Evasion of HSR in the charmless decays of excited $P$-wave charmonia

We investigate the charmless decays of excited $P$-wave charmonia $χ_{c1}^\prime \to VV$ and $χ_{c2}^\prime \to VP$ via intermediate charmed meson loops, where $V$ and $P$ denote the light vector and pseudoscalar mesons, respectively. Within the model parameters, the charmed meson loop contributions are evaluated by using the effective Lagrangian approach. For $χ_{c1}^\prime \to VV$, the partial widths of the $ρρ$, $ωω$, and $K^*{\bar K}^*$ channels can reach to the order of MeV, while the partial width of the $ϕϕ$ channel is very small and in the order of keV. For $χ_{c2}^\prime \to V P$, the partial widths of $χ_{c2}^{\prime} \to K^\ast \bar{K}+c.c$ turns out to be sizeable, while the partial widths of $χ_{c2}^{\prime} \to ρ^+π^- +c.c$ is found to be much smaller than the $K^\ast \bar{K}+c.c$ channel. Our calculations may be examined by the future BESIII experiments.

Decay patterns of low-lying $N_{s\bar{s}}$ states to the strangeness channels

Here we investigate the decay patterns of the low-lying hidden strangeness nucleon resonances ($\equiv N_{s\bar{s}}$) to the strangeness channels by employing the chiral Lagrangian approach, where the $N_{s\bar{s}}$ states are treated as compact pentaquark states. The $S$-wave decays of these states to the $PB$ (pseudoscalar meson and baryon) and $VB$ (vector meson and baryon) channels are studied. According to the obtained masses and decay properties, we find four states, namely, $N_{s\bar{s}}(1874)$ with quantum numbers $I(J^{P})=1/2(1/2^{-})$, $N_{s\bar{s}}(1885)$ with $I(J^{P})=1/2(3/2^{-})$, $N_{s\bar{s}}(2327)$ with $I(J^{P})=1/2(1/2^{-})$, and $N_{s\bar{s}}(2252)$ with $I(J^{P})=1/2(3/2^{-})$, may be associated to the well established nucleon resonances $N^*(1895)$, $N^{*}(1875)$, and the newly predicted $N^{*}(2355)$ and $N^{*}(2250)$ by CLAS collaboration, respectively. In addition, several other obtained hidden strangeness nucleon resonances may be expected to be dominant components of the predicted missing resonances in the literatures.

Photoproduction of $f_0(980)$ and $f_0(1500)$ resonances off a proton target

We study the $γp \to p f_0$ [$f_0(980)$ and $f_0(1500)$] reaction close to threshold within an effective Lagrangian approach. The production process is described by $s$-channel nucleon pole or $t$-channel $ρ$ and $ω$ exchange. The $K^0 \bar{K}^0$ invariant mass distributions of the $γp\to f_0(980)p \to K^0 \bar{K}^0$ and $γp\to f_0(1500)p \to K^0 \bar{K}^0 p$ reactions are investigated, where the two kaons have been separated in $S$ wave decaying from $f_0(980)$ and $f_0(1500)$. It is shown that the $s$-channel process is favored for the production of $f_0(980)$, while for the $f_0(1500)$ production, the experimental measurements can be described quite well by the $t$-channel process. It is expected that the theoretical results can be tested by further experiments at CLAS.

Investigations on the charmless decays of $Y(4260)$

Apart from the charmful decay channels of $Y(4260)$, the charmless decay channels of $Y(4260)$ also provide us a good platform to study the nature and the decay mechanism of $Y(4260)$. In this paper, we propose to probe the structure of $Y(4260)$ through the charmless decays $Y(4260)\to VP$ via intermediate $D_1\bar D+c.c.$ meson loops, where $V$ and $P$ stand for light vector and pseudoscalar mesons, respectively. Under the molecule ansatz of $Y(4260)$, the predicted total branching ratio $BR_{VP}$ for all $Y(4260)\to VP$ processes are about $(0.34^{+0.32}_{-0.23})%$ to $(0.75^{+0.72}_{-0.52})%$ with the cutoff parameter $α=2\sim 3$. Numerical results show that the intermediate $D_1 \bar D+c.c.$ meson loops may be a possible transition mechanism in the $Y(4260)\to VP$ decays. These predicted branching ratios are the same order to that of $Y(4260) \to Z_c^+(3900) π^-$, which may be an evidence of $D_1D$ molecule and can be examined by the forthcoming BESIII data in the near future.

Coupling constant for $Λ(1405)\bar{K}N$

The value of the $Λ(1405){\bar K}N$ coupling constant $g_{Λ(1405)\bar{K}N}$ is obtained by fitting it to the experimental data on the total cross sections of the $K^-p \to π^0Σ^0$ reaction. On the basis of an effective Lagrangian approach and isobar model, we show that the value $|g_{Λ(1405)\bar{K}N}| = 1.51 \pm 0.10$ could be extracted from the available experimental data by assuming that the $s-$channel $Λ(1405)$ resonance plays a dominant role, whereas, the background contributions from the $s-$channel $Λ(1115)$, $t-$channel $K^*$ and $u-$channel nucleon pole processes are small and can be neglected. However, the $u-$channel nucleon pole diagram may also give an important contribution in the present calculations. After the background contributions are taken into account, the above value of $g_{Λ(1405)\bar{K}N}$ is reduced to $|g_{Λ(1405)\bar{K}N}| = 0.77 \pm 0.07$, which is not supported by the previous calculations and the recent CLAS measurements. The theoretical calculations on differential cross sections are also presented, which can be checked by future experiments.

Strong decays of $N^{*}(1535)$ in an extended chiral quark model

The strong decays of the $N^{*}(1535)$ resonance are investigated in an extended chiral quark model by including the low-lying $qqqq\bar{q}$ components in addition to the $qqq$ component. The results show that these five-quark components in $N^{*}(1535)$ contribute significantly to the $N^{*}(1535)\to Nπ$ and $N^{*}(1535)\to Nη$ decays. The contributions to the $Nη$ decay come from both the lowest energy and the next-to-lowest energy five-quarks components, while the contributions to the $Nπ$ decay come from only the latter one. Taking these contributions into account, the description for the strong decays of $N^{*}(1535)$ is improved, especially, for the puzzling large ratio of the decays to $Nη$ and $Nπ$.

The $qqqq\bar{q}$ components and the magnetic moments of the charmed and the bottomed baryons

We give the explicit wave functions of the $qqqq\bar{q}$ components of the C=+1, J=1/2 charmed baryons, $Σ_{c}$, $Λ_{c}$ and $Ξ_{c}^{a}$, and calculate the magnetic moments by adding the 5q components contributions, and we also compute the magnetic moments of the $Σ_{b}$ and $Σ_{b}^{*}$ baryons. The influence of the additional light and strange $q\bar{q}$ pairs is investigated. It's obvious that the constituent quark masses of the charm and beauty quarks are much heavier than that of the light and strange quarks, consequently, the hidden flavor contributions to the baryons magnetic moments may be significant. What is interesting is that the inclusion of the $qqqq\bar{q}$ components contributions leads to different $Λ^{+}_{c}$, $Ξ^{a+}_{c}$ and $Ξ^{a0}_{c}$ magnetic moments, all of which are predicted to be the same value $0.38μ_{N}$ on the basis of the classical qqq quark model. And it's shown that the differences of these magnetic moments are independent of the constituent mass of the charm quark.
