FinSAgent: Corpus-Aligned Multi-Agent RAG Framework for Evidence-Grounded SEC Filing Question Answering

Financial question answering over U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings requires retrieving and synthesizing heterogeneous evidence dispersed across long, standardized, and highly redundant disclosures. Existing retrieval-augmented and multi-agent systems typically derive retrieval queries directly from the user's question and rank candidates by semantic similarity. Together, these choices create prior-corpus misalignment: a mismatch between model priors and the target filings' structure, terminology, and evidence standards. As a result, query generation misses corpus-specific evidence, while semantic reranking favors topically similar but evidentially invalid false-positive chunks. We propose FinSAgent, an evidence-grounded multi-agent framework that reframes SEC filing QA as corpus-aligned retrieval planning and corrects both ends with a single principle: inject corpus-side conditioning wherever model priors would otherwise dominate. FinSAgent combines (1) role-specialized agents anchored to the mandated 10-K item structure, (2) database-aware query decomposition that conditions each agent's sub-queries on a lightweight, summary-level view of the local corpus, and (3) multi-path retrieval with a learned feature-gated reranker that separates evidential validity from semantic similarity. Across five offline financial QA benchmarks, FinSAgent improves retrieval coverage and answer correctness over strong single-agent and multi-agent baselines; in a three-arm randomized online experiment with 1,000 anonymous user ratings, it also receives higher scores than baselines.

High-order multi-structures-preserving exponential integrators for the derivative nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation

This paper presents a novel class of high-order mass-, energy- and momentum-preserving exponential integrators for solving the derivative nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation. Firstly, we reformulate the original system into an exponential supplementary variable system based on the idea of the exponential supplementary variable approach, and then the reformulated system is discretized by using the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space and the high-order prediction and correction Lawson Runge-Kutta method in time, respectively. The proposed method is highly efficient, temporally high-order accurate, and simultaneously preserves the mass, energy and momentum in the discrete setting. Finally, numerical experiments validate the accuracy and energy-preserving properties.

VeritasFi: An Adaptable, Multi-tiered RAG Framework for Multi-modal Financial Question Answering

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is becoming increasingly essential for Question Answering (QA) in the financial sector, where accurate and contextually grounded insights from complex public disclosures are crucial. However, existing financial RAG systems face two significant challenges: (1) they struggle to process heterogeneous data formats, such as text, tables, and figures; and (2) they encounter difficulties in balancing general-domain applicability with company-specific adaptation. To overcome these challenges, we present VeritasFi, an innovative hybrid RAG framework that incorporates a multi-modal preprocessing pipeline alongside a cutting-edge two-stage training strategy for its re-ranking component. VeritasFi enhances financial QA through three key innovations: (1) A multi-modal preprocessing pipeline that seamlessly transforms heterogeneous data into a coherent, machine-readable format. (2) A tripartite hybrid retrieval engine that operates in parallel, combining deep multi-path retrieval over a semantically indexed document corpus, real-time data acquisition through tool utilization, and an expert-curated memory bank for high-frequency questions, ensuring comprehensive scope, accuracy, and efficiency. (3) A two-stage training strategy for the document re-ranker, which initially constructs a general, domain-specific model using anonymized data, followed by rapid fine-tuning on company-specific data for targeted applications. By integrating our proposed designs, VeritasFi presents a groundbreaking framework that greatly enhances the adaptability and robustness of financial RAG systems, providing a scalable solution for both general-domain and company-specific QA tasks. High-order structure-preserving schemes for the regularized logarithmic Schrödinger equation

In this paper, a novel high-order, mass and energy-conserving scheme is proposed for the regularized logarithmic Schrödinger equation(RLogSE). Based on the idea of the supplementary variable method (SVM), we firstly reformulate the original system into an equivalent form by introducing two supplementary variables, and the resulting SVM reformulation is then discretized by applying a high-order prediction-correction scheme in time and a Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space, respectively. The newly developed scheme can produce numerical solutions along which the mass and original energy are precisely conserved, as is the case with the analytical solution. Additionally, it is extremely efficient in the sense that only requires solving a constant-coefficient linear systems plus two algebraic equations, which can be efficiently solved by the Newton iteration at every time step. Numerical experiments are presented to confirm the accuracy and structure-preserving properties of the new scheme.

Arbitrary high-order structure-preserving methods for the quantum Zakharov system

In this paper, we present a new methodology to develop arbitrary high-order structure-preserving methods for solving the quantum Zakharov system. The key ingredients of our method are: (i) the original Hamiltonian energy is reformulated into a quadratic form by introducing a new quadratic auxiliary variable; (ii) based on the energy variational principle, the original system is then rewritten into a new equivalent system which inherits the mass conservation law and a quadratic energy; (iii) the resulting system is discretized by symplectic Runge-Kutta method in time combining with the Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space. The proposed method achieves arbitrary high-order accurate in time and can preserve the discrete mass and original Hamiltonian energy exactly. Moreover, an efficient iterative solver is presented to solve the resulting discrete nonlinear equations. Finally, ample numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the theoretical claims and illustrate the efficiency of our methods.

Arbitrary high-order structure-preserving schemes for the generalized Rosenau-type equation

In this paper, we are concerned with arbitrarily high-order momentum-preserving and energy-preserving schemes for solving the generalized Rosenau-type equation, respectively. The derivation of the momentum-preserving schemes is made within the symplectic Runge-Kutta method, coupled with the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space. Then, combined with the quadratic auxiliary variable approach and the symplectic Runge-Kutta method, together with the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method, we present a class of high-order mass- and energy-preserving schemes for the Rosenau equation. Finally, extensive numerical tests and comparisons are also addressed to illustrate the performance of the proposed schemes.

Arbitrarily high-order energy-preserving schemes for the Zakharov-Rubenchik equation

In this paper, we present a novel class of high-order energy-preserving schemes for solving the Zakharov-Rubenchik equations. The main idea of the scheme is first to introduce an quadratic auxiliary variable to transform the Hamiltonian energy into a modified quadratic energy and the original system is then reformulated into an equivalent system which satisfies the mass, modified energy as well as two linear invariants. The symplectic Runge-Kutta method in time, together with the Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space is employed to compute the solution of the reformulated system. The main benefit of the proposed schemes is that it can achieve arbitrarily high-order accurate in time and conserve the three invariants: mass, Hamiltonian energy and two linear invariants. In addition, an efficient fixed-point iteration is proposed to solve the resulting nonlinear equations of the proposed schemes. Several experiments are addressed to validate the theoretical results.

Linearly implicit energy-preserving integrating factor methods for the 2D nonlinear Schrödinger equation with wave operator and convergence analysis

In this paper, we develop a novel class of linear energy-preserving integrating factor methods for the 2D nonlinear Schrödinger equation with wave operator (NLSW), combining the scalar auxiliary variable approach and the integrating factor methods. A second-order scheme is first proposed, which is rigorously proved to be energy-preserving. By using the energy methods, we analyze its optimal convergence in the $H^1$ norm without any restrictions on the grid ratio, where a novel technique and an improved induction argument are proposed to overcome the difficulty posed by the unavailability of a priori $L^\infty$ estimates of numerical solutions. Based on the integrating factor Runge-Kutta methods, we extend the proposed scheme to arbitrarily high order, which is also linear and conservative. Numerical experiments are presented to confirm the theoretical analysis and demonstrate the advantages of the proposed methods.

High-order linearly implicit structure-preserving exponential integrators for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation

A novel class of high-order linearly implicit energy-preserving integrating factor Runge-Kutta methods are proposed for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Based on the idea of the scalar auxiliary variable approach, the original equation is first reformulated into an equivalent form which satisfies a quadratic energy. The spatial derivatives of the system are then approximated with the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method. Subsequently, we apply the extrapolation technique/prediction-correction strategy to the nonlinear terms of the semi-discretized system and a linearized energy-conserving system is obtained. A fully discrete scheme is gained by further using the integrating factor Runge-Kutta method to the resulting system. We show that, under certain circumstances for the coefficients of a Runge-Kutta method, the proposed scheme can produce numerical solutions along which the modified energy is precisely conserved, as is the case with the analytical solution and is extremely efficient in the sense that only linear equations with constant coefficients need to be solved at every time step. Numerical results are addressed to demonstrate the remarkable superiority of the proposed schemes in comparison with other existing structure-preserving schemes.

Arbitrary high-order linear structure-preserving schemes for the regularized long-wave equation

In this paper, a class of arbitrarily high-order linear momentum-preserving and energy-preserving schemes are proposed, respectively, for solving the regularized long-wave equation. For the momentum-preserving scheme, the key idea is based on the extrapolation/prediction-correction technique and the symplectic Runge-Kutta method in time, together with the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space. We show that the scheme is linear, high-order, unconditionally stable and preserves the discrete momentum of the system. For the energy-preserving scheme, it is mainly based on the energy quadratization approach and the analogous linearized strategy used in the construction of the linear momentum-preserving scheme. The proposed scheme is linear, high-order and can preserve a discrete quadratic energy exactly. Numerical results are addressed to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed scheme.

Mass- and energy-preserving exponential Runge-Kutta methods for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation

In this paper, a family of arbitrarily high-order structure-preserving exponential Runge-Kutta methods are developed for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation by combining the scalar auxiliary variable approach with the exponential Runge-Kutta method. By introducing an auxiliary variable, we first transform the original model into an equivalent system which admits both mass and modified energy conservation laws. Then applying the Lawson method and the symplectic Runge-Kutta method in time, we derive a class of mass- and energy-preserving time-discrete schemes which are arbitrarily high-order in time. Numerical experiments are addressed to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the newly proposed schemes.

Explicit high-order energy-preserving methods for general Hamiltonian partial differential equations

A novel class of explicit high-order energy-preserving methods are proposed for general Hamiltonian partial differential equations with non-canonical structure matrix. When the energy is not quadratic, it is firstly done that the original system is reformulated into an equivalent form with a modified quadratic energy conservation law by the energy quadratization approach. Then the resulting system that satisfies the quadratic energy conservation law is discretized in time by combining explicit high-order Runge-Kutta methods with orthogonal projection techniques. The proposed schemes are shown to share the order of explicit Runge-Kutta method and thus can reach the desired high-order accuracy. Moreover, the methods are energy-preserving and explicit because the projection step can be solved explicitly. Numerical results are addressed to demonstrate the remarkable superiority of the proposed schemes in comparison with other structure-preserving methods.

Arbitrarily high-order structure-preserving schemes for the Gross-Pitaevskii equation with angular momentum rotation in three dimensions

In this paper, we design a novel class of arbitrarily high-order structure-preserving numerical schemes for the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii equation with angular momentum rotation in three dimensions. Based on the idea of the scalar auxiliary variable approach which is proposed in the recent papers [J. Comput. Phys., 416 (2018) 353-407 and SIAM Rev., 61(2019) 474-506] for developing energy stable schemes for gradient flow systems, we firstly reformulate the Gross-Pitaevskii equation into an equivalent system with a modified energy conservation law. The reformulated system is then discretized by the Gauss collocation method in time and the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method in space, respectively. We show that the proposed schemes can preserve the discrete mass and modified energy exactly. Numerical results are addressed to verify the efficiency and high-order accuracy of the proposed schemes.

A linearized and conservative Fourier pseudo-spectral method for the damped nonlinear Schrödinger equation in three dimensions

In this paper, we propose a linearized Fourier pseudo-spectral method, which preserves the total mass and energy conservation laws, for the damped nonlinear Schrödinger equation in three dimensions. With the aid of the semi-norm equivalence between the Fourier pseudo-spectral method and the finite difference method, an optimal $L^2$-error estimate for the proposed method without any restriction on the grid ratio is established by analyzing the real and imaginary parts of the error function. Numerical results are addressed to confirm our theoretical analysis.

A linearly implicit structure-preserving scheme for the Camassa-Holm equation based on multiple scalar auxiliary variables approach

In this paper, we present a linearly implicit energy-preserving scheme for the Camassa-Holm equation by using the multiple scalar auxiliary variables approach, which is first developed to construct efficient and robust energy stable schemes for gradient systems. The Camassa-Holm equation is first reformulated into an equivalent system by utilizing the multiple scalar auxiliary variables approach, which inherits a modified energy. Then, the system is discretized in space aided by the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method and a semi-discrete system is obtained, which is proven to preserve a semi-discrete modified energy. Subsequently, the linearized Crank-Nicolson method is applied for the resulting semi-discrete system to arrive at a fully discrete scheme. The main feature of the new scheme is to form a linear system with a constant coefficient matrix at each time step and produce numerical solutions along which the modified energy is precisely conserved, as is the case with the analytical solution. Several numerical results are addressed to confirm accuracy and efficiency of the proposed scheme.

A linearly implicit energy-preserving exponential integrator for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation

In this paper, we generalize the exponential energy-preserving integrator proposed in the recent paper [SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 38(2016) A1876-A1895] for conservative systems, which now becomes linearly implicit by further utilizing the idea of the scalar auxiliary variable approach. Comparing with the original exponential energy-preserving integrator which usually leads to a nonlinear algebraic system, our new method only involve a linear system with constant coefficient matrix. Taking the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation for example, we derive the concrete energy-preserving scheme and demonstrate its high efficiency through numerical experiments.

Arbitrarily high-order energy-preserving schemes for the Camassa-Holm equation

In this paper, we develop a novel class of arbitrarily high-order energy-preserving schemes for the Camassa-Holm equation. With the aid of the invariant energy quadratization approach, the Camassa-Holm equation is first reformulated into an equivalent system, which inherits a quadratic energy. {The new system is then discretized} by the standard Fourier pseudo-spectral method, which can exactly preserve the semi-discrete energy conservation law. Subsequently, { a symplectic Runge-Kutta method such as the Gauss collocation method is applied} for the resulting semi-discrete system to arrive at an arbitrarily high-order fully discrete scheme. {We prove that the obtained schemes can conserve the discrete energy conservation law}. Numerical results are addressed to confirm accuracy and efficiency of the proposed schemes.

Optimal error estimate of a conservative Fourier pseudo-spectral method for the space fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation

In this paper, we consider the error analysis of a conservative Fourier pseudo-spectral method that conserves mass and energy for the space fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation. We give a new fractional Sobolev norm that can construct the discrete fractional Sobolev space, and we also can prove some important lemmas for the new fractional Sobolev norm. Based on these lemmas and energy method, a priori error estimate for the method can be established. Then, we are able to prove that the Fourier pseudo-spectral method is unconditionally convergent with order $O(τ^{2}+N^{α/2-r})$ in the discrete $L^{\infty}$ norm, where $τ$ is the time step and $N$ is the number of collocation points used in the spectral method. Numerical examples are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.
