Classification of informative subsets in quantum encrypted cloning on qudits

Encrypted cloning offers a means of introducing redundancy into quantum storage while respecting the no-cloning theorem: an unknown state is encoded into multiple signal-noise pairs, and only authorized subsets can recover the original information. However, the leakage properties of unauthorized subsets particularly for higher-dimensional systems (qudits) have remained unexplored. In this work, we systematically classify the informative subsets of the storage register in the qudit encrypted-cloning protocol. We focus on unauthorized subsets of size $n$ that contain exactly one qudit from each signal-noise pair. We show that the presence or absence of information leakage is determined by the solution set of a system of congruences whose coefficients depend on the dimension $d$ and on the numbers of signal and noise qudits in the subset. The reduced state is completely uninformative if and only if the congruence system admits only the trivial solution; otherwise, it retains a residual dependence on the input state through specific generalized Pauli operators. Low-dimensional examples ($n=1,2,3$) are worked out explicitly, and the complete classification is expressed in terms of a greatest-common-divisor condition. Our results extend the parity-based classification known for qubits ($d=2$) to arbitrary finite dimensions, revealing a dimension-dependent boundary of confidentiality in encrypted cloning.

Two-parameter bipartite entanglement measure

Entanglement concurrence is an important bipartite entanglement measure that has found wide applications in quantum technologies. In this work, inspired by unified entropy, we introduce a two-parameter family of entanglement measures, referred to as the unified $(q,s)$-concurrence. Both the standard entanglement concurrence and the recently proposed $q$-concurrence emerge as special cases within this family. By combining the positive partial transposition and realignment criteria, we derive an analytical lower bound for this measure for arbitrary bipartite mixed states, revealing a connection to strong separability criteria. Explicit expressions are obtained for the unified $(q,s)$-concurrence in the cases of isotropic and Werner states under the constraint $q>1$ and $qs\geq 1$. Furthermore, we explore the monogamy properties of the unified $(q,s)$-concurrence for $q\geq 2$, $0\leq s\leq 1$ and $1\leq qs\leq 3$, in qubit systems. In addition, we derive an entanglement polygon inequality for the unified $(q,s)$-concurrence with $q\geq 1$ and $qs\geq 1$, which manifests the relationship among all the marginal entanglements in any multipartite qudit system.

Multipartite entanglement measures based on the thermodynamic framework

In this work, we introduce a unified method to characterize and measure multipartite entanglement using the framework of thermodynamics. A family of the new entanglement measures is proposed: \textit{ergotropic-gap concentratable entanglement}. Furthermore, we establish that ergotropic-gap concentratable entanglement constitutes a well-defined entanglement measure within a specific parameter regime, satisfying key properties including continuity, majorization monotonicity and monogamy. We demonstrate the utility of this measure by showing it effectively distinguishes between multi-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states and W states. It also proves effective in detecting entanglement in specific classes of four-partite star quantum network states.

Family of two-parameter multipartite entanglement measures

Multipartite entanglement is regarded as a crucial physical resource in quantum network communication. However, due to the intrinsic complexity of quantum many-body systems, identifying a multipartite entanglement measure that is both efficiently computable and capable of accurately characterizing entanglement remains a challenging problem. To address these issues, we propose a family of two-parameter multipartite entanglement measures for mixed states, termed unified-entropy concentratable entanglements. Many well-known multipartite entanglement measures are recovered as special cases of this family of measures, such as the entanglement of formation and the concentratable entanglements introduced in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 127, 140501 (2021)]. We demonstrate that the unified-entropy concentratable entanglements constitutes a well-defined entanglement monotones, and establish several desirable properties it satisfies, such as subadditivity and continuity. We further investigate the ordering relations of unified-entropy concentratable entanglements and discuss how these quantities can be efficiently estimated on near-term quantum devices. As an application, we demonstrate that the unified-entropy concentratable entanglements can effectively distinguish between multi-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states and W states. The ordering relations of these entanglement measures are further validated using four-partite star quantum network states and four-qubit Dicke states. Moreover, we find that the unified-entropy concentratable entanglements exhibit greater sensitivity than the original concentratable entanglements in detecting certain four-partite star quantum network states.

The masking condition for quantum state in two-dimensional Hilbert space

This paper focuses on quantum information masking for quantum state in two-dimensional Hilbert space. We present a system of equations as the condition of quantum information masking. It is shown that quantum information contained in a single qubit state can be masked, if and only if the coefficients of quantum state satisfy the given system of equations. By observing the characteristics of non-orthogonal maskable quantum states, we obtain a related conclusion, namely, if two non-orthogonal two-qubit quantum states can mask a single qubit state, they have the same number of terms and the same basis. Finally, for maskable orthogonal quantum states, we analyze two special examples and give their images for an intuitive description.

An improved bound for strong unitary uncertainty relations with refined sequence

We derive the lower bound of uncertainty relations of two unitary operators for a class of states based on the geometric-arithmetic inequality and Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. Furthermore, we propose a set of uncertainty relations for three unitary operators. Compared to the known bound introduced in Phys.Rev.A.100,022116(2019), the unitary uncertainty relations bound with our method is tighter, to a certain extent. Meanwhile, some examples are given in the paper to illustrate our conclusions.

A secret sharing scheme on p^2 -dimensional quantum system

In this paper, we give the mutually unbiased bases on the p^2 -dimensional quantum system where p is an odd prime number, and construct the corresponding unitary transformation based on the properties of these mutually unbiased bases. Then, we construct a (N,N) threshold secret sharing scheme using unitary transformation between these mutually unbiased bases, and analyze the scheme's security by several ways, for example, intercept-and-resend attack, entangle-and-measure attack, Trojan horse attack, and so on. Using our method, we construct a single-particle quantum protocol involving only one qudit, and the method shows much more scalability than other schemes.

Quantum Access Structure and Secret Sharing

In this paper we define a kind of decomposition for a quantum access structure. We propose a conception of minimal maximal quantum access structure and obtain a sufficient and necessary condition for minimal maximal quantum access structure, which shows the relationship between the number of minimal authorized sets and that of the players. Moreover, we investigate the construction of efficient quantum secret schemes by using these techniques, a decomposition and minimal maximal quantum access structure. A major advantage of these techniques is that it allows us to construct a method to realize a general quantum access structure. For these quantum access structures, we present two quantum secret schemes via the idea of concatenation or a decomposition of a quantum access structure. As a consequence, the application of these techniques allow us to save more quantum shares and reduce more cost than the existing scheme.

A Generalized Information Theoretical Model for Quantum Secret Sharing

An information theoretical model for quantum secret sharing was introduced by A. C. A. Nascimento et al.[Quantum Inf. Comput. Vol.5,1,205,68-79(2003)], which was analyzed by quantum information theory. In this paper, we analyze this information theoretical model using the properties of the quantum access structure. By the analysis we propose a generalized model definition for the quantum secret sharing schemes. In our model, there are more quantum access structures which can be realized by our generalized quantum secret sharing schemes than those of the previous one. In addition, we also analyse two kinds of important quantum access structures to illustrate the existence and rationality of the generalized quantum secret sharing schemes and consider the security of the scheme by simple examples.
