Ghost symmetry of the discrete KP hierarchy

In this paper, with the help of the $S$ function and ghost symmetry for the discrete KP hierarchy which is a semi-discrete version of the KP hierarchy, the ghost flow on its eigenfunction(adjoint eigenfunction) and the spectral representation of its Baker-Akhiezer function and adjoint Baker-Akhiezer function are derived. From these observations above, some important distinctions between the discrete KP hierarchy and KP hierarchy are shown. Also we give the ghost flow on the tau function and another kind of proof of the ASvM formula of the discrete KP hierarchy.

Supersymmetric BKP systems and their symmetries

In this paper, we construct the additional symmetries of the supersymmetric BKP(SBKP) hierarchy. These additional flows constitute a B type $SW_{1+\infty}$ Lie algebra because of the B type reduction of the supersymmetric BKP hierarchy. Further we generalize the SBKP hierarchy to a supersymmetric two-component BKP (S2BKP) hierarchy equipped with a B type $SW_{1+\infty}\bigoplus SW_{1+\infty}$ Lie algebra. As a Bosonic reduction of the S2BKP hierarchy, we define a new constrained system called the supersymmetric Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy of type D which admits a $N=2$ supersymmetric Block type symmetry.

Sato theory on the $q$-Toda hierarchy and its extension

In this paper, we construct the Sato theory including the Hirota bilinear equations and tau function of a new $q$-deformed Toda hierarchy(QTH). Meanwhile the Block type additional symmetry and bi-Hamiltonian structure of this hierarchy are given. From Hamiltonian tau symmetry, we give another definition of tau function of this hierarchy. Afterwards, we extend the $q$-Toda hierarchy to an extended $q$-Toda hierarchy(EQTH) which satisfy a generalized Hirota quadratic equation in terms of generalized vertex operators. The Hirota quadratic equation might have further application in Gromov-Witten theory. The corresponding Sato theory including multi-fold Darboux transformations of this extended hierarchy is also constructed. At last, we construct the multicomponent extension of the $q$-Toda hierarchy and show the integrability including its bi-Hamiltonian structure, tau symmetry and conserved densities.

On the extended multi-component Toda hierarchy

The extended flow equations of the multi-component Toda hierarchy are constructed. We give the Hirota bilinear equations and tau function of this new extended multi-component Toda hierarchy(EMTH). Because of logarithmic terms, some extended vertex operators are constructed in generalized Hirota bilinear equations which might be useful in topological field theory and Gromov-Witten theory. Meanwhile the Darboux transformation and bi-Hamiltonian structure of this hierarchy are given. From the Hamiltonian tau symmetry, we give another different tau function of this hierarchy with some unknown mysterious connections with the one defined from the point of wave functions.

Quantum Torus symmetry of the KP, KdV and BKP hierarchies

In this paper, we construct the quantum Torus symmetry of the KP hierarchy and further derive the quantum torus constraint on the tau function of the KP hierarchy. That means we give a nice representation of the quantum Torus Lie algebra in the KP system by acting on its tau function. Comparing to the $W_{\infty}$ symmetry, this quantum Torus symmetry has a nice algebraic structure with double indices. Further by reduction, we also construct the quantum Torus symmetries of the KdV and BKP hierarchies and further derive the quantum Torus constraints on their tau functions. These quantum Torus constraints might have applications in the quantum field theory, supersymmetric gauge theory and so on.

Integrability on generalized $q$-Toda equation and hierarchy

In this paper, we construct a new integrable equation which is a generalization of $q$-Toda equation. Meanwhile its soliton solutions are constructed to show its integrable property. Further the Lax pairs of the generalized $q$-Toda equation and a whole integrable generalized $q$-Toda hierarchy are also constructed. To show the integrability, the Bi-hamiltonian structure and tau symmetry of the generalized $q$-Toda hierarchy are given and this leads to the tau function.

Block algebra in two-component BKP and D type Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchies

We construct generalized additional symmetries of a two-component BKP hierarchy defined by two pseudo-differential Lax operators. These additional symmetry flows form a Block type algebra with some modified(or additional) terms because of a B type reduction condition of this integrable hierarchy. Further we show that the D type Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy, which is a reduction of the two-component BKP hierarchy, possess a complete Block type additional symmetry algebra. That D type Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy has a similar algebraic structure as the bigraded Toda hierarchy which is a differential-discrete integrable system.

On Rogue wave in the Kundu-DNLS equation

In this paper, the determinant representation of the n-fold Darboux transformation (DT) of the Kundu-DNLS equation is given. Based on our analysis, the soliton solutions, positon solutions and breather solutions of the Kundu-DNLS equation are given explicitly. Further, we also construct the rogue wave solutions which are given by using the Taylor expansion of the breather solution. Particularly, these rogue wave solutions possess several free parameters. With the help of these parameters, these rogue waves constitute several patterns, such as fundamental pattern, triangular pattern, circular pattern.

Rogue waves of the Hirota and the Maxwell-Bloch equations

In this paper, we derive a Darboux transformation of the Hirota and the Maxwell-Bloch(H-MB) system which is governed by femtosecond pulse propagation through an erbium doped fibre and further generalize it to the matrix form of the $n$-fold Darboux transformation of this system. This $n$-fold Darboux transformation implies the determinant representation of $n$-th new solutions of $(E^{[n]},p^{[n]}, η^{[n]})$ generated from known solution of $(E, p,η)$. The determinant representation of $(E^{[n]},p^{[n]} ,η^{[n]})$ provides soliton solutions, positon solutions, and breather solutions (both bright and dark breathers) of the H-MB system. From the breather solutions, we also construct bright and dark rogue wave solutions for the H-MB system, which is currently one of the hottest topics in mathematics and physics. Surprisingly, the rogue wave solution for $p\, and\, η$ has two peaks because of the order of the numerator and denominator of them. Meanwhile, after fixing time and spatial parameters and changing other two unknown parameters $α$ and $β$, we generate a rogue wave shape for the first time.

Regular solution and lattice miura transformation of bigraded Toda Hierarchy

In this paper, we give finite dimensional exponential solutions of the bigraded Toda Hierarchy(BTH). As an specific example of exponential solutions of the BTH, we consider a regular solution for the $(1,2)$-BTH with $3\times 3$-sized Lax matrix, and discuss some geometric structure of the solution from which the difference between $(1,2)$-BTH and original Toda hierarchy is shown. After this, we construct another kind of Lax representation of $(N,1)$-bigraded Toda hierarchy($(N,1)$-BTH) which does not use the fractional operator of Lax operator. Then we introduce lattice Miura transformation of $(N,1)$-BTH which leads to equations depending on one field, meanwhile we give some specific examples which contains Volterra lattice equation(an useful ecological competition model).

The Recursion operators of the BKP hierarchy and the CKP Hierarchy

In this paper, under the constraints of the BKP(CKP) hierarchy, a crucial observation is that the odd dynamical variable $u_{2k+1}$ can be explicitly expressed by the even dynamical variable $u_{2k}$ in the Lax operator $L$ through a new operator $B$. Using operator $B$, the essential differences between the BKP hierarchy and the CKP hierarchy are given by the flow equations and the recursion operators under the $(2n+1)$-reduction. The formal formulas of the recursion operators for the BKP and CKP hierarchy under $(2n+1)$-reduction are given. To illustrate this method, the two recursion operators are constructed explicitly for the 3-reduction of the BKP and CKP hierarchies. The $t_7$ flows of $u_2$ are generated from $t_1$ flows by the above recursion operators, which are consistent with the corresponding flows generated by the flow equations under 3-reduction.

Dispersionless bigraded Toda Hierarchy and its additional symmetry

In this paper, we firstly give the definition of dipersionless bigraded Toda hierarchy (dBTH) and introduce some Sato theory on dBTH. Then we define Orlov-Schulman's $\M_L$, $\M_R$ operator and give the additional Block symmetry of dBTH. Meanwhile we give tau function of dBTH and some some related dipersionless bilinear equations.

Block type symmetry of bigraded Toda Hierarchy

In this paper, we define Orlov-Schulman's operators $M_L$, $M_R$, and then use them to construct the additional symmetries of the bigraded Toda hierarchy (BTH). We further show that these additional symmetries form an interesting infinite dimensional Lie algebra known as a Block type Lie algebra, whose structure theory and representation theory have recently received much attention in literature. By acting on two different spaces under the weak W-constraints we find in particular two representations of this Block type Lie algebra.

Solutions of bigraded Toda hierarchy

The $(N,M)$-bigraded Toda hierarchy is an extension of the original Toda lattice hierarchy. The pair of numbers $(N,M)$ represents the band structure of the Lax matrix which has $N$ upper and $M$ lower diagonals, and the original one is referred to as the $(1,1)$-bigraded Toda hierarchy. Because of this band structure, one can introduce $M+N-1$ commuting flows which give a parametrization of a small phase space for a topological field theory. In this paper, we first show that there exists a natural symmetry between the $(N,M)$- and $(M,N)$-bigraded Toda hierarchies. We then derive the Hirota bilinear form for those commuting flows, which consists of two-dimensional Toda hierarchy, the discrete KP hierarchy and its Bäcklund transformations. We also discuss the solution structure of the $(N,M)$-bigraded Toda equation in terms of the moment matrix defined via the wave operators associated with the Lax operator, and construct some of the explicit solutions. In particular, we give the rational solutions which are expressed by the products of the Schur polynomials corresponding to non-rectangular Young diagrams.
