A General Approach for the Exact Solution of the Schrodinger Equation

The Schrödinger equation is solved exactly for some well known potentials. Solutions are obtained reducing the Schrödinger equation into a second order differential equation by using an appropriate coordinate transformation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions.

Schrödinger Equation with a Non-Central Potential: Some Statistical Quantities

In this paper, we search the dependence of some statistical quantities such as the free energy, the mean energy, the entropy, and the specific heat for the Schrödinger equation on the temperature, particularly the case of a non-central potential. The basic point is to find the partition function which is obtained by a method based on the Euler-Maclaurin formula. At first, we present the analytical results by supporting with some plots for the thermal functions for one- and three-dimensional cases to find out the effect of the angular momentum. We also search then the effect of the angle-dependent part of the non-central potential. We discuss the results briefly for a phase transition for the system. We also present our results for three-dimesional harmonic oscillator.

Thermodynamics Quantities for the Klein-Gordon Equation with a Linear plus Inverse-linear Potential: Biconfluent Heun functions

We study some thermodynamics quantities for the Klein-Gordon equation with a linear plus inverse-linear, scalar potential. We obtain the energy eigenvalues with the help of the quantization rule coming from the biconfluent Heun's equation. We use a method based on the Euler-MacLaurin formula to compute the thermal functions analytically by considering only the contribution of positive part of spectrum to the partition function.

Klein-Gordon and Dirac Equations with Thermodynamic Quantities

We study the thermodynamic quantities such as the Helmholtz free energy, the mean energy and the specific heat for both the Klein-Gordon, and Dirac equations. Our analyze includes two main subsections: ($i$) statistical functions for the Klein-Gordon equation with a linear potential having Lorentz vector, and Lorentz scalar parts ($ii$) thermodynamic functions for the Dirac equation with a Lorentz scalar, inverse-linear potential by assuming that the scalar potential field is strong ($A \gg 1$). We restrict ourselves to the case where only the positive part of the spectrum gives a contribution to the sum in partition function. We give the analytical results for high temperatures.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Effective Mass Dirac Equation for the generalized Hulthen Potential with any kappa-Value

The Dirac equation, with position-dependent mass, is solved approximately for the generalized Hulthén potential with any spin-orbit quantum number $κ$. Solutions are obtained by using an appropriate coordinate transformation, reducing the effective mass Dirac equation to a Schrödinger-like differential equation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to obtain energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions. Numerical results are compared with those given in the literature. Analytical results are also obtained for the case of constant mass and the results are in good agreement with the literature.

Effective Mass Dirac-Morse Problem with any kappa-value

The Dirac-Morse problem are investigated within the framework of an approximation to the term proportional to $1/r^2$ in the view of the position-dependent mass formalism. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are obtained by using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method for any $κ$-value. It is also studied the approximate energy eigenvalues, and corresponding wave functions in the case of the constant-mass for pseudospin, and spin cases, respectively.

Approximate Pseudospin and Spin Solutions of the Dirac Equation for a Class of Exponential Potentials

Dirac equation is solved for some exponential potentials, hypergeometric-type potential, generalized Morse potential and Poschl-Teller potential with any spin-orbit quantum number $κ$ in the case of spin and pseudospin symmetry, respectively. We have approximated for non s-waves the centrifugal term by an exponential form. The energy eigenvalue equations, and the corresponding wave functions are obtained by using the generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Pseudospin Symmetric Dirac Equation for Exponential-type Potentials

The solvability of The Dirac equation is studied for the exponential-type potentials with the pseudospin symmetry by using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy eigenvalue equation, and the corresponding Dirac spinors for Morse, Hulthen, and q-deformed Rosen-Morse potentials are obtained within the framework of an approximation to the spin-orbit coupling term, so the solutions are given for any value of the spin-orbit quantum number $κ=0$, or $κ\neq 0$.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation for Hulthen Potential with Position-Dependent Mass

The Klein-Gordon equation is solved approximately for the Hulthén potential for any angular momentum quantum number $\ell$ with the position-dependent mass. Solutions are obtained reducing the Klein-Gordon equation into a Schrödinger-like differential equation by using an appropriate coordinate transformation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get an energy eigenvalue and and the wave functions. It is found that the results in the case of constant mass are in good agreement with the ones obtained in the literature.

A new approach to the exact solutions of the effective mass Schrodinger equation

Effective mass Schrodinger equation is solved exactly for a given potential. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions. A free parameter is used in the transformation of the wave function. The effective mass Schrodinger equation is also solved for the Morse potential transforming to the constant mass Schrödinger equation for a potential. One can also get solution of the effective mass Schrodinger equation starting from the constant mass Schrodinger equation.

Exact Solutions of the Schrödinger Equation with position-dependent effective mass via general point canonical transformation

Exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation are obtained for the Rosen-Morse and Scarf potentials with the position-dependent effective mass by appliying a general point canonical transformation. The general form of the point canonical transformation is introduced by using a free parameter. Two different forms of mass distributions are used. A set of the energy eigenvalues of the bound states and corresponding wave functions for target potentials are obtained as a function of the free parameter.

Non-extensive study of Rigid and Non-rigid Rotators

The isotropic rigid and non-rigid rotators in the framework of Tsallis statistics are studied in the high and low temperature limits. The generalized partition functions, internal energies and heat capacities are calculated. It has been found that results are in well agreement with the classical Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics in the limiting Tsallis index. It has also been observed that nonextensivity parameter q behaves like a scale parameter in the low temperature regime.
