Nonparametric estimation of linear multiplier for processes driven by a Hermite process

We study the problem of nonparametric estimation of the linear multiplier function $θ(t)$ for processes satisfying stochastic differential equations of the type $$dX_t=θ(t) X_tdt+ εdZ^{q,H}_t, X_0=x_0, 0\leq t \leq T$$ where $\{Z^{q,H}_t, t \geq 0\}$ is a Hermite process with known order $q$ and known self-similarity parameter $H \in (\frac{1}{2},1).$ We investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the estimator of the unknown function $θ(t)$ as $ε\rightarrow 0.$

Parameter estimation for generalized mixed fractional stochastic heat equation

We study the properties of a stochastic heat equation with a generalized mixed fractional Brownian noise. We obtain the covariance structure, stationarity and obtain bounds for the asymptotic behaviour of the solution. We suggest estimators for the unknown parameters based on discrete time observations and study their asymptotic properties.

On a characterization of probability distribution based on maxima of independent or max-independent random variables

Kotlarski (1978) proved a result on identification of the distributions of independent random variables $X,Y$ and $Z$ from the joint distribution of the bivariate random vector $(U,V)$ where $(U,V)= (\max(X,Z),\max(Y,Z)).$ We extend this result to the case $(U,V)=(\max(X,aZ_1,bZ_2),\max(Y,cZ_1,dZ_2))$ where $X,Y,Z_1,Z_2$ are independent or max-independent random variables, $Z_1$ and $Z_2$ are identically distributed and $a,b,c,d$ are known positive constants.

Nonparametric estimation of linear multiplier for processes driven by a bifractional Brownian motion

We study the problem of nonparametric estimation of the linear multiplier function $θ(t)$ for processes satisfying stochastic differential equations of the type $$dX_t=θ(t)X_tdt+εdW_t^{H,K}, X_0=x_0,0\leq t \leq T$$ where $\{W_t^{H,K}, t \geq 0\}$ is a bifractional Brownian motion with known parameters $H\in (0,1), K\in (0,1]$ and $HK\in (\frac{1}{2},1).$ We investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the estimator of the unknown function $θ(t)$ as $ε\rightarrow 0.$

On some characterizations of probability distributions based on maxima or minima of some families of dependent random variables

Most of the characterizations of probability distributions are based on properties of functions of possibly independent random variables. We investigate characterizations of probability distributions through properties of minima or maxima of max-independent, min-independent and quasi-independent random variables generalizing the results from independent random variables of Kotlarski (1978), Prakasa Rao (1992) and Klebanov (1973).

Discrete Gronwall inequalities for demimartingales

The aim of this work is to obtain discrete versions of stochastic Gronwall inequalities involving demimartingale sequences. The results generalize the respective theorems for martingales provided by Kruse and Scheutzow (2018) and Hendy et al. (2022). Moreover, we present an application which provides an upper bound for the a priori estimate of the backward Euler-Maruyama numerical scheme.

On the long range dependence of time-changed generalized mixed fractional Brownian motion

We introduce a generalized mixed fractional Brownian motion (gmfBm) as a linear combination of two independent fractional Brownian motions with possibly different Hurst indices and investigate conditions under which the time-changed gmfBm exhibit long range dependence when the time-change is induced by a tempered stable subordinator or a Gamma process.

Maximal inequalities and convergence results on multidimensionally indexed demimartingales

We obtain some maximal probability and moment inequalities for multidimensionally indexed demimartingales. Although the class of single-indexed demimartingales has been studied extensively, no significant amount of work has been done for the corresponding multiindexed class of random variables. This work aims to fill in this gap in the literature by extending well-known inequalities and asymptotic results to this more general class of random variables.
