Quantum Schubert calculus for smooth Schubert divisors of $F\ell_n$

We propose to study the quantum Schubert calculus for Schubert varieties, and investigate the smooth Schubert divisors X of the complete flag variety Fl_n. We provide a Borel-type ring presentation of the quantum cohomology of X. We derive the quantum Chevalley formula for X by geometric arguments. We also show that the quantum Schubert polynomials for X are the same as that for Fl_n introduced by Fomin, Gelfand and Postnikov.

Gamma conjecture II via global Gamma-I

For a Fano manifold $X$, Gamma conjecture II aims to use $\mathcal{D}_{\rm{coh}}^b(X)$ to describe the asymptotic behavior of its Dubrovin connection via $\widehatΓ$-integral structure. It was proposed by Galkin, Golyshev and Iritani, and can be regarded as a quantitative refinement of Dubrovin's conjecture on Fano manifolds with semisimple big quantum cohomology. As a step toward Gamma conjecture II, we define the Gamma-I property at points satisfying the (SR) condition, arising from the original Gamma conjecture I. We prove that the property holds globally in the following sense: if it holds at one such point, then it holds throughout the connected component of the (SR)-region containing that point. Based on this global Gamma-I property, we establish a strategy-type theorem relating Gamma conjecture II to the Gamma-I property at a possibly non-semisimple point, together with an analysis of small quantum cohomology. We further apply this theorem to prove Gamma conjecture II for del Pezzo surfaces; the proof combines Iritani's Galois action with addtional elementary operations on exceptional collections, and its most technically involved step consists in verifying the required global Gamma-I property.

A-D-E diagrams, Hodge--Tate hyperplane sections and semisimple quantum cohomology

It is known that the semisimplicity of quantum cohomology implies the vanishing of off-diagonal Hodge numbers (Hodge--Tateness). We investigate which hyperplane sections of homogeneous varieties possess either of the two properties. We provide a new efficient criterion for non-semisimplicity of the small quantum cohomology ring of Fano manifolds that depends only on the Fano index and Betti numbers. We construct a bijection between Dynkin diagrams of types A, D or E, and complex Grassmannians with Hodge-Tate smooth hyperplane sections. By applying our criteria and using monodromy action, we completely characterize the semisimplicity of the small quantum cohomology of smooth hyperplane sections in the case of complex Grassmannians, and verify a conjecture of Benedetti and Perrin in the case of (co)adjoint Grassmannians.

Towards small quantum Chern character

We show a quantum version of Chern character homomorphism from the small quantum K-theory to the small quantum cohomology in the cases of projective spaces and incidence varieties, whose classical limit gives the classical Chern character homomorphism. We also provide a ring presentation of the small quantum K-theory of Milnor hypersurfaces.

Toward quantum Pieri rule for $F\ell_n$ via Seidel representation

By using a ``quantum-to-classical" reduction formula on the Gromov-Witten invariants of flag vaireities $F\ell_n$, we provide a new proof of the Seidel operator on the quantum cohomology ring $QH^*(F\ell_n)$. Further, we reprove a quantum Pieri rule with respect to certain special Schubert class for $QH^*(F\ell_n)$. Finally, we propose a concrete conjecture on the corresponding quantum Pieri rule for the quantum $K$-theory of $F\ell_n$.

An anticanonical perspective on G/P Schubert varieties

We describe a natural basis of the Cartier class group of an arbitrary Schubert variety $X_{w,P}$ in a flag variety $G/P$ of general Lie type. We then characterise when the Schubert variety is factorial/Fano, along with an explicit formula for the anticanonical line bundle in these cases. We also prove that, for Schubert varieties in simply-laced types (only), being factorial is equivalent to being $Q$-factorial, and is equivalent to the equality of the Betti numbers $b_2(X_{w,P})=b_{2\ell(w)-2}(X_{w,P})$. Finally, we give a convenient characterisation of when a simply-laced Schubert variety is Gorenstein and when it is Gorenstein Fano.

Unfolding of equivariant F-bundles and application to the mirror symmetry of flag varieties

We establish an unfolding theorem for equivariant F-bundles (a variant of Frobenius manifolds), generalizing Hertling-Manin's universal unfolding of meromorphic connections. As an application, we obtain the mirror symmetry theorem for the big quantum cohomology of flag varieties, from the recent works on the small quantum cohomology mirror symmetry, via the equivariant unfolding theorem.

Mirror symmetry for certain blowups of Grassmannians

We classify when the blowup of a complex Grassmannian $G(k, n)$ along a smooth Schubert subvariety $Z$ is Fano. We compute almost all the two-point, genus zero Gromov-Witten invariants of the blowup when $Z=G(k, n-1)$. We further prove a mirror symmetry statement for the blowup $X_{2, n}$ of $G(2, n)$ along $G(2, n-1)$, by introducing a toric superpotential $f_{\rm tor}$ and showing the isomorphism between the Jacobi ring of $f_{\rm tor}$ and the small quantum cohomology ring $QH^*(X_{2, n})$.

Revisiting Gamma conjecture I: counterexamples and modifications

We continue investigation of asymptotics of quantum differential equation for Fano manifolds, with a special regard to Gamma conjecture I and its underlying Conjecture $\mathcal{O}$. We introduce the A-model conifold value, a symplectic invariant of a Fano manifold, and propose modifications for Gamma conjecture I based on this new definition. We discuss an interplay of birational transformations with an extension of Gamma conjecture I over the Kähler moduli space. These heuristics are applied to rigorously identify the principal asymptotic class in the case of $\mathbb{P}^1$-bundles $X_n=\mathbb{P}_{\mathbb{P}^{n}}(\mathcal{O}\oplus\mathcal{O}(n))$. We observe, in particular, that for $X_n$ of dimension at least four, the Conjecture $\mathcal{O}$ holds just for even values of $n$, and in these cases we falsify the original non-modified Gamma conjecture I.

On Seidel representation in quantum K-theory of Grassmannians

We provide a direct proof of Seidel representation in the quantum K-theory QK(Gr(k, n)) by studying projected Gromov-Witten varieties concretely. As applications, we give an alternative proof of the K-theoretic quantum Pieri rule by Buch and Mihalcea, reduce certain quantum Schubert structure constants of higher degree to classical Littlewood-Richardson coefficients for K(Gr(k, n)), and provide a quantum Littlewood-Richardson rule for QK(Gr(3, n)).

On Galkin's Lower Bound Conjecture

We estimate an upper bound of the spectral radius of a linear operator on the quantum cohomology of the toric Fano manifolds $\mathbb{P}_{\mathbb{P}^{n}}(\mathcal{O}\oplus\mathcal{O}(3))$. This provides a negative answer to Galkin's lower bound conjecture.

A Plücker coordinate mirror for partial flag varieties and quantum Schubert calculus

We construct a Plücker coordinate superpotential $\mathcal{F}_-$ that is mirror to a partial flag variety $\mathbb{ F}\ell(n_\bullet)$. Its Jacobi ring recovers the small quantum cohomology of $\mathbb{ F}\ell(n_\bullet)$ and we prove a folklore conjecture in mirror symmetry. Namely, we show that the eigenvalues for the action of the first Chern class $c_1(\mathbb{ F}\ell(n_\bullet))$ on quantum cohomology are equal to the critical values of $\mathcal{F}_-$. We achieve this by proving new identities in quantum Schubert calculus that are inspired by our formula for $\mathcal{F}_-$ and the mirror symmetry conjecture.

Effective good divisibility of rational homogeneous varieties

We compute the effective good divisibility of a rational homogeneous variety, extending an earlier result for complex Grassmannians by Naldi and Occhetta. Non-existence of nonconstant morphisms to rational homogeneous varieties of classical Lie type are obtained as applications.

Automorphisms of the Quantum Cohomology of the Springer Resolution and Applications

In this paper, we introduce quantum Demazure--Lusztig operators acting by ring automorphisms on the equivariant quantum cohomology of the Springer resolution. Our main application is a presentation of the torus-equivariant quantum cohomology in terms of generators and relations. We provide explicit descriptions for the classical types. We also recover Kim's earlier results for the complete flag varieties by taking the Toda limit.

On Frobenius-Perron Dimension

We propose a notion of Frobenius-Perron dimension for certain free $\mathbb{Z}$-modules of infinite rank and compute it for the $\mathbb{Z}$-modules of finite dimensional complex representations of unitary groups with nonnegative dominant weights. We also provide a lower bound for the Frobenius-Perron dimension of Schubert classes in the quantum cohomology of complex Grassmannians.

W-translated Schubert divisors and transversal intersections

We study the toric degeneration of Weyl group translated Schubert divisors of a partial flag variety of Lie type A via Gelfand-Cetlin polytopes. We propose a conjecture that Schubert varieties of appropriate dimensions intersect transversally up to translation by Weyl group elements, and verify it in various cases, including complex Grassmannian Gr(2, n) and complete flag variety Fl_4.

On the fundamental group of open Richardson varieties

We compute the fundamental group of an open Richardson variety in the manifold of complete flags that corresponds to a partial flag manifold. Rietsch showed that these log Calabi-Yau varieties underlie a Landau-Ginzburg mirror for the Langlands dual partial flag manifold, and our computation verifies a prediction of Hori for this mirror. It is log Calabi-Yau as it isomorphic to the complement of the Knutson-Lam-Speyer anti-canonical divisor for the partial flag manifold. We also determine explicit defining equations for this divisor.
