain exact implicit or explicit solutions to the Loewner equations with piecewise constant driving functions and with combined constant and square root driving functions. In both cases, there is an analytical and geometrical description of generated traces.
We explore the joint effect of the intrinsic noise and time delay on the spatial pattern formation within a multi-scale mobile lattice model of the epithelium. The protein fluctuations are driven by transcription/translation processes in epithelial cells exchanging chemical and mechanical signals and are described by a single-gene auto-repressor model with constant delay. Both deterministic and stochastic descriptions are given. We found that time delay, noise and spatial signaling can result in the protein pattern formation even when deterministic description exhibits no patterns.
The Loewner equation is known as a one-dimensional reduction of the Benney chain as well as the dispersionless KP hierarchy. We propose a reverse process showing that time splitting in the Loewner or the Loewner-Kufarev equation leads to some known integrable systems.
The article is devoted to the geometry of solutions to the chordal Loewner equation which is based on comparison of singular solutions and harmonic measures for the sides of a slit in domains generated by a driving term. It is proved that harmonic measures of two sides of a slit in the upper half-plane which is perpendicular to the real axis are asymptotically equal to each other.
