Generation and Enhancement of Bipartite and Tripartite Entanglement in an Electro-Optomechanical Ring Cavity

This study investigates the generation and enhancement of quantum entanglement in an electro-optomechanical ring cavity system. The setup integrates two Coulomb-coupled mechanical resonators, which serve as the fundamental mechanism for the generation of bipartite and tripartite entanglement via charge mediated coupling. We then demonstrate the significant enhancement of this entanglement via a nonlinear parametric drive (an optical parametric amplifier, OPA), which injects a controllable nonlinearity into the cavity. We derive the system's Hamiltonian and the corresponding quantum Langevin equations, which are linearized around steady-state solutions to analyze Gaussian quantum fluctuations. Employing the covariance matrix formalism, we quantify bipartite entanglement via logarithmic negativity and tripartite entanglement via the minimum residual contangle. Our results unequivocally show that while the Coulomb interaction is indispensable for creating entanglement, the OPA acts as a powerful control tool, dramatically amplifying the degree of quantum correlations for all subsystems. We find that the strength of entanglement is highly sensitive to several parameters and can be optimized through the strategic selection of the OPA's gain and phase, the laser detuning, and the input power. A key finding is the existence of a trade-off, where parameters that maximize entanglement also constrain the stable operating regime of the system. Furthermore, thermal noise is shown to progressively degrade all quantum correlations, underscoring the necessity for low-temperature operation. These findings provide comprehensive guidance for parameter optimization, outlining a clear path from generation to enhancement, and highlight the potential of such hybrid systems as versatile platforms for controlling multipartite entanglement in quantum technologies.

Search for charged Higgs bosons through vector-like top quark pair production at the LHC

We investigate the discovery prospects for a vector-like top partner (VLT) in the Type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM-II) extended by a vector-like quark doublet ($TB$) at the 14~TeV LHC. The study focuses on the pair production process $pp \to T\bar{T} \to bH^+\, \bar{b}H^- \to b(tb)\, \bar{b}(\bar{t}b)$, yielding fully hadronic final states characterized by high $b$-jet multiplicity. Two analysis strategies are employed, requiring at least four or five $b$-tagged jets (4$b$ and 5$b$), to exploit the signal topology. Assuming a charged Higgs mass of $m_{H^\pm} \sim 600$~GeV and a systematic uncertainty of $δ= 5\%$, the 4$b$ channel enables discovery up to $m_T \sim 1200$~GeV at $\mathcal{L} = 300~\text{fb}^{-1}$, while the 5$b$ analysis extends the reach to $m_T \sim 1300$~GeV. At higher luminosities of 1000--3000~fb$^{-1}$, the 5$b$ strategy achieves discovery sensitivity up to $m_T \sim 1400$~GeV. The reach is significantly reduced as $m_{H^\pm}$ increases, due to the suppression of the $\text{BR}(T \to H^+ b)$: for $m_{H^\pm} \sim 1000$~GeV, discovery becomes unattainable across all luminosity and systematic uncertainty configurations. Sensitivity is also strongly impacted by systematic uncertainties: for $δ= 10\%$ and $m_{H^\pm} < 1000$~GeV, discovery remains viable up to $m_T \sim 1200$~GeV in the 5$b$ analysis, while for $δ= 20\%$, no discovery is achievable for $m_T \geq 1000$~GeV.

Anatomy of Vector-Like Top-Quark Models in the Alignment Limit of the 2-Higgs Doublet Model Type-II

A comprehensive extension of the ordinary 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), supplemented by Vector-Like Quarks (VLQs), in the "alignment limit" is presented. In such a scenario, we study the possibility that Large Hadron Collider (LHC) searches for VLQs can profile their nature too, i.e., whether they belong to a singlet, doublet, or triplet representation. To achieve this, we exploit both Standard Model (SM) decays of VLQs with top-(anti)quark Electromagnetic (EM) charge ($T$), i.e., into $b,t$ quarks and $W^\pm, Z,h$ bosons (which turn out to be suppressed and hence $T$ states can escape existing limits) as well as their exotic decays, i.e., into $b,t$ (and possibly $B$) quarks and $H^\pm, H, A$ bosons. We show that quite specific decay patterns emerge in the different VLQ representations so that, depending upon which $T$ signals are accessed at the LHC, one may be able to ascertain the underlying Beyond Standard Model (BSM) structure, especially if mass knowledge of the new fermionic and bosonic sectors can be inferred from (other) data.

Interpreting the $\boldsymbol{W}$-Mass and Muon $\boldsymbol{(g_μ-2)}$ Anomalies within a 2-Higgs Doublet Model

In this study, we investigate the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon $(g_μ-2)$ as reported by Fermilab (FNAL), along with the recent measurement of the $W$-boson mass by the CDF-II collaboration. Both findings show significant deviations from the predictions of the Standard Model (SM), hinting at the possibility of new physics. Our focus is on the Type III two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM), wherein both Higgs doublets couple with all fermions, leading to the induction of flavour-changing neutral currents (FCNCs) at the tree level. Within this framework, we investigate a lepton-flavour-violating (LFV) scenario, aiming to explain both observed anomalies, while satisfying the up-to-date theoretical and experimental constraints.

Search for charged Higgs boson in $μν$ channel within 2HDM type-III

We discus the muonic decay of light charged Higgs boson for $m_{H^\pm}\le m_t-m_b$ in the context of the generic two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) type-III. We show that for both alignment limit scenarios, the $H^\pm\toμν$ signal could be dominant and give alternative reachable signatures to those arising from top quark production and decay.

New charged Higgs boson discovery channel at the LHC

The ATLAS and CMS experiments have an ambitious search program for charged Higgs bosons. The two main searches for $H^\pm$ at the LHC have traditionally been performed in the $τν$ and $t b$ decay channels, as they provide the opportunity to probe complementary regions of the Minimal SuperSymmetric Model (MSSM) parameter space. Charged Higgs bosons may decay also to light quarks, $H^\pm \to cs/cb$, which represent an additional probe for the mass range below $m_t$. In this work, we focus on $H^\pm \to μν$ as an alternative channel in the context of two Higgs doublet model type III. We explored the prospect of looking $pp\to tb H^\pm$, followed by $H^\pm\toμν$ signal at the LHC. Such a scenario appears in 2HDM type-III where couplings of the charged Higgs are enhanced to $μν$. Almost all the experimental searches rely on the production and decay of the charged Higgs are taken into account. We show that for a such scenario, the above signal is dominant for most of the parameter space, and $H^\pm \to μν$ can be an excellent complementary search. Benchmarks points are proposed for further Monte Carlo analysis.

New Light $H^\pm$ Discovery Channels at the LHC

A light charged Higgs boson has been searched for at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) via top (anti)quark decay, i.e., $t \to b H^+$, if kinematically allowed. In this contribution, we propose new channels for light charged Higgs boson searches via the pair productions $pp\to H^\pm h/A$ and $pp\to H^+ H^-$ at the LHC in the context of the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I. By focusing on a case where the heavy H state is the Standard Model (SM)-like one already observed, we investigate the production of the aforementioned charged Higgs bosons and their bosonic decay channels, namely, $H^\pm \to W^\pm h$ and/or $H^\pm \to W^\pm A$. We demonstrate that such production and decay channels can yield substantial alternative discovery channels for $H^\pm$ bosons at the LHC. Finally, we propose eight benchmark points (BPs) to motivate the search for such signatures.

Naturalness Implications within the Two-Real-Scalar-Singlet beyond the SM

The aim of this study is to investigate the quadratic divergences using dimensional regularization within the context of the standard model extended by two real scalar singlets (TRSM). This extension provides three neutral scalar fields that mix, after developing its {\it vev}'s, leading to three CP-even Higgs bosons, namely: $h_1$, $h_2$ and $h_3$, which would offer a wide phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) as reported recently. Furthermore, to fulfill the Veltman conditions for those three fields, we dwell on the one-loop level ($d_L=2$) of dimensional regularization calculations, assuming $R_ξ$ Feynman-'t Hooft gauge-invariant generalization. We show that the divergence cancelation could take place in the framework of the TRSM, and thereby predicts a stringent constraint on the space parameters as well as the new physics (NP) scale, and yet remain consistent with current experimental measurements at 13 TeV.

Facial Surface Analysis using Iso-Geodesic Curves in Three Dimensional Face Recognition System

In this paper, we present an automatic 3D face recognition system. This system is based on the representation of human faces surfaces as collections of Iso-Geodesic Curves (IGC) using 3D Fast Marching algorithm. To compare two facial surfaces, we compute a geodesic distance between a pair of facial curves using a Riemannian geometry. In the classifying step, we use: Neural Networks (NN), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Support Vector Machines (SVM). To test this method and evaluate its performance, a simulation series of experiments were performed on 3D Shape REtrieval Contest 2008 database (SHREC2008).
