On primary decomposition of modules

Primary decomposition is a very important tool of commutative algebra and geometry. In this paper we generalized some of the existing algorithms of primary decomposition developed by Eisenbud et al. (cf. [EHV]) for free modules and also filled some gaps by providing proofs of important theorems(2.9, 2.12, 2.13) appeared in [EHV]. All these algorithms are programmed and implemented in {\sc Singular}.

Fourier Transform Representation of the Extended Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein Functions with Applications to the Family of the Zeta and Related Functions

On the one hand the Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein functions have been extended in such a way that they are closely related to the Riemann and other zeta functions. On the other hand the Fourier transform representation of the gamma and generalized gamma functions proved useful in deriving various integral formulae for these functions. In this paper we use the Fourier transform representation of the extended functions to evaluate integrals of products of these functions. In particular we evaluate some integrals containing the Riemann and Hurwitz zeta functions, which had not been evaluated before.

Extended Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein functions with applications to the family of zeta functions

Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein integral functions are of importance not only in quantum statistics but for their mathematical properties, in themselves. Here, we have extended these functions by introducing an extra parameter in a way that gives new insights into these functions and their relation to the family of zeta functions. These extensions are "dual" to each other in a sense that is explained. Some identities are proved for them and the relation between them and the general Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function (ϕ(z,s,v) is exploited to deduce new identities.
