Study of Gauge Symmetry of Some Field Theoretical Models Through the Lagrangian Formulation

Study of gauge symmetry is carried over the different interacting and noninteracting field theoretical models through a prescription based on lagrangian formulation. It is found that the prescription is capable of testing whether a given model posses a gauge symmetry or not. It can successfully formulate the gauge transformation generator in all the cases whatever subtleties are involved in it. It is found that the prescription has the ability to show a direction how to extend the phase space using auxiliary fields to restore the gauge invariance of a theory. Like the usual phase space the prescription is found to be equally powerful in the extended phase space of a theory.

A note on the vector Schwinger Model with the photon mass term: Gauge invariant reformulation, operator solution and path integral formulation

Vector Schwinger model is reinvestigated with the mass like term for gauge field. Phase space structure has been determined in this situation. It has been found that mass of the gauge boson acquires a generalized expression with the bare coupling constant and the parameters involved in the masslike terms for the gauge field which is in contrast with the result of a recent publication on this issue.

Does Chiral Fermion Coupled to a Background Dilaton Field Preserve Information?

A model where chiral boson is coupled to a background dilaton field is considered to study the s-wave scattering of fermion by a back ground dilaton black hole. It is found that the scattering process of chiral fermion does not violate unitarity and information remains preserved. Faddevian anomaly plays a crucial role on the information scenario.

On the gauge and BRST invariance of the chiral QED with Faddeevian anomaly

Chiral Schwinger model with the Faddeevian anomaly is considered. It is found that imposing a chiral constraint this model can be expressed in terms of chiral boson. The model when expressed in terms of chiral boson remains anomalous and the Gauss law of which gives anomalous Poisson brackets between itself. In spite of that a systematic BRST quantization is possible. The Wess-Zumino term corresponding to this theory appears automatically during the process of quantization. A gauge invariant reformulation of this model is also constructed. Unlike the former one gauge invariance is done here without any extension of phase space. This gauge invariant version maps onto the vector Schwinger model. The gauge invariant version of the chiral Schwinger model for $a=2$ has a massive field with identical mass however gauge invariant version obtained here does not map on to that.

S-Wave Scattering of Fermion revisited taking into account the effect of Anomaly

A model where a Dirac fermion is coupled to background dilaton field is considered to study s-wave scattering of fermion by a background dilaton black hole. It is found that the anomaly plays a dual role on information loss scenario. Some time it protects the fermion from the dangerous information loss problem and some times it itself through it up towards that danger.

Information Loss Paradox Tested on Chiral Fermion Coupled to a Background Dilatonic Field

A model where chiral boson is coupled to a background dilatonic field is considered to study the s-wave scattering of fermion by a back ground dilatonic black hole. Unlike the conclusion drawn in \cite{MIT} it is found that the presence of chiral fermion does not violate unitarity and information remains preserved. Regularization plays a crucial role on the information paradox.

Non-Abelian Gauged Chiral Boson with a Generalized Faddevian Regularization

We consider non-Abelian gauged version of chiral boson with a generalized Faddeevian regularization. It is a second class constrained theory. We quantize the theory and analyze the phase space. It is shown that in spite of the lack of manifest Lorentz invariance in the action, it has a consistent and Poincare' invariant phase space structure.

On the question of deconfinement in noncommutative Schwinger Model

The 1+1 dimensional bosonised Schwinger model with a generalized gauge invariant regularisation has been studied in a noncommutative scenario to investigate the fate of the transition from confinement to deconfinement observed in the commutative setting. We show that though the fuzziness of space time introduces new features in the confinement scenario, it does not affect the deconfining limit.

Schwinger Model In Noncommutating Space-Time

The 1+1 dimensional bosonised Schwinger model has been studied in a noncommutative scenario. The theory in the reduced phase space exhibits a massive boson interacting with a background. The emergence of this background interaction is a novel feature due to noncommutativity. The structure of the theory ensures unitarity and causality.

Chiral QED in Terms of Chiral Boson with a Generalized Fadeevian Regularization

Chiral QED with a generalized Fadeevian regularization is considered. Imposing a chiral constraint a gauged version of Floranini-Jackiw lagrangian is constructed. The imposition of the chiral constarint has spoiled t he manifestly Lorentz covariance of the theory. The phase space structure for this theory has been det ermined. It is found that spectrum changes drastically but it is Lorentz invariant. Chiral fermion di sappears from the spectra and the photon anquire mass as well. Poincare algebra has been calculated to show physicial Lorentz invariance explicitely.

Nonperturbative solution of the Nonconfining Schwinger Model with a generalized regularization

Nonconfining Schwinger Model [AR] is studied with a one parameter class of kinetic energy like regularization. It may be thought of as a generalization over the regularization considered in [AR]. Phasespace structure has been determined in this new situation. The mass of the gauge boson acquires a generalized expression with the bare coupling constant and the parameters involved in the regularization. Deconfinement scenario has become transparent at the quark-antiquark potential level.

Gauge invariant reformulation and BRST quantization of the nonconfining Schwinger model

A new generalization of the vector Schwinger model is considered where gauge symmetry is broken at the quantum mechanical level. By proper extension of the phase space this broken symmetry has been restored. Also an equivalent first class theory is reformulated in the actual phase space using Mitra and Rajaraman's prescription \cite{mr1,mr2}. A BRST invariant effective action is also formulated. The new dynamical fields introduced, turn into Wess-Zumino scalar.
