Interplay Between Quantum Coherence and Multiparameter Quantum Estimation in Graphene

In this work, we investigate the relationship between quantum coherence and multiparameter quantum estimation in a graphene-based system. We focus on the estimation of two relevant physical parameters, namely the temperature $T$ and the wave vector $k_x$, and analyze how their variations affect both quantum coherence and the achievable metrological precision. The minimum variances associated with the estimation process are evaluated through the quantum Cram\'er--Rao bound within both simultaneous and independent estimation schemes. Our results show that quantum coherence is enhanced in the low-temperature regime and around $k_x=0$, while it decreases progressively as either the temperature or the wave vector increases. However, the regions where coherence is maximal do not necessarily coincide with those of optimal estimation precision. In particular, the variance associated with temperature estimation exhibits a divergent behavior near $T=0$, indicating that the system becomes weakly sensitive to small temperature variations in this regime. By contrast, the estimation of the wave vector $k_x$ is more directly related to the coherence properties of the system, with improved precision obtained near $k_x=0$. Furthermore, we introduce the ratio $\Gamma$ to compare the total variances obtained from the independent and simultaneous estimation schemes. This quantity provides a useful measure of the relative difference between the two strategies when the parameters are estimated separately or jointly.

Thermal quantum coherence of two-qutrit Heisenberg XXZ model with Herring-Flicker coupling and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction under magnetic field

In this study, we use the concept of $l_1$-norm coherence to characterize the entanglement of a two--qutrit Heisenberg XXZ model for subject to a uniform magnetic field and z--axis Dzyaloshinskii--Moriya interaction with Herring-Flicker coupling. We show the temperature, magnetic field, DM interaction, and distance of Herring-Flicker coupling all can control the entanglement. However, the state system becomes less entangled at high temperatures or strong magnetic fields and vice versa. Our findings also suggest that entanglement rises when the z--axis DM interaction increases. Moreover, by setting the strengths coupling of the spin, we quickly recover the isotropic XY and XXX Heisenberg models. Finally, Herring-Flicker coupling affects the degree of entanglement. In fact, when Herring-Flicker coupling and temperature are at small values, the degree of entanglement is at its highest. Still, when Herring-Flicker coupling is at substantial values, the degree of entanglement tends to stabilize.

Local quantum uncertainty of a two-qubit XY Heisenberg model with different Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya couplings

This study investigates the local quantum uncertainty (LQU) of a two--qubit Heisenberg XY chain with different directions of Dzyaloshinskii--Moriya (DM) interactions. The DM interaction parameters and coupling coefficient $J$ are demonstrated to be beneficial in managing correlation. The DM interaction's x--axis parameter has more influence on correlation than the DM interaction's z--axis. As a result, adjusting the direction of the DM interaction may be capable of producing a more efficient operation to improve the correlation.
