B2B Customer Conversion Prediction: A Document Representation, Graph Theory, and CatBoost Driven Methodology

In the one-time selling B2B context, the buying cycle may last months or even years. During the long process, targeting customers that have a high potential to make purchases and recommending personalized campaigns accordingly are important for effective marketing. For this goal, we study the following problems, B2B customer data aggregation, customer feature generation, and prediction of whether a B2B customer would show interest in making a purchase (i.e., prediction of conversion into sales funnel). We propose an algorithm to aggregate individual contacts to the B2B customer level based on multiple keys. For non-standardized keys such as company names, we propose a novel architecture to cluster them in a domain encompassing irregularities such as spelling mistakes and spelling variants. We then define and generate a set of features and apply the CatBoost model for customer conversion prediction. Our framework achieves 91\% prediction accuracy. Based on the prediction results and analysis of the model, we then discuss personalized campaign recommendations to foster conversion.

Shear viscosity of hadrons with K-matrix cross sections

Shear viscosity ηand entropy density s of a hadronic resonance gas are calculated using the Chapman-Enskog and virial expansion methods using the K-matrix parametrization of hadronic cross sections which preserves the unitarity of the T -matrix. In the π-K-N-η- mixture considered, a total of 57 resonances up to 2 GeV were included. Comparisons are also made to results with other hadronic cross sections such as the Breit-Wigner (BW) and, where available, experimental phase shift parametrizations. Hadronic interactions forming resonances are shown to decrease the shear viscosity and increase the entropy density leading to a substantial reduction of η/s as the QCD phase transition temperature is approached.

Production of charged $ρ$ meson in bottom hadron charmed decays and the effect of the finite width correction of the $ρ$ meson

We calculate the branching ratio of a bottom hadron decaying into a charmed hadron and a charged $ρ$ meson within the QCD factorization approach. We consider the effect of the finite width correction of the $ρ$ meson. Our numerical calculation shows an obvious correction because of this effect. We find that the finite width effect of the $ρ$ meson reduces the branching ratios by about 9% to 11% for bottom meson decay channels: $B^+\to\bar{D^0}ρ^+$, $B^0\to D^-ρ^+$, and $B^0_s\to D^-_sρ^+$, and increases the branching ratio by about 10% for $Λ_b^0\toΛ_c^+ρ^-$.

Shear Viscosities from the Chapman-Enskog and the Relaxation Time Approaches

The interpretation of the measured elliptic and higher order collective flows in heavy-ion collisions in terms of viscous hydrodynamics depends sensitively on the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density. Here we perform a quantitative comparison between the results of shear viscosities from the Chapman-Enskog and relaxation time methods for selected test cases with specified elastic differential cross sections: (i) The non-relativistic, relativistic and ultra-relativistic hard sphere gas with angle and energy independent differential cross section (ii) The Maxwell gas, (iii) chiral pions and (iv) massive pions for which the differential elastic cross section is taken from experiments. Our quantitative results reveal that (i) the extent of agreement (or disagreement) depends sensitively on the energy dependence of the differential cross sections employed, and (ii) stress the need to perform quantum molecular dynamical (URQMD) simulations that employ Green-Kubo techniques with similar cross sections to validate the codes employed and to test the accuracy of other methods.
