The Umami Chaplygin Gas as a Unified Dark Fluid: Observational Constraints, Perturbative and Thermodynamic Stability Analysis

We study a cosmological scenario in which the Universe contains standard baryonic matter, radiation, and a single unified dark fluid, the umami Chaplygin gas, which accounts for both dark matter and dark energy with no separate dark-matter component. We first analyse the thermodynamic behaviour of the fluid and show that, unlike earlier Chaplygin-type models, its thermodynamic stability is conditional rather than global: stability holds only above a critical density $ρ_1=\sqrt{|A/w|}$, the fluid reheats once this density is crossed, and a viable low-density regime requires $|w|<2$. Thermodynamic stability at the present epoch requires $|A|<|w|ρ_0^2$, a condition that is more easily met for $|w|>1$. We then constrain both the $|w|<1$ and $|w|>1$ cases with Type Ia supernovae, DESI DR2 baryon acoustic oscillations, cosmic-chronometer Hubble data and Planck 2018 distance priors through a Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis. The $|w|<1$ case fits all four datasets well, with $w \simeq -0.73$, $Ω_m^{\rm eff} \simeq 0.32$ and $H_0 \simeq 66.8$ km s$^{-1}$ Mpc$^{-1}$. It is statistically comparable to flat $Λ$CDM, with $Δ{\rm AIC}=-4.8$ and $Δ{\rm BIC}=+0.6$. Its best-fit parameters violate the stability condition. The $|w|>1$ case with a Gaussian prior satisfies the condition but fits worse, with $Δ{\rm AIC}\simeq+66$ relative to $Λ$CDM. The best fit that obeys the condition exactly still has $Δ{\rm AIC}\simeq+50$. Finally, a linear perturbation analysis shows that the adiabatic sound speed turns negative at exactly the same critical density, triggering exponential small-scale growth at late times in the observationally preferred case. These results reveal a tension between a good fit to background data and the physical stability of the umami unified dark fluid.

Observationanal and Thermodynamic Analysis of Power Law form of $f (Q)$ gravity

In this study, the power law form of f(Q) gravity $(f(Q)=Q+mQ^n)$ has been studied in view of statistical analysis with current observed data and irreversible thermodynamics. The best fit values of model specific parameters are found with the use of of 31point Hubble data, Patntheon type Supernva and 1721 point SH0ES data and a comparative study has been performed between $f(Q)$ and standard $Λ$CDM model. The thermodynamic consequence using standard Eckart theory of non-equilibrium thermodynamics has been examined independently for general form of $f(Q)$ gravity followed by power law form of $f(Q)$ where the horizon entropy is calculated using unified law of thermodynamics. Suitable range of power law model specific parameters has been explored through investigating validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics and thermodynamic equilibrium. Finally evolution nature of cosmographic parameters are studied within the specific range of $m,n$ which is compatible with the results obtained from both statistical and thermodynamical analysis.

Effects of particle creation rate in two-fluid interacting cosmologies

In this work, a two-fluid interacting model in a flat FLRW universe has been studied considering particle creation mechanism with a particular form of particle creation rate $Γ=Γ_0 H+\frac{Γ_1}{H}$ from different aspects. Statistical analysis with a combined data set of SNe Ia (Supernovae Type Ia) and Hubble data is performed to achieve the best-fit values of the model parameters, and the model is compatible with current observational data. We also perform a dynamical analysis of this model to get an overall qualitative description of the cosmological evolution by converting the governing equations into a system of ordinary differential equations considering a proper transformation of variables. We find some non-isolated sets of critical points, among which some usually are normally hyperbolic sets of points that describe the present acceleration of the universe dominated by dark energy mimicking cosmological constant or phantom fluid. Scaling solutions are also obtained from this analysis, and they can alleviate the coincidence problem successfully. Statefinder diagnosis is also carried out for this model to compare it with the $Λ$CDM, and any other dark energy models by finding various statefinder parameters. Finally, the thermodynamic analysis shows that the generalized second law of thermodynamics is valid in an irreversible thermodynamic context.

Phase Space Analysis and Thermodynamics of Interacting Umami Chaplygin gas in FRW Universe

In this work interacting Umami Chaplygin gas has been studied in flat FRW model of universe in context of it's thermodynamic and dynamical behaviour. In particular, considering Umami fluid as dark energy interacting with dark matter, irreversible thermodynamics has been studied both for apparent and event horizon as bounding horizon in two separate cases. Also the model has been investigated in purview of dynamical systems analysis by converting the cosmological evolution equations to an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations. With some restrictions on model parameter $ω$ and coupling parameter $λ$, some cosmologically interesting critical points describing late time accelerated evolution of the universe attracted by cosmological constant and accelerated scaling attractor in quintessence era have been found to alleviate coincidence problem.

Particle creation and non-equilibrium thermodynamical prescription of dark fluids for universe bounded by an event horizon

In the present work, flat FRW model of the universe is considered to be an isolated open thermodynamical system where non-equilibrium prescription has been studied using the mechanism of particle creation. In the perspective of recent observational evidences, the matter distribution in the universe is assumed to be dominated by dark matter and dark energy. The dark matter is chosen as dust while for dark energy, the following choices are considered: (i) Perfect fluid with constant equation of state and (ii) Holographic dark energy. In both the cases, the validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics (GSLT) which states that the total entropy of the fluid as well as that of the horizon should not decrease with the evolution of the universe, has been examined graphically for universe bounded by the event horizon. It is found that GSLT holds in both the cases with some restrictions on the interacting coupling parameter.

Interacting dark fluid in the universe bounded by event horizon : A non-equilibrium prescription

A non-equilibrium thermodynamic analysis has been done for the interacting dark fluid in the universe bounded by the event horizon. From observational evidences it is assumed that at present the matter in the universe is dominated by two dark sectors-dark matter and dark energy. The mutual interaction among them results in spontaneous heat flow between the horizon and the fluid system and the thermal equilibrium will no longer hold.In the present work, the dark matter is chosen in the form of dust while the dark energy is chosen as a perfect fluid with constant equation in one case and holographic dark energy model is chosen in the other. Finally, validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics has been examined in both cases.

Irreversible Thermodynamics of the Universe: Constraints from Planck Data

The present work deals with irreversible Universal thermodynamics. The homogenous and isotropic flat model of the universe is chosen as open thermodynamical system and non-equilibrium thermodynamics comes into picture due to the mechanism of particle creation. For simplicity, entropy flow is considered only due to heat conduction. Further, due to Maxwell-Cattaneo modified Fourier law for non-equilibrium phenomenon, the temperature satisfies damped wave equation instead of heat conduction equation. Validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics (GSLT) has been investigated for Universe bounded by apparent or event horizon with cosmic substrutum as perfect fluid with constant or variable equation of state or interacting dark species. Finally, we have used three Planck data sets to constrain the thermal conductivity λand the coupling parameter b^2. These constraints must be satisfied in order for GSLT to hold for Universe bounded by apparent or event horizons.

Universe Bounded By Event Horizon: A Non equilibrium Thermodynamic Prescription

The present work deals with universe bounded by the cosmological event horizon as a thermodynamical system which is irreversible in nature.Using non-equilibrium thermodynamical approach the entropy variation on the event horizon has been evaluated. The additional term in the entropy variation depends on the irreversible process parameter. Finally, two dark energy models are presented and results are analyzed.

Coherent state of a nonlinear oscillator and its revival dynamics

The coherent state of a nonlinear oscillator having a nonlinear spectrum is constructed using Gazeau Klauder formalism. The weighting distribution and the Mandel parameter are studied. Details of the revival structure arising from different time scales underlying the quadratic energy spectrum are investigated by the phase analysis of the autocorrelation function.

Coherent state of the effective mass harmonic oscillator

We construct coherent state of the effective mass harmonic oscillator and examine some of its properties. In particular closed form expressions of coherent states for different choices of the mass function are obtained and it is shown that such states are not in general x-p uncertainty states. We also compute the associated Wigner functions.
