Comparison of spaces associated to DGLA via higher holonomy

Fof a nilpotent differential graded Lie algebra whose components vanish in degrees below -1 we construct an explicit equivalence between the nerve of the Deligne 2-groupoid and the simplicial set of differential forms with values in the Lie algebra introduced by V.Hinich. The construction uses the theory of non-abelian multiplicative integration.

A microlocal category associated to a symplectic manifold

For a symplectic manifold satisfying some topological condition,we define a special class of modules over the deformation quantization algebra. For any two such modules we construct an infinity local system of morphisms. We construct such special module starting from a Lagrangian submanifold satisfying a topological condition. We compare the result to Morse theory, to the microlocal category of sheaves recently defined by Tamarkin, and to the Fukaya category of the two-dimensional torus. Several appendices explain the motivations that come from asymptotic analysis of pseudo-differential operators and distributions.

Deligne groupoid revisited

We show that for a differential graded Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ whose components vanish in degrees below -1 the nerve of the Deligne 2-groupoid is homotopy equivalent to the simplicial set of $\mathfrak{g}$-valued differential forms introduced by V.Hinich.

Formality theorem for gerbes

We extend the formality theorem of Maxim Kontsevich from deformations of the structure sheaf on a manifold to deformations of gerbes on smooth and complex manifolds.

Free products, cyclic homology, and the Gauss-Manin connection

We present a new approach to cyclic homology that does not involve the Connes differential and is based on a `noncommutative equivariant de Rham complex' of an associative algebra. The differential in that complex is a sum of the Karoubi-de Rham differential, which replaces the Connes differential, and another operation analogous to contraction with a vector field. As a byproduct, we give a simple explicit construction of the Gauss-Manin connection, introduced earlier by E. Getzler, on the relative cyclic homology of a flat family of associative algebras over a central base ring. We introduce and study `free-product deformations' of an associative algebra, a new type of deformation over a not necessarily commutative base ring. Natural examples of free-product deformations arise from preprojective algebras and group algebras for compact surface groups.

Proof of Swiss Cheese Version of Deligne's Conjecture

For an associative algebra A we consider the pair "the Hochschild cochain complex C*(A,A) and the algebra A". There is a natural 2-colored operad which acts on this pair. We show that this operad is quasi-isomorphic to the singular chain operad of Voronov's Swiss Cheese operad. This statement is the Swiss Cheese version of the Deligne conjecture formulated by M. Kontsevich in arXiv:math/9904055.

Oscilatory modules

Developing the ideas of Bressler and Soibelman and of Karabegov, we introduce a notion of an oscillatory module on a symplectic manifold which is a sheaf of modules over the sheaf of deformation quantization algebras with an additional structure. We compare the category of oscillatory modules on a torus to the Fukaya category as computed by Polishchuk and Zaslow.

Formality for algebroid stacks

We extend the formality theorem of M. Kontsevich from deformations of the structure sheaf on a manifold to deformations of gerbes.

Deformations of algebroid stacks

In this paper we consider deformations of an algebroid stack on an etale groupoid. We construct a differential graded Lie algebra (DGLA) which controls this deformation theory. In the case when the algebroid is a twisted form of functions we show that this DGLA is quasiisomorphic to the twist of the DGLA of Hochschild cochains on the algebra of functions on the groupoid by the characteristic class of the corresponding gerbe.

Formality of the homotopy calculus algebra of Hochschild (co)chains

The Kontsevich-Soibelman solution of the cyclic version of Deligne's conjecture and the formality of the operad of little discs on a cylinder provide us with a natural homotopy calculus structure on the pair (C^*(A), C_*(A)) ``Hochschild cochains + Hochschild chains'' of an associative algebra A. We show that for an arbitrary smooth algebraic variety X with the structure sheaf O_X the sheaf (C^*(O_X), C_*(O_X)) of homotopy calculi is formal. This result was announced in paper [29] by the second and the third author.

The homotopy Gerstenhaber algebra of Hochschild cochains of a regular algebra is formal

The solution of Deligne's conjecture on Hochschild cochains and the formality of the operad of little disks provide us with a natural homotopy Gerstenhaber algebra structure on the Hochschild cochains of an associative algebra. In this paper we construct a natural chain of quasi-isomorphisms of homotopy Gerstenhaber algebras between the Hochschild cochain complex C(A) of a regular commutative algebra A over a field of characteristic zero and the Gerstenhaber algebra of multiderivations of A. Unlike the original approach of the second author based on the computation of obstructions our method allows us to avoid the bulky Gelfand-Fuchs trick and prove the formality of the homotopy Gerstenhaber algebra structure on the sheaf of polydifferential operators on a smooth algebraic variety, a complex manifold, and a smooth real manifold.
