LRS Bianchi Type-V Viscous Fluid Universe With a Time Dependent Cosmological Term $Λ$

An LRS Bianchi type-V cosmological models representing a viscous fluid distribution with a time dependent cosmological term $Λ$ is investigated. To get a determinate solution, the viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density. It turns out that the cosmological term $Λ(t)$ is a decreasing function of time, which is consistent with recent observations of type Ia supernovae. Various physical and kinematic features of these models have also been explored.

String Cosmological Model in Cylindrically Symmetric Inhomogeneous Universe with Electromagnetic Field II

Cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous string cosmological model of the universe in presence of electromagnetic field is investigated. We have assumed that F_{12} is the only non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor F_{ij}. The Maxwell's equations show that F_{12} is the function of $x$ alone whereas the magnetic permeability is the function of x and t both. To get the deterministic solution, it has been assumed that the expansion ($θ$) in the model is proportional to the eigen value $σ^{1}_{1}$ of the shear tensor $σ^{i}_{j}$. Some physical and geometric prperties of the model are also discussed.

A Plane-Symmetric Inhomogeneous Cosmological Model of Perfect Fluid Distribution with Electromagnetic Field I

A plane-symmetric inhomogeneous cosmological model of perfect fluid distribution with electro-magnetic field is obtained. The source of the magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the z-axis. $F_{12}$ is the non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor. To get a deterministic solution, we assume the free gravitational field is Petrov type-II non-degenerate. The behaviour of the electro-magnetic field tensor together with some physical aspects of the model are also discussed.

Bianchi Type I Massive String Magnetized Barotropic Perfect Fluid Cosmological Model in General Relativity

Bianchi type I massive string cosmological model with magnetic field of barotropic perfect fluid distribution through the techniques used by Latelier and Stachel, is investigated. To get the deterministic model of the universe, it is assumed that the universe is filled with barotropic perfect fluid distribution. The magnetic field is due to electric current produced along x-axis with infinite electrical conductivity. The behaviour of the model in presence and absence of magnetic field together with other physical aspects is further discussed.

A New Class of Inhomogeneous String Cosmological Models in General Relativity

A new class of solutions of Einstein field equations has been investigated for inhomogeneous cylindrically symmetric space-time with string source. To get the deterministic solution, it has been assumed that the expansion ($θ$) in the model is proportional to the eigen value $σ^{1}_{1}$ of the shear tensor $σ^{i}_{j}$. Certain physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed.

Bianchi Type V Universes with Bulk Viscosity in General Relativity

Bianchi type V bulk viscous fluid cosmological models are investigated. Using a generation technique (Camci {\it et al.}, 2001), it is shown that the Einstein's field equations are solvable for any arbitrary cosmic scale function. The viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density. Solutions for particular forms of cosmic scale functions are also obtained. Some physical and geometric aspects of the models are also discussed.

Nonsingular Spherical Models with a Variable Cosmological term

Exact solutions of the Einstein's field equations describing a spherically symmetric cosmological model without a big bang or any other kind of singularity recently obtained by Dadhich and Patel (2000) are revisited. The matter content of the model is a shear-free perfect fluid with isotropic pressure and a radial heat flux. Three different exact solutions are obtained for both perfect fluid and fluid with bulk viscosity. It turns out that the cosmological rerm $Λ(t)$ is a decreasing function of time, which is consistent with recent observations of type Ia supernovae.

Bulk Viscous Cosmological Models in General Relativity

A new class of exact solutions of Einstein's field equations with bulk viscous fluid for an LRS Bianchi type-I spacetime is obtained by using deceleration parameter as variable. The value of Hubble's constant $H_{0}$ is found to be less than one for non-flat model and is equal to 1.5 for flat model which are of the physical interest. Some physical and geometric properties of the models are also discussed.

Bianchi Type III String Cosmological Models with Time Dependent Bulk Viscosity

Bianchi type III string cosmological models with bulk viscous fluid for massive string are investigated. To get the determinate model of the universe, we have assumed that the coefficient of bulk viscosity ($ξ$) is inversely proportional to the expansion ($θ$) in the model and expansion ($θ$) in the model is proportional to the shear ($σ$). This leads to $B = \ell C^{n}$, $\ell$ and $n$ are constants. The behaviour of the model in presence and absence of bulk viscosity, is discussed. The physical implications of the models are also discussed in detail.

Generation of Bianchi Type V Bulk Viscous Cosmological Models with Time Dependent $Λ$-Term

Bianchi type V bulk viscous fluid cosmological models are investigated with dynamic cosmological term $Λ(t)$. Using a generation technique (Camci {\it et al.}, 2001), it is shown that the Einstein's field equations are solvable for any arbitrary cosmic scale function. Solutions for particular forms of cosmic scale functions are also obtained. The cosmological constant is found to be decreasing function of time, which is supported by results from recent type Ia supernovae observations. Some physical and geometrical aspects of the models are also discussed.

Some Bianchi Type III String Cosmological Models with Bulk Viscosity

We investigate the integrability of cosmic strings in Bianchi III space-time in presence of a bulk viscous fluid by applying a new technique. The behaviour of the model is reduced to the solution of a single second order nonlinear differential equation. We show that this equation admits an infinite family of solutions. Some physical consequences from these results are also discussed.

FRW Universe with Variable $G$ and $Λ$-Terms

A new class of exact solutions of Einstein's field equations with a perfect fluid source, variable gravitational coupling $G$ and cosmological term $Λ$ for FRW spacetime is obtained by considering variable deceleration parameter models for the universe. The nature of the variables $G(t)$, $Λ(t)$ and the energy density $ρ(t)$ have been examined for three cases : (i) exponential (ii) polynomial and (iii) sinusoidal form. The special types of models for dust, Zel'dovich and radiating universe are also mentioned in all these cases. The behaviour of these models of the universe are also discussed in the light of recent supernovae Ia observations.

A New Class of LRS Bianchi Type-I Cosmological Models in Lyra's Manifold

LRS Bianchi type-I models have been studied in the cosmological theory based on Lyra's geometry. A new class of exact solutions has been obtained by considering a time dependent displacement field for variable deceleration parameter models of the universe. We have compared our models with those of Einstein's field theory with the cosmological term $Λ$. Our frame of reference is restricted to the recent Ia observations of supernovae. Some physical behaviour of the models is also examined in the presence of perfect fluids.

Universe With Time Dependent Deceleration Parameter and $Λ$ Term in General Relativity

A new class of exact solutions of Einstein's field equations with perfect fluid for an LRS Bianchi type-I spacetime is obtained by using a time dependent deceleration parameter. We have obtained a general solution of the field equations from which three models of the universe are derived: exponential, polynomial and sinusoidal form respectively. The behaviour of these models of the universe are also discussed in the frame of reference of recent supernovae Ia observations.

Plane symmetric inhomogeneous bulk viscous domain wall in Lyra geometry

Some bulk viscous general solutions are found for domain walls in Lyra geometry in the plane symmetric inhomogeneous spacetime. Expressions for the energy density and pressure of domain walls are derived in both cases of uniform and time varying displacement field $β$. The viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density. Some physical consequences of the models are also given. Finally, the geodesic equations and acceleration of the test particle are discussed.

Kaluza-Klein Type Robertson Walker Cosmological Model With Dynamical Cosmological Term $Λ$

In this paper we have analyzed the Kaluza-Klein type Robertson Walker (RW) cosmological models by considering three different forms of variable $Λ$: $Λ\sim(\frac{\dot{a}}{a})^2$,$Λ\sim(\frac{\ddot{a}} {a})$ and $Λ\sim ρ$. It is found that, the connecting free parameters of the models with cosmic matter and vacuum energy density parameters are equivalent, in the context of higher dimensional space time. The expression for the look back time, luminosity distance and angular diameter distance are also derived. This work has thus generalized to higher dimensions the well-known results in four dimensional space time. It is found that there may be significant difference in principle at least, from the analogous situation in four dimensional space time.
