Exact non-circular symmetric N-skyrmions in helical magnets without inversion symmetry

The unusual magnetic behaviour of helimagnet MnSi, noticed in recent years, prompted the suspicion that the magnetic states arising in such crystals are of topological nature. Recent experiments based on the topological Hall effect confirmed such topologically nontrivial states as the skyrmions, located on a plane perpendicular to the applied magnetic field. We present here a theoretical model for chiral magnets with competing exchange and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya type interaction, which leads to an exact skyrmionic soliton with integer topological charge. Such topologically stable spin states with analytic solution on a two-dimensional plane show helical structures of partial order, without inversion and circular symmetry. These exact N-skyrmions, though represent higher excited states, correspond to the lowest energy stable configuration in each topological sector and are likely to appear in MnSi under suitable experimental conditions.

Nonholonomic deformation of KdV and mKdV equations and their symmetries, hierarchies and integrability

Recent concept of integrable nonholonomic deformation found for the KdV equation is extended to the mKdV equation and generalized to the AKNS system. For the deformed mKdV equation we find a matrix Lax pair, a novel two-fold integrable hierarchy and exact N-soliton solutions exhibiting unusual accelerating motion. We show that both the deformed KdV and mKdV systems possess infinitely many generalized symmetries, conserved quantities and a recursion operator.

Exact accelerating solitons in nonholonomic deformation of the KdV equation with two-fold integrable hierarchy

Recently proposed nonholonomic deformation of the KdV equation is solved through inverse scattering method by constructing AKNS-type Lax pair. Exact and explicit N-soliton solutions are found for the basic field and the deforming function showing an unusual accelerated (decelerated) motion. A two-fold integrable hierarchy is revealed, one with usual higher order dispersion and the other with novel higher nonholonomic deformations.

Integrable inhomogeneous NLS equations are equivalent to the standard NLS

A class of inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLS), claiming to be novel integrable systems with rich properties continues appearing in PhysRev and PRL. All such equations are shown to be not new but equivalent to the standard NLS, which trivially explains their integrability features.

Quantum integrability of nonultralocal models through Baxterisation of quantised braided algebra

A scheme suitable for describing quantum nonultralocal models including supersymmetric ones is proposed. Braided algebras are generalised to be used through Baxterisation for constructing braided quantum Yang--Baxter equations. Supersymmetric and some known nonultralocal models are derived in the framework of the present approach. As further applications of this scheme construction of new quantum integrable nonultralocal models like mKdV and anyonic supersymmetric models including deformed anyonic super algebra are outlined.

Quantum and classical integrable sine-Gordon model with defect

Defects which are predominant in a realistic model, usually spoil its integrability or solvability. We on the other hand show the exact integrability of a known sine-Gordon field model with a defect (DSG), at the classical as well as at the quantum level based on the Yang-Baxter equation. We find the associated classical and quantum R-matrices and the underlying q-algebraic structures, analyzing the exact lattice regularized model. We derive algorithmically all higher conserved quantities $C_n, n=1,2,...$ of this integrable DSG model, focusing explicitly on the contribution of the defect point to each $C_n$. The bridging condition across the defect, defined through the Bäcklund transformation is found to induce creation or annihilation of a soliton by the defect point or its preservation with a phase shift.

Shape changing and accelerating solitons in integrable variable mass sine-Gordon model

Sine-Gordon model with variable mass (VMSG) appears in many physical systems, ranging from the current through nonuniform Josephson junction to DNA-promoter dynamics. Such models are usually nonintegrable with solutions found numerically or peturbatively. We construct a class of VMSG models, integrable both at classical and quantum level with exact soliton solutions, which can accelerate, change their shape, width and amplitude simulating realistic inhomogeneous systems at certain limits.

q-Boson in Quantum Integrable Systems

q-bosonic realization of the underlying Yang-Baxter algebra is identified for a series of quantum integrable systems, including some new models like two-mode q-bosonic model leading to a coupled two-component derivative NLS model, wide range of q-deformed matter-radiation models, q-anyon model etc. Result on a new exactly solvable interacting anyon gas, linked to q-anyons on the lattice is reported.

Yang-Baxter algebra and generation of quantum integrable models

An operator deformed quantum algebra is discovered exploiting the quantum Yang-Baxter equation with trigonometric R-matrix. This novel Hopf algebra along with its $q \to 1$ limit appear to be the most general Yang-Baxter algebra underlying quantum integrable systems. Three different directions of application of this algebra in integrable systems depending on different sets of values of deforming operators are identified. Fixed values on the whole lattice yield subalgebras linked to standard quantum integrable models, while the associated Lax operators generate and classify them in an unified way. Variable values construct a new series of quantum integrable inhomogeneous models. Fixed but different values at different lattice sites can produce a novel class of integrable hybrid models including integrable matter-radiation models and quantum field models with defects, in particular, a new quantum integrable sine-Gordon model with defect.

Integrable Hierarchy of Higher Nonlinear Schrödinger Type Equations

Addition of higher nonlinear terms to the well known integrable nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations, keeping the same linear dispersion (LD) usually makes the system nonintegrable. We present a systematic method through a novel Eckhaus-Kundu hierarchy, which can generate higher nonlinearities in the NLS and derivative NLS equations preserving their integrability. Moreover, similar nonlinear integrable extensions can be made again in a hierarchical way for each of the equations in the known integrable NLS and derivative NLS hierarchies with higher order LD, without changing their LD.

A nonlocal connection between certain linear and nonlinear ordinary differential equations/oscillators

We explore a nonlocal connection between certain linear and nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs), representing physically important oscillator systems, and identify a class of integrable nonlinear ODEs of any order. We also devise a method to derive explicit general solutions of the nonlinear ODEs. Interestingly, many well known integrable models can be accommodated into our scheme and our procedure thereby provides further understanding of these models.

Unifying quantization for inhomogeneous integrable models

Integrable inhomogeneous versions of the models like NLS, Toda chain, Ablowitz-Ladik model etc., though well known at the classical level, have never been investigated for their possible quantum extensions. We propose a unifying scheme for constructing and solving such quantum integrable inhomogeneous models including a novel inhomogeneous sine-Gordon model, which avoids the difficulty related to the customary non-isospectral flow by introducing the inhomogeneities through some central elements of the underlying algebra.

Integrable multi atom matter-radiation models without rotating wave approximation

Interacting matter-radiation models close to physical systems are proposed, which without rotating wave approximation and with matter-matter interactions are Bethe ansatz solvable. This integrable system is constructed from the elliptic Gaudin model at high spin limit, where radiative excitation can be included perturbatively.

Quantum integrable multi atom matter-radiation models with and without rotating wave approximation

New integrable multi-atom matter-radiation models with and without rotating wave approximation (RWA) are constructed and exactly solved through algebraic Bethe ansatz. The models with RWA are generated through ancestor model approach in an unified way. The rational case yields the standard type of matter-radiaton models, while the trigonometric case corresponds to their q-deformations. The models without RWA are obtained from the elliptic case at the Gaudin and high spin limit.

Quantum integrability and Bethe ansatz solution for interacting matter-radiation systems

A unified integrable system, generating a new series of interacting matter-radiation models with interatomic coupling and different atomic frequencies, is constructed and exactly solved through algebraic Bethe ansatz. Novel features in Rabi oscillation and vacuum Rabi splitting are shown on the example of an integrable two-atom Buck-Sukumar model with resolution of some important controversies in the Bethe ansatz solution including its possible degeneracy for such models.

Possibilities of a classical alternative to a quantum computer

The dramatic increase in the efficiency of a quantum computer over a classical computer, raises a natural question asking, how much of this success could be attributed to its quantum nature and how much to its probabilistic content. To highlight this issue, we put forward the novel idea of a possible chemical computer driven by reaction-diffusion (RD) processes based on a probabilistic but classical approach. Such computers, obeying non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, can describe superpositions of empty and filled states with certain probabilities. With these {probit} states serving as computational basis states, such RD computers with operations satisfying a necessary semi-group property could mimic some well known quantum logic gates and carry out teleportation like procedure using entangled states, believed to be a prerogative of the quantum world. Moreover, assuming a nonlinear extension the RD computers could be used for cloning of arbitrary states, which is a famous forbidden operation in standard quantum computation.

Bound and scattering states of extended Calogero model with an additional PT invariant interaction

Here we discuss two many-particle quantum systems, which are obtained by adding some nonhermitian but PT (i.e. combined parity and time reversal) invariant interaction to the Calogero model with and without confining potential. It is shown that the energy eigenvalues are real for both of these quantum systems. For the case of extended Calogero model with confining potential, we obtain discrete bound states satisfying generalised exclusion statistics. On the other hand, the extended Calogero model without confining term gives rise to scattering states with continuous spectrum. The scattering phase shift for this case is determined through the exchange statistics parameter. We find that, unlike the case of usual Calogero model, the exclusion and exchange statistics parameter differ from each other in the presence of PT invariant interaction.

Unifying scheme for generating discrete integrable systems including inhomogeneous and hybrid models

A unifying scheme based on an ancestor model is proposed for generating a wide range of integrable discrete and continuum as well as inhomogeneous and hybrid models. They include in particular discrete versions of sine-Gordon, Landau-Lifshitz, nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS), derivative NLS equations, Liouville model, (non-)relativistic Toda chain, Ablowitz-Ladik model etc. Our scheme introduces the possibility of building a novel class of integrable hybrid systems including multi-component models like massive Thirring, discrete self trapping, two-mode derivative NLS by combining different descendant models. We also construct inhomogeneous systems like Gaudin model including new ones like variable mass sine-Gordon, variable coefficient NLS, Ablowitz-Ladik, Toda chains etc. keeping their flows isospectral, as opposed to the standard approach. All our models are generated from the same ancestor Lax operator (or its q -> 1 limit) and satisfy the classical Yang-Baxter equation sharing the same r-matrix. This reveals an inherent universality in these diverse systems, which become explicit at their action-angle level.
