$D$ wave charmonia

Inspired by the recent observations of the vector charmonium-like states at BES III Collaboration and $ψ(3842)$ at LHCb Collaboration, we comb the $D$ wave charmonium state in the present work. We first evaluate the possibility of $Y(4320)$ as $ψ(3^3D_1)$ by investigating its open charm decays in quark-pair creation model and we find the width of $Y(4320)$ can be reproduced in a reasonable parameter range. Moreover, we take $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4160)$ and $Y(4320)$ as the scale of $1D$, $2D$ and $3D$ charmonia to estimate the open charm decays of other $D$ wave charmonia. The total and partial widths of $D$ wave charmonium states have been predicted, which could be tested by further measurements at LHCb and Belle II Collaborations.

Study of Unflavored Light Mesons with $J^{PC}=2^{--}$

The unflavored light meson families, namely $ω_2$, $ρ_2$, and $ϕ_2$, are studied systematically by investigating the spectrum and the two-body strong decays allowed by Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule. Including the four experimentally observed states and other predicted states, phenomenological analysis of the partial decay widths can verify the corresponding assignments of these states into the families. Moreover, we provide typical branching ratios of the dominant decay channels, especially for missing ground states, which is helpful to search for or confirm them and explore more properties of these families at experiment.

Prediction for $5^{++}$ mesons

In this paper, we study the spectrum and decay behavior of $5^{++}$ meson family which is still missing in experiment. By the modified Godfrey-Isgur model with a color screening effect, we obtain the mass spectrum of $a_5$, $f_5$ and $f_5^\prime$ mesons. And we predict their two-body strong decays by means of a phenomenology quark pair creation model. This study is crucial to establish $J^{PC}=5^{++}$ meson family and it is also helpful to search for these states in the future.

A systematic study of mass spectra and strong decay of strange mesons

The mass spectrum of the kaon family is analyzed by the {modified} Godfrey-Isgur model with a color screening effect approximating the kaon as a heavy-light meson system. This analysis gives us the structure and possible assignments of the observed kaon candidates, which can be tested by comparing the theoretical results of their two-body strong decays with the experimental data. Additionally, prediction of some partial decay widths is made on the kaons still missing in experiment. This study is crucial to establishing the kaon family and searching for their higher excitations in the future.

Mass Formula for Light Nonstrange Mesons and Regge Trajectories in Quark Model

We study the Regge-like spectra of light mesons in a relativized quark model. An analytical mass formula is presented for the light unflavored mesons with the help of auxiliary field method, by which a quasi-linear Regge-Chew-Frautschi plot is predicted for the orbitally excited states. We show that the trajectory slope is proportional to the inverse confining parameter $1/a$ up to a factor depending on the strong coupling $α_{s}$ when the orbital quantum number $L$ is large. The result is tested against the experimental data of the spectra of the meson families $π/b$,$ρ/a$,$η/h$ and $ω/f$ in the ($L$,$M^{2}$) planes, with the fitted parameters consistent with that in the literatures.

High-spin mesons below 3 GeV

In this work, we study the high-spin states with masses below 3 GeV observed in experiments and we perform analysis of mass spectrum and investigation of strong decay behaviors of the high-spin states. Comparing our results with the experimental data, we can reveal the underlying properties of these high-spin states; more importantly, we also predict their abundant decay features, which can provide valuable information for experimental exploration of these high-spin states.

Light axial vector mesons

Inspired by the abundant experimental observation of axial-vector states, we study whether the observed axial-vector states can be categorized into the conventional axial-vector meson family. In this paper we carry out an analysis based on the mass spectra and two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-allowed decays. Besides testing the possible axial-vector meson assignments, we also predict abundant information for their decays and the properties of some missing axial-vector mesons, which are valuable for further experimental exploration of the observed and predicted axial-vector mesons.

Pseudotensor meson family

The pseudoscalar tensor states, $π_2$, $η_2$, and $K_2$, are systematically studied through the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka- allowed two-body strong decays, including both the observed states reported by the Particle Data Group and the predicted states. Phenomenological analysis combined with the experimental data not only can test the assignments to these discussed states, but it can also predict more abundant information {on} their partial decay widths, which is helpful in the experimental study of these observed and predicted pseudotensor states.

Phenomenological study of the isovector tensor meson family

In this work, we study all the observed $a_2$ states and group them into the $a_2$ meson family, where their total and partial decay widths are calculated via the quark pair creation model. Taking into account the present experimental data, we further give the corresponding phenomenological analysis, which is valuable to test whether each $a_2$ state can be assigned into the $a_2$ meson family. What is more important is that the prediction of their decay behaviors will be helpful for future experimental study of the $a_2$ states.
