MERIT: Mitigating Exposure Bias in Generative XMC for User-Interest Propensity Modeling

Matching users to interest categories at scale is central to personalized shopping, but the task is challenging in large e-commerce platforms, where label spaces continually evolve and user-interest signals are sparse and long-tailed. Autoregressive language models are appealing because their world knowledge and semantic priors over descriptors generalize across extreme label spaces and accommodate multiple valid label assignments. Yet under teacher-forced fine-tuning, inference-time predictions become part of the conditioning context: early errors steer later outputs toward co-occurring labels, over-generating near-correlates and missing unrelated true interests. We present MERIT, a framework for user-interest propensity modeling that mitigates this exposure bias through a self-correction objective. A permutation-invariant multi-target loss over shuffled mixtures of gold and mined hard-negative labels exposes the generator to erroneous prefixes while preserving the efficiency of teacher-forced training. This training objective concentrates supervision at classification positions, yielding propensity-aligned hidden states powering a lightweight scorer for bidirectional retrieval (interests for users and users for interests). On a proprietary e-commerce dataset with 250k+ interest categories, MERIT improves global recall by at least 11.9% and average Hit@k by 6.1%. In production A/B tests, it achieves +0.26% gain in user conversion.

Charge Order Driven Multiferroic Behaviour in Sr$_4$Fe$_6$O$_{12}$: An $\textit{Ab-initio}$ Study

In this letter, we report the structural, electronic and ferroelectric properties of the layered mixed-valent transition-metal compound, Sr$_{4}$Fe$_{6}$O$_{12}$ (SFO). We demonstrate how SFO undergoes a phase transition from a high-temperature (T) centrosymmetric tetragonal phase ($P4_{2}/mnm$) to a low-T polar orthorhombic phase ($Pmn2_{1}$). The transition is primarily driven by charge ordering at tetrahedral Fe-layer creating Fe$^{3+}$ and Fe$^{2+}$ cations between two edge sharing tetrahedra. This charge ordering induces electronic polarization, which is remarkably larger (3.5 times) in magnitude than ionic polarization and oppositely directed, giving a net polarization of 0.05 C/m$^2$ which is comparable to the state-of-the-art rare-earth nickelets and manganite perovskites. The direction of structural distortion, governed by the polar mode irrep $Γ_{5}^{-}$, depends sensitively on the type of magnetic ordering in the Fe-octahedral layer. Consequently, both the ionic and electronic polarization directions are influenced by magnetic ordering, suggesting the potential for multiferroic behavior with strong magneto-electric coupling in this material.

Ligand hole driven metal-insulator transition in a prototypical transition metal double perovskite oxide Ca$_2$FeMnO$_6$

Ca$_2$FeMnO$_6$ (CFMO) double perovskite was studied using first principles density functional theory and tight-binding (TB) Hamiltonian modeling using extended Hubbard model. We have shown by electronic structure analysis that charge- and magnetic-ordering are driven by charge disproportionation at low temperature caused by partial localization of O-$2p$ ligand holes at alternate Fe sites that creates Jahn-Teller distortion, which leads to metal to insulator transition (MIT) in CFMO. Our results suggests MIT was triggered by negative charge-transfer energy of self-hole doping, responsible for symmetry lowering transitions. Notably, the band-gap was found to fundamentally controlled by the strength of the charge-transfer energy, and not by the Mott-Hubbard interactions, which can be modeled by composition, pressure or stoichiometry modulations. The fundamental insights presented in this work will help understand similar physics and mechanisms in other class of perovskites and correlated metals.

Spectral modification of mode structures in silver nanoparticle doped Rhodamine 6G

We show in our work that very narrow (FSR~0.09 nm) lasing modes can be formed from rhodamine 6G solution confined within quartz (SiO2) cuvette with suitable pumping scheme by Q switched Nd:YAG laser. With introduction of silver nanoparticles of different concentrations in rhodamine 6G we show that such lasing modes can be modulated as well as tuned in intensity, band spacing and emission wavelength. We also show that this system maintains a very high Q value > 6.4*1000 irrespective to change in other parameters.

Key Generation and Certification using Multilayer Perceptron in Wireless communication(KGCMLP)

In this paper, a key generation and certification technique using multilayer perceptron (KGCMLP) has been proposed in wireless communication of data/information. In this proposed KGCMLP technique both sender and receiver uses an identical multilayer perceptrons. Both perceptrons are start synchronization by exchanging some control frames. During synchronization process message integrity test and synchronization test has been carried out. Only the synchronization test does not guarantee the security for this reason key certification phase also been introduced in KGCMLP technique. After Key generation and certification procedure synchronized identical weight vector forms the key for encryption/decryption. Parametric tests have been done and results are compared with some existing classical techniques, which show comparable results for the proposed technique.

Secured Wireless Communication using Fuzzy Logic based High Speed Public-Key Cryptography (FLHSPKC)

In this paper secured wireless communication using fuzzy logic based high speed public key cryptography (FLHSPKC) has been proposed by satisfying the major issues likes computational safety, power management and restricted usage of memory in wireless communication. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has several major constraints likes inadequate source of energy, restricted computational potentiality and limited memory. Though conventional Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) which is a sort of public key cryptography used in wireless communication provides equivalent level of security like other existing public key algorithm using smaller parameters than other but this traditional ECC does not take care of all these major limitations in WSN. In conventional ECC consider Elliptic curve point p, an arbitrary integer k and modulus m, ECC carry out scalar multiplication kP mod m, which takes about 80% of key computation time on WSN. In this paper proposed FLHSPKC scheme provides some novel strategy including novel soft computing based strategy to speed up scalar multiplication in conventional ECC and which in turn takes shorter computational time and also satisfies power consumption restraint, limited usage of memory without hampering the security level. Performance analysis of the different strategies under FLHSPKC scheme and comparison study with existing conventional ECC methods has been done.

Multilayer Perceptron Guided Key Generation Through Mutation with Recursive Replacement in Wireless Communication (MLPKG)

In this paper, a multilayer perceptron guided key generation for encryption/decryption (MLPKG) has been proposed through recursive replacement using mutated character code generation for wireless communication of data/information. Multilayer perceptron transmitting systems at both ends accept an identical input vector, generate an output bit and the network are trained based on the output bit which is used to form a protected variable length secret-key. For each session, different hidden layer of multilayer neural network is selected randomly and weights or hidden units of this selected hidden layer help to form a secret session key. The plain text is encrypted using mutated character code table. Intermediate cipher text is yet again encrypted through recursive replacement technique to from next intermediate encrypted text which is again encrypted to form the final cipher text through chaining, cascaded xoring of multilayer perceptron generated session key. If size of the final block of intermediate cipher text is less than the size of the key then this block is kept unaltered. Receiver will use identical multilayer perceptron generated session key for performing deciphering process for getting the recursive replacement encrypted cipher text and then mutated character code table is used for decoding. Parametric tests have been done and results are compared in terms of Chi-Square test, response time in transmission with some existing classical techniques, which shows comparable results for the proposed technique.

Energy Efficient Wireless Communication using Genetic Algorithm Guided Faster Light Weight Digital Signature Algorithm (GADSA)

In this paper GA based light weight faster version of Digital Signature Algorithm (GADSA) in wireless communication has been proposed. Various genetic operators like crossover and mutation are used to optimizing amount of modular multiplication. Roulette Wheel selection mechanism helps to select best chromosome which in turn helps in faster computation and minimizes the time requirements for DSA. Minimization of number of modular multiplication itself a NP-hard problem that means there is no polynomial time deterministic algorithm for this purpose. This paper deals with this problem using GA based optimization algorithm for minimization of the modular multiplication. Proposed GADSA initiates with an initial population comprises of set of valid and complete set of individuals. Some operators are used to generate feasible valid offspring from the existing one. Among several exponents the best solution reached by GADSA is compared with some of the existing techniques. Extensive simulations shows competitive results for the proposed GADSA.
