Hybrid HMM Decoder For Convolutional Codes By Joint Trellis-Like Structure and Channel Prior

The anti-interference capability of wireless links is a physical layer problem for edge computing. Although convolutional codes have inherent error correction potential due to the redundancy introduced in the data, the performance of the convolutional code is drastically degraded due to multipath effects on the channel. In this paper, we propose the use of a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) for the reconstruction of convolutional codes and decoding by the Viterbi algorithm. Furthermore, to implement soft-decision decoding, the observation of HMM is replaced by Gaussian mixture models (GMM). Our method provides superior error correction potential than the standard method because the model parameters contain channel state information (CSI). We evaluated the performance of the method compared to standard Viterbi decoding by numerical simulation. In the multipath channel, the hybrid HMM decoder can achieve a performance gain of 4.7 dB and 2 dB when using hard-decision and soft-decision decoding, respectively. The HMM decoder also achieves significant performance gains for the RSC code, suggesting that the method could be extended to turbo codes.

Hardness prediction of age-hardening aluminum alloy based on ensemble learning

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the combination of material database and machine learning has driven the progress of material informatics. Because aluminum alloy is widely used in many fields, so it is significant to predict the properties of aluminum alloy. In this thesis, the data of Al-Cu-Mg-X (X: Zn, Zr, etc.) alloy are used to input the composition, aging conditions (time and temperature) and predict its hardness. An ensemble learning solution based on automatic machine learning and an attention mechanism introduced into the secondary learner of deep neural network are proposed respectively. The experimental results show that selecting the correct secondary learner can further improve the prediction accuracy of the model. This manuscript introduces the attention mechanism to improve the secondary learner based on deep neural network, and obtains a fusion model with better performance. The R-Square of the best model is 0.9697 and the MAE is 3.4518HV.

TLFW: A Three-layer Framework in Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Network with a Mobile Base Station

Wireless sensor networks as the base support for the Internet of things has been a large number of popularity and application. Such as intelligent agriculture, we have to use the sensor network to obtain the growth environmental data of crops, etc.. However, the difficulty of power supply of wireless nodes has seriously hindered the application and development of Internet of things. In order to solve this problem, people use low-power, sleep scheduling and other energy-saving methods on the nodes. Although these methods can prolong the working time of nodes, they will eventually become invalid because of the exhaustion of energy. The use of solar energy, wind energy, and wireless signals in the environment to obtain energy is another way to solve the energy problem of nodes. However, these methods are affected by weather, environment and other factors, and are unstable. Thus, the discontinuity work of the node is caused. In recent years, the development of wireless power transfer (WPT) has brought another solution to this problem. In this paper, a three-layer framework is proposed for mobile station data collection in rechargeable wireless sensor networks to keep the node running forever, named TLFW which includes the sensor layer, cluster head layer, and mobile station layer. And the framework can minimize the total energy consumption of the system. The simulation results show that the scheme can reduce the energy consumption of the entire system, compared with a Mobile Station in a Rechargeable Sensor Network(MSiRSN).
