Harness Engineering for LLM-Driven GPU Kernel Generation

Large language models (LLMs) can assist GPU kernel generation, but their practical effectiveness depends on whether generated code can be reliably constrained, validated, profiled, and selected. This paper presents a harness-centered system for LLM-driven GPU kernel optimization in the MLSys 2026 FlashInfer AI Kernel Generation Contest on NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs. The system separates an evaluation harness from a profile-backed optimization controller: the harness enforces compilation, correctness, official-aligned timing, and artifact archival, while the controller turns profiler and workload evidence into bounded candidate-generation decisions. Human-authored skills capture operator constraints, references, profiling procedures, and promotion rules, while Codex and Claude Code agents generate candidate kernels inside those constraints. Across five operator definitions, the retained official-aligned artifacts achieved mean-latency speedups over supplied FlashInfer baselines of 1.62x, 18.05x, 29.68x, 1.12x, and 13.70x. The Agent-Assisted kernels outperform the Full-Agent artifacts across the evaluated definitions, indicating that expert-provided optimization directions, high-quality references, and workload context remain critical for reliable AI-driven kernel optimization.

Integrating Frequency Guidance into Multi-source Domain Generalization for Bearing Fault Diagnosis

Recent generalizable fault diagnosis researches have effectively tackled the distributional shift between unseen working conditions. Most of them mainly focus on learning domain-invariant representation through feature-level methods. However, the increasing numbers of unseen domains may lead to domain-invariant features contain instance-level spurious correlations, which impact the previous models' generalizable ability. To address the limitations, we propose the Fourier-based Augmentation Reconstruction Network, namely FARNet.The methods are motivated by the observation that the Fourier phase component and amplitude component preserve different semantic information of the signals, which can be employed in domain augmentation techniques. The network comprises an amplitude spectrum sub-network and a phase spectrum sub-network, sequentially reducing the discrepancy between the source and target domains. To construct a more robust generalized model, we employ a multi-source domain data augmentation strategy in the frequency domain. Specifically, a Frequency-Spatial Interaction Module (FSIM) is introduced to handle global information and local spatial features, promoting representation learning between the two sub-networks. To refine the decision boundary of our model output compared to conventional triplet loss, we propose a manifold triplet loss to contribute to generalization. Through extensive experiments on the CWRU and SJTU datasets, FARNet demonstrates effective performance and achieves superior results compared to current cross-domain approaches on the benchmarks.

Order-preserving pattern mining with forgetting mechanism

Order-preserving pattern (OPP) mining is a type of sequential pattern mining method in which a group of ranks of time series is used to represent an OPP. This approach can discover frequent trends in time series. Existing OPP mining algorithms consider data points at different time to be equally important; however, newer data usually have a more significant impact, while older data have a weaker impact. We therefore introduce the forgetting mechanism into OPP mining to reduce the importance of older data. This paper explores the mining of OPPs with forgetting mechanism (OPF) and proposes an algorithm called OPF-Miner that can discover frequent OPFs. OPF-Miner performs two tasks, candidate pattern generation and support calculation. In candidate pattern generation, OPF-Miner employs a maximal support priority strategy and a group pattern fusion strategy to avoid redundant pattern fusions. For support calculation, we propose an algorithm called support calculation with forgetting mechanism, which uses prefix and suffix pattern pruning strategies to avoid redundant support calculations. The experiments are conducted on nine datasets and 12 alternative algorithms. The results verify that OPF-Miner is superior to other competitive algorithms. More importantly, OPF-Miner yields good clustering performance for time series, since the forgetting mechanism is employed.

Formal Verification of Unknown Stochastic Systems via Non-parametric Estimation

A novel data-driven method for formal verification is proposed to study complex systems operating in safety-critical domains. The proposed approach is able to formally verify discrete-time stochastic dynamical systems against temporal logic specifications only using observation samples and without the knowledge of the model, and provide a probabilistic guarantee on the satisfaction of the specification. We first propose the theoretical results for using non-parametric estimation to estimate an asymptotic upper bound for the \emph{Lipschitz constant} of the stochastic system, which can determine a finite abstraction of the system. Our results prove that the asymptotic convergence rate of the estimation is $O(n^{-\frac{1}{3+d}})$, where $d$ is the dimension of the system and $n$ is the data scale. We then construct interval Markov decision processes using two different data-driven methods, namely non-parametric estimation and empirical estimation of transition probabilities, to perform formal verification against a given temporal logic specification. Multiple case studies are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
