Unified Pati-Salam from Noncommutative Geometry: Overview and Phenomenological Remarks

The lack of clear new-physics signals at the LHC searches motivates models that can guide current and future collider searches. The spectral action principle within the noncommutative geometry (NCG) framework yields such models with distinctive phenomenology. This formalism derives the actions of the Standard Model, General Relativity, and beyond from the underlying algebra, putting them on a common geometric footing. Certain versions of Pati-Salam (PS) models with gauge coupling unification and limited scalar content can be derived from an appropriate noncommutative algebra. In this paper, I review these gauge-coupling-unified Pati-Salam models and discuss their phenomenological aspects, focusing on the $S_1$ scalar leptoquark.

Deriving diffeomorphism symmetry

In an earlier article, we have "derived" space, as a part of the Random Dynamics project. In order to get locality we need to obtain reparametrization symmetry, or equivalently, diffeomorphism symmetry. There we sketched a procedure for how to get locality by first obtaining reparametrization symmetry, or equivalently, diffeomorphism symmetry. This is the object of the present article.

Flavour Symmetric Mass Matrices

The structure of flavour space is determined by the form of the quark mass matrices in the weak flavour space basis. We examine some matrix textures in the light of flavour permutations symmetry arguments, for three and four families.

On Chiral p-Forms

Some aspects of chiral p-forms, in particular the obstruction that makes it hard to define covariant Green functions, are discussed. It is shown that a proposed resolution involving an infinite set of gauge fields can be made mathematically rigourous in the classical case. We also give a brief demonstration of species doubling for chiral bosons.
