Topological Updating Schemes: A Case Study In 3-d U(1)
We study a topological updating scheme in three dimensional U(1) gauge theory. Some expectations for four dimensional SU(N) gauge theories are discussed.

Vortex Loops In The 3-d XY Model
We study the properties of vortex loops in the 3-d XY model. We find that the phase transition in this model is driven by the condensation of short loops into percolating loops. Paper comes as a uuencoded compressed tar-file, containing the complete PostScript file. Total file approx. 220 Kb.

The Behavior of Vortex Loops in the 3-d XY Model
The behavior of vortex loops is studied in the 3-d XY model. It is found that the phase transtiton of the 3-d XY model is caused by percolating vortex loops.

Gribov Copies and Other Gauge Fixing Beasties on the Lattice
Write-up for Lattice'92, held in Amsterdam. preprint LTH 291. Comes with 6 PostScript figures and 1 sty-file. We study the nature of gauge fixing ambiguities in two dimensional gauge theories. We find that these ambiguities can be related to the asociated spin model. They can be eliminated by means of a (multigrid) annealing algorithm.
