Inverted Oscillator

The inverted harmonic oscillator problem is investigated quantum mechanically. The exact wave function for the confined inverted oscillator is obtained and it is shown that the associated energy eigenvalues are discrete and it is given as a linear function of the quantum number $n$.

Feshbach Resonance and Growth of a Bose-Einstein Condensate

Gross-Pitaevskii equation with gain is used to model Bose Einstein condensation (BEC) fed by the surrounding thermal cloud. It is shown that the number of atoms continuously injected into BEC from the reservoir can be controlled by applying the external magnetic field via Feshbach resonance.

Trapped Particles in $PT$ Symmetric Theories

$PT$ symmetric quantum mechanics for a particle trapped by the generalized non-Hermitian harmonic oscillator potential is studied. It is shown that energy and the expectation value of the position operator $x$ can not be real simultaneously, if the particle is trapped. Non-vanishing boundary conditions for the trapped particle in $PT$ symmetric theory are also discussed.

Planck Distribution in Noncommutative Space

In this study, we derive the Planck distribution function in noncommutative space. It is found that it is modified by a small factor. It is shown that it is reduced to the usual Planck distribution function in the commutative limit .

T--odd correlations in (B -> K* l^+ l^-) decay beyond standard model

T--odd correlations as physical observables in the $B \rar K^\ast \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay have been studied using the most general form of the effective Hamiltonian. It is observed that these quantities are very sensitive to the new physics. We estimate the potential of discovery of these quantities at future hadron colliders.

T violation in (Lambda_b -> Lambda l^+ l^-) decay beyond standard model

Using the most general, model independent form of effective Hamiltonian, the transverse polarization P_T of Lambda in Lambda_b -> Lambda l^+ l^- decay is studied. It is observed that the averaged is very sensitive to the existence of new physics and can attain large values, which can be measured at future colliders.
