Repetitive Penrose Process in Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole spacetime

In this article, we study the repetitive Penrose process for the Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole (BH). First of all, we briefly review the spacetime of the Kerr-Taub-NUT BH, including horizon and ergosphere structures. The results indicate that the event horizon and ergosphere radii increase under the influence of the gravitomagnetic charge $l$. Subsequently, we find by using the irreducible mass of the BH that the extractable energy decreases with the rise of the gravitomagnetic charge. We then turn to the repetitive Penrose process by writing the conservation laws and setting the corresponding iterative stopping conditions. Furthermore, we numerically calculate the change in the BH's parameters, along with the corresponding quantities of the repetitive Penrose process, for each iteration.

Chaotic motion and power spectral density in Schwarzschild Bertotti-Robinson black hole spacetime

In this paper, we show that in weak field limit Schwarzschild Bertotti-Robinson black hole (Schwarzschild-BR BH) turns into Schwarzschild black hole immersed in external uniform magnetic field which is given in 1. The dynamics of both magnetized and electrically charged particles in the vicinity of a Schwarzschild-BR black hole are investigated. The innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) for both magnetized and electrically charged particles are examined in detail, revealing that the magnetic field parameter B exerts a considerable influence, leading to an increase in the ISCO radius. The orbital and epicyclic motion of test particles in Schwarzschild-BR black hole spacetime was analyzed, including both circular orbits and their oscillatory perturbations. Additionally, the trajectories of both magnetized and electrically charged particles are analyzed for various configurations of the magnetic parameter B. We also demonstrate how the magnetic field B, electric charge q, and magnetic moment μ influence the dynamics of charged particles, specifically affecting the chaotic behavior, Poincare' sections, oscillatory frequencies and power spectral density.

Plasma impact on black hole shadow and gravitational weak lensing for Schwarzschild-like black hole

This article delves into the observational properties of a Schwarzschild-like black hole (BH). Initially, the research provides a succinct examination of the spacetime geometry and the configuration of its horizon. Furthermore, we study the photon dynamics around the Schwarzschild-like BH in the presence of the plasma using the Hamiltonian formalism. It was found that the photon sphere radii increase under the influence of the plasma frequency and vice versa for the spacetime parameters. Further exploration is dedicated to understanding how the plasma affects the shadow of the BH, and we find that the radius of the BH shadow shrinks with the rise of the $ξ$ parameter and plasma frequency. We then turn to the getting constraint of the spacetime parameters and the plasma frequency by using the observational data released by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration for the M87* and Sgr A*. Additionally, the research scrutinises the phenomenon of gravitational weak lensing in the vicinity of a Schwarzschild-like BH, considering both uniform and non-uniform plasma scenarios. The outcomes demonstrate that the angle of deflection increases under the influence of a uniform plasma frequency, whereas the opposite is true for non-uniform plasma. In both scenarios, a rise in the spacetime parameters results in a decrease in the deflection angle. Finally, we investigate the magnification of the gravitationally lensed image. The effect of the spacetime parameters and plasma frequencies on the total magnification are same as in the deflection angles.

Spherically-symmetrical vacuum solution in Freund-Nambu scalar-tensor gravity

Scalar--tensor theories of gravity provide a natural extension of general relativity and may predict naked singularities as alternative compact objects. In this work, we investigate a novel exact solution within the Freud--Nambu scalar--tensor gravity framework, generalizing the Janis--Newman--Winicour (JNW) naked singularity spacetime through the introduction of a parameter $q$ coupled to a real scalar field $φ$ with mass $μ$. Although the metric remains identical to the JNW solution, the scalar field profile is modified, providing a parametrized deformation of this class of spacetimes. We analyze particle dynamics in this background, including a direct linear coupling between the test particle and the scalar field characterized by the parameter $g_s$. The influence of these parameters on astrophysical observables is studied through the specific angular momentum, the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO), and the radiative efficiency of accretion. We also derive the epicyclic frequencies governing oscillatory motion and explore their implications for quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in black hole binaries. Within the epicyclic resonance model, the upper and lower QPO frequencies depend sensitively on the parameters $n$, $g_s$, and $q$. To constrain the model, we perform a Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis using twin-peak QPO data from the microquasars XTE~J1550--564 and GRS~1915+105. The resulting black hole masses agree with previous estimates and provide the first observational constraints on the parameters $q$ and $g_s$, indicating that modified gravity effects may leave detectable imprints on strong-field astrophysical phenomena.

Effect of gravitational lensing around black hole in dark matter halo in the presence of plasma

This article is devoted to the investigation of the observational properties of the Schwarzschild black hole (BH) surrounded by a dark matter (DM) halo. Our study commences with a brief review of spacetime, including the horizon structure and curvature invariants, which are the Ricci scalar, the square of the Ricci tensor, and the Kretschmann scalar. Subsequently, we explore the massive and massless particle dynamics around the Schwarzschild BH surrounded by a dark matter halo, including the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) and photon sphere radii. It was found that the radius of the ISCO increases under the influence of the spacetime parameters. Additionally, we investigate the weak gravitational lensing with the assumption that the BH is surrounded by a uniform and non-uniform plasma. Finally, we examine the impact of a plasma on the BH shadow and employ Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) observational data to constrain the BH's parameters.

Josephson Effects in Slowly Rotating Spacetimes

We investigate Josephson phenomena in a slowly rotating stationary spacetime, emphasizing the distinct roles of gravitational redshift and rotational frame dragging motivated by [10.1007/JHEP02(2026)006]. Using a covariant formulation based on gauge-invariant phase dynamics and conserved currents within a $3+1$ decomposition, we analyze both AC and DC Josephson effects and interferometric configurations. Restricting attention to linear order in the rotation parameter $a$, and working in the Eulerian/ZAMO frame, we show that in the slow-rotation slicing adopted here the lapse function agrees with its static (Schwarzschild-type) form up to $\mathcal{O}(a^2)$, while rotational effects enter through the shift vector. Consequently, redshift effects on Josephson frequencies and DC critical currents remain unchanged relative to the non-rotating case at $\mathcal{O}(a)$. The AC Josephson relation retains its redshifted structure when expressed in terms of proper voltages and reduces to the standard flat-spacetime form when formulated in terms of asymptotic (Killing-time) observables. Likewise, the DC critical current measured at infinity scales with a single power of the lapse function and is unaffected by rotation at linear order in the absence of azimuthal condensate momentum. Rotational effects become relevant only in configurations sensitive to spatial phase transport or to synchronization with respect to the global time coordinate. In particular, RF-driven interferometric setups can acquire Sagnac-type phase offsets associated with frame dragging, whereas the DC fluxoid constraint remains unshifted at linear order in the present approximation. Our results provide a clean separation between lapse-driven redshift effects and shift-driven rotational contributions in Josephson physics and furnish a consistent framework for superconducting circuits in stationary spacetimes.

Can a Dehnen-type dark matter halo affect the neutrino flavor oscillations?

The gravitational weak lensing of neutrinos in the presence of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by a Dehnen-type dark matter halo is investigated. The event horizon structure is explored, and the existence of the BH is studied in two different slices of the parameter space. Additionally, we derive analytic expressions for the oscillation phase and transition probabilities for both radial and non-radial neutrino propagation. Finally, we use a two-flavor toy model, and numerically analyze how the dark matter halo parameters as density and scale radius, affect oscillation probabilities and examine the role of decoherence. The results show that the presence of a dark matter halo modifies the oscillation phase and damping factor, leading to measurable deviations from the standard Schwarzschild BH case. These findings suggest that neutrino oscillations could, in principle, serve as a probe for dark matter distributions around compact astrophysical objects.

New analytical model of static black hole with a dark matter halo and parametric constraints through quasiperiodic oscillations

A novel analytical Schwarzschild-like black hole (BH) solution is derived. It exhibits a static BH with a dark matter (DM) halo characterized by a Dehnen-type density profile. This solution could represent an alternative perspective on the interaction of black hole-dark matter systems, providing new insights into the fundamental properties of DM halos. We study the properties of the newly derived BH solution by examining its spacetime curvature characteristics and energy conditions, providing insights into how the DM halo influences these fundamental characteristics. Additionally, we analyze the timelike geodesics of test particles in the obtained BH-DM spacetime, highlighting how the presence of the novel Dehnen-type DM halo alters the gravitational dynamics and modifies particle trajectories. Increase of the DM halo's density $ρ_s$ and characteristic scale $r_s$ leads to an outward shift of both stable and unstable circular orbits. Finally, we test our model by fitting it to real data from the microquasars GRO J1655-40, GRS 1915+105, and XTE J1550-564 using a statistical Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method. This allows us to find the best estimates for the properties of the DM halo surrounding these systems.

Probing quantum corrected black hole through astrophysical tests with the orbit of S2 star and quasiperiodic oscillations

In this study, we explore the influence of the quantum correction parameter $ξ$ on the motion of particles and the properties of quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) around a quantum-corrected black hole (QCBH). We first analyze the geodesics of a test particle and derive weak-field constraints on parameter $ξ$ from the perihelion precession of orbits, using observations from the Solar System and the S2 star's orbit around $\text{SgrA}^\star$ supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy. We obtain $ξ\leq 0.01869$ and $ξ\leq 0.73528$ using the analysis of Solar System observations and the orbit of the S2 star around $\text{SgrA}^\star$, respectively. In the strong-field regime, we examine the dynamics of epicyclic motion around astrophysical black holes and, using observational data from four QPO sources and the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method, we determine the upper constraint $ξ\leq 2.086$. Our results provide new insights into the effects of quantum corrections on black hole spacetimes and highlight the potential of QPOs as a probe for testing quantum gravity in astrophysical environments.

Horizon-Brightened Acceleration Radiation and Optical Signatures of Generic Regular Black Holes from Nonlinear Electrodynamics

We investigate horizon-brightened acceleration radiation (HBAR) and optical signatures for a broad class of regular black holes sourced by nonlinear electrodynamics. The spacetimes considered are static, spherically symmetric, and nonsingular, and they include Bardeen-like, and Hayward-like regular black-hole limits as spacial cases. We characterize the horizon structure and thermodynamics properties, and we compute key optical observables by determining the photon-sphere location and the corresponding shadow size as seen by distant observers, including controlled perturbative limits and full numerical solutions. Using angular-size constraints for SgrA* and M87* from the Event Horizon Telescope and the GRAVITY collaboration, we perform a Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis to infer the admissible parameter ranges of the model and to quantify degeneracies among the black-hole mass and nonlinear-electrodynimcs parameters. On the quantum side, we develop the near-horizon reduction relevant for HBAR, showing that the dominant sector governing the detector response exhibits conformal behavior and leads to a thermal excitation spectrum governed by the horizon temperature. We formulate a Lindblad master-equation description of the radiation field, identify the thermal steady state, and derive an HBAR entropy-energy relation consistent with a Clausius-type first law. Finally, we establish a Wien-type displacement law for the HBAR spectrum, expressing the peak wavelength in terms of the horizon thermodynamics, thereby providing an additional observable link between nonlinear electrodynamics, regularity, and near-horizon quantum radiation.

New analytical model of rotating black hole with dark matter halo: constraints from EHT observations and accretion disk

In this paper, we start from a static black hole (BH) immersed in a Deanne-type dark matter (DM) halo and employ the Newman-Janis algorithm (NJA) to generate the rotating black hole solution with a dark matter halo. Also, we have checked the validity of the obtained space-time. Then we study optical properties of newly obtained rotating BH in DM halo, including the shadow's geometrical shape, deflection angle of light based Ono, Ishihara and Asada (OID) method, photon sphere and the dependence of the shadow radius on DM parameters. Additionally, assuming that spacetime of a supermassive black hole (SMBH) is described by the newly obtained rotating BH solution, we analyze the parameters of the model with shadow size estimates based on the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) and Gravity collaboration observations of M87* and Sgr A* SMBHs. Then we have used Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis to constrain DM parameters $ρ_s$, $r_s$ and BH mass M, BH spin a, also we show that best-fit values for the parameters $ρ_s$, $r_s$ are well agreement with previous results which indicate physically reasonability of the our model. Finally, we have analyzed the electromagnetic radiation flux of the rotating BH in the DM halo employing a ray tracing code.

Optical Signatures of a Schwarzschild Black Hole in a Dehnen-Type Dark Matter Halo

In this paper, the optical effects that occur near a Schwarzschild-like black hole (BH) with a Dehnen-type $(1,4,2)$ dark matter (DM) halo are explored. We first derive the photon sphere radius and obtain an analytical expression for the deflection angle in the weak-field regime by applying the Gauss-Bonnet theorem (GBT). For the strong-field regime, we perform ray-tracing calculations to examine the behavior of light trajectories and determine the corresponding number of orbits. We further compute the BH shadow and gravitational lensing in a plasma medium and provide constraints arising from the DM halo parameters. We also extend our analysis to weak gravitational lensing within plasma environments, considering both uniform and singular isothermal sphere (SIS) distributions. We find the analytical expressions for the deflection angle in the presence of plasma and examine the resulting effects on image magnification. The overall results highlight how DM halo properties and plasma characteristics jointly alter observable lensing signatures.

Acceleration Radiation of Freely Falling Atoms: Nonlinear Electrodynamic Effects

Motivated by the work of Scully \textit{et al.} [ \textcolor{blue}{Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 115, 8131 (2018)}] and Camblong \textit{et al.}[ \textcolor{blue}{Phys. Rev. D 102, 085010 (2020)}], we investigate horizon-brightened acceleration radiation (HBAR) for freely falling two-level atoms in the geometry of a Bardeen regular black hole. Building on the quantum-optics approach to acceleration radiation and its near-horizon conformal quantum mechanics (CQM) structure, we show that the dominant physics is again governed by an inverse-square potential in the radial Klein-Gordon equation, with an effective coupling fixed by the Bardeen surface gravity. Using geodesic expansions and a near-horizon CQM reduction of the scalar field, we derive the excitation probability for atoms falling through a Boulware-like vacuum in the presence of a stretched-horizon mirror. The resulting spectrum is Planckian in the mode frequency, with a temperature determined by the Bardeen Hawking temperature. We analyze how the regular core parameter controls the strength of the radiation and demonstrate that the excitation probability is strongly suppressed as the geometry approaches the extremal (cold remnant) limit. Numerical results illustrate the dependence of the spectrum on the Bardeen parameter and on the atomic transition frequency.

Probing the gravity of a Schwarzschild black hole in the presence of a cloud of strings with EMRIs

Here, we explore the effect of the cloud of strings (CoS) on the gravitational waveforms of extreme mass ratio inspirals (EMRIs). The EMRI system consists of a supermassive black hole (BH) and a compact stellar mass object moving around it. We begin with studying the test particle motion around the Schwarzschild BH surrounded by a CoS by using the Lagrangian formalism. Moreover, we investigated the effect of the CoS parameter on the evolution of the semi-latus rectum and eccentricity. We then turn to the exploration of the impact of the CoS parameter on the gravitational waveforms of the EMRI system. The analysis performed shows that Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) could detect the CoS imprint in gravitational waveforms when the values of the string cloud parameter $α\gtrsim 2 \times 10^{-6}$.

Gravitational waveforms from periodic orbits around a dyonic ModMax black hole

In this work, we study the gravitational waveforms from the periodic orbits of a massive particle around a dyonic ModMax black hole. We begin with a brief analysis of the spacetime and then examine how its parameters influence the dynamics of a massive neutral particle using the Lagrangian formalism. In particular, we compute the characteristics of marginally bound orbits and innermost stable circular orbits. Our results show that the values of these quantities increase with the black hole charge $Q$ and the screening parameter $γ$. We then plot various periodic orbits, characterized by the integers ($z$,$w$,$v$). Finally, we present the gravitational waveforms associated with extreme mass ratio inspirals, consisting of a stellar-mass compact object orbiting a supermassive black hole.

Exploring black hole shadows in axisymmetric spacetimes with coordinate-independent methods and neural networks

The study of black hole shadows provides a powerful tool for testing the predictions of general relativity and exploring deviations from the standard Kerr metric in the strong gravitational field regime. Here, we investigate the shadow properties of axisymmetric gravitational compact objects using a coordinate-independent formalism. We analyze black hole shadows in various spacetime geometries, including the Kerr, Taub-NUT, $γ$, and Kaluza-Klein metrics, to identify distinctive features that can be used to constrain black hole parameters. To achieve a more robust characterization, we employ both Legendre and Fourier expansions, demonstrating that the Fourier approach may offer better coordinate independence and facilitate cross-model comparisons. Finally, we develop a machine learning framework based on neural networks trained on synthetic shadow data, enabling precise parameter estimation from observational results. Using data from observational astronomical facilities such as the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), Keck, and the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI), we provide constraints on black hole parameters derived from shadow observations. Our findings highlight the potential of coordinate-independent techniques and machine learning for advancing black hole astrophysics and testing fundamental physics beyond general relativity.

Regular black hole's impact on the gravitational waveforms from periodic orbits

In this paper, we investigate periodic orbits exhibiting zoom-whirl behavior around a magnetically charged black hole (MCBH) within the framework of the regular black hole. We examine how the magnetic charge influences orbital dynamics by modifying the background spacetime geometry, thereby affecting the energy and angular momentum of particles. In particular, we calculate the radii of the marginally bound orbits (MBOs) and innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), demonstrating that the magnetic charge parameter reduces both radii. This provides valuable insight into the role of the charge parameter in shaping orbital behavior and altering spacetime geometry. We model the complex motion of a stellar-mass object as a timelike particle, inspiraling into a supermassive black hole (SMBH) in the MCBH background, with its trajectory described using periodic geodesic orbits. Based on this analysis of such periodic orbits, we further analyze the gravitational waveforms generated by extreme mass ratio inspirals (EMRIs), in which the SMBH's spacetime dominates the dynamics of the stellar-mass object. By combining particle trajectory analysis with waveform modeling in a semi-analytical approach, we show that the charge parameter significantly alters the zoom-whirl orbital dynamics and induces notable changes in the waveform structure. These results illustrate that future gravitational wave (GW) observations may constrain the properties of MCBHs, thereby deepening our understanding of the gravitational imprint of regular black holes.

Gravitational waveforms from periodic orbits around a Schwarzschild black hole embedded in a Dehnen-type dark matter halo

In this paper, we study the periodic orbits, characterized by zoom-whirl behavior, around a Schwarzschild-like black hole (BH) embedded within a Dehnen-type dark matter (DM) halo. We demonstrate how the DM halo modifies the gravitational dynamics of the black hole, influencing the energy and angular momentum of timelike particle geodesics and enhancing their interaction with the BH. We determine the radii of the marginally bound orbits (MBOs) and innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), showing that the DM halo increases both. This provides a deeper understanding of how the DM alters the behavior, energy, and angular momentum of timelike particle geodesics. Furthermore, we explore the gravitational waveforms emitted by a timelike particle in periodic orbits around a supermassive black hole (SMBH) within this BH-DM system. Using a semi-analytical approach, we calculate particle trajectories and derive the corresponding waveforms, demonstrating that the DM halo modifies the zoom-whirl orbital behavior, leading to distinct changes in the waveform structure. Our findings suggest that future gravitational wave (GW) observations could constrain the properties of DM halos surrounding BHs, providing new insights into the gravitational wave signatures arising from the interaction between BH gravity and DM.
