Interactions and State Constraints via Induced Nonlinear Realizations of Lie Groups

This is a study of induced nonlinear realizations of a Lie group G in which the presence of one field induces nonlinear transformations on another field. The covariant derivative structure is similar in form to that for local gauge theory. For an arbitrary Lie group, basic equations and non standard invariant Lagrangian forms are described. Covariant constraint equations that place restrictions on field components are presented. With G = SU(2), a detail application to the electroweak model is discussed. We first show that the standard Lagrangian for the gauge $SU(2) \times U(1)$ electroweak model is invariant. We then show that an alternate invariant Lagrangian is also possible. In it, the intermediate boson masses arise from the adjoint field rather than from the Higgs doublet. An alternate invariant lepton Lagrangian is presented. Covariant constraints on the right-handed lepton field lead to two right-handed neutrino fields. One vanishes at the point where we obtain a massless (photon) field and the second one has no interaction. This provides a clear explanation why weak interactions do not involve right-handed neutrinos, while permitting neutrinos with mass. This model also indicates a different region of matter involving coupled leptons that are "blind" to the massless electromagnetic field but "see" four massive potentials that are themselves blind to the electromagnetic field. We argue that these more difficult to detect "dark" fields provide a possible contribution to the missing mass.

Alternate Gauge Electroweak Model

We describe an alternate gauge electroweak model that permits neutrinos with mass, and at the same time explains why right-handed neutrinos do not appear in weak interactions. This is a local gauge theory involving a space [V ] of three scalar functions. The standard Lagrangian density for the Yang-Mills field part and Higgs doublet remain invariant. A ma jor change is made in the transformation and corresponding Lagrangian density parts involving the right-handed leptons. A picture involving two types of right-handed leptons emerges. A dichotomy of matter on the [V ] space corresponds to coupled and uncoupled right-handed Leptons. Here, we describe a covariant dipole-mode solution in which the neutral bosons Aμ and Zμ produce precessions on [V ]. The W {\pm} μ bosons provide nutations on [V ], and consequently, provide transitions between the coupled and uncoupled regions. To elucidate the [V ] space matter dichotomy, and to generate the boson masses, we also provide an alternate potential Lagrangian density.

Absence of Right-Handed Neutrino in Weak Interactions: Explanation via Nonlinear Electroweak Model

The nonlinear SU(2) electroweak model is used to explain the absence of the right-handed neutrino in weak interactions. Two covariant eigenvalue constraints which affect the transformation lead to two classes of right-handed leptons, and make possible invariant mass terms without the Higgs doublet. A covariant picture of neutrinos with mass is presented. A new invariant form for the boson potentials is described in which the boson mass terms arises via the adjoint field. This model also indicates a different region of matter involving coupled leptons that are "blind" to the massless electromagnetic field but "see" four massive potentials that are themselves blind to the electromagnetic field. We argue that these more difficult to detect "dark" fields provide a possible contribution to the missing mass.

Ghost Diffraction: Causal Explanation via Correlated Trajectory Calculations

We use trajectory calculations to successfully explain two-photon "ghost" diffraction, a phenomenon previously explained via quantum mechanical entanglement. The diffraction patterns are accumulated one photon pair at a time. The calculations are based on initial correlation of the trajectories in the crystal source and a trajectory-wave ordering interaction with a variant generator inherent in its structure. Details are presented in comparison with ordinary diffraction calculated with the same trajectory model.

Law of Malus and Photon-Photon Correlations: A Quasi-Deterministic Analyzer Model

For polarization experiments involving photon counting we introduce a quasi-deterministic eigenstate transition model of the analyzer process. Distributions accumulated one photon at a time, provide a deterministic explanation for the law of Malus. We combine this analyzer model with causal polarization coupling to calculate photon-photon correlations, one photon pair at a time. The calculated correlations exceed the Bell limits and show excellent agreement with the measured correlations of [ A. Aspect, P. Grangier and G. Rogers, Phys. Rev. Lett. 49 91 (1982)]. We discuss why this model exceeds the Bell type limits.

Two-particle correlations via quasi-deterministic analyzer model

We introduce a quasi-deterministic eigenstate transition model of analyzers in which the final eigenstate is selected by initial conditions. We combine this analyzer model with causal spin coupling to calculate both proton-proton and photon-photon correlations, one particle pair at a time. The calculated correlations exceed the Bell limits and show excellent agreement with the measured correlations of [M. Lamehi-Rachti and W. Mittig, Phys. Rev. D 14 (10), 2543 (1976)] and [ A. Aspect, P. Grangier and G. Rogers, Phys. Rev. Lett. 49 91 (1982)] respectively. We discuss why this model exceeds the Bell type limits.
