Determination of electroweak parameters at HERA with the H1 experiment

Using deep inelastic $e^{\pm}p$ charged and neutral current scattering cross sections previously published, a combined electroweak and QCD analysis is performed to determine electroweak parameters accounting for their correlation with parton distributions. The data used have been collected by the H1 experiment in 1994-2000 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 117.2 pb$^{-1}$. The $W$ boson mass is determined via the propagator and in the on-mass-shell scheme. A first measurement at HERA is made of the light quark weak couplings to the $Z^0$ boson.

H1 QCD analysis of inclusive cross section data

This contribution reviews the QCD analysis of the H1 inclusive DIS data. Flavor separated parton densities are extracted in a NLO QCD fit using neutral and charged current HERA I data. The results of a dedicated QCD analysis of the gluon and $α_s$ are also reviewed.

High Q**2 Structure Functions and Parton Distributions

This contribution reviews the main achievements in inclusive measurements made by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations during the first phase of HERA data taking. The QCD analysis of these data by both collaborations are described. The case for a common QCD analysis is briefly discussed, with an emphasis on the possible $W$ mass extraction.

Strange sea asymmetry from global QCD fits

We present a preliminary account of a new global QCD analysis of DIS data, including recent $ν, \bar ν$ DIS measurements. The model-independent cross section reanalysis by CCFR allows a new determination of the strange sea asymmetry, whose first moment is found to be small. The impact on the NuTeV measurement of $\sin^2 θ_W$ is discussed.
