On the Morrison-Kawamata dream space and its applications

We develop the theory of Morrison-Kawamata dream spaces, which axiomatizes varieties (not necessarily of Calabi-Yau type) that satisfy the Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture. Using this theory, we establish the generic deformation invariance of various cones and apply it to the boundedness problem of algebraic varieties.

Finiteness of K-moduli compactifications

In this note, we aim to prove the finite semi-algebraic chamber decomposition theorem for K-semi(poly)stability under the assumption of the log boundedness of K-semistable degenerations. This boundedness assumption is naturally arising from the finiteness of K-moduli compactifications.

Hybrid Boundary Physics-Informed Neural Networks for Solving Navier-Stokes Equations with Complex Boundary

Physics-informed neural networks (PINN) have achieved notable success in solving partial differential equations (PDE), yet solving the Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) with complex boundary conditions remains a challenging task. In this paper, we introduce a novel Hybrid Boundary PINN (HB-PINN) method that combines a pretrained network for efficient initialization with a boundary-constrained mechanism. The HB-PINN method features a primary network focused on inner domain points and a distance metric network that enhances predictions at the boundaries, ensuring accurate solutions for both boundary and interior regions. Comprehensive experiments have been conducted on the NSE under complex boundary conditions, including the 2D cylinder wake flow and the 2D blocked cavity flow with a segmented inlet. The proposed method achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance on these benchmark scenarios, demonstrating significantly improved accuracy over existing PINN-based approaches.

Variation of cones of divisors in a family of varieties -- Fano type case

We investigate the relationship between the Fano type property on fibers over a Zariski dense subset and the global Fano type property. We establish the invariance of N\'eron-Severi spaces, nef cones, effective cones, movable cones, and Mori chamber decompositions for a family of Fano type varieties after a generically finite base change. Additionally, we show the uniform behavior of the minimal model program for this family. These results are applied to the boundedness problem of Fano type varieties.

K-moduli with real coefficients

In this paper, we develop an algebraic K-stability theory (e.g. special test configuration theory and optimal destabilization theory) for log Fano $\mathbb R$-pairs, and construct a proper K-moduli space to parametrize K-polystable log Fano $\mathbb R$-pairs with some fixed invariants (e.g. dimension, volume, coefficients). All of these are well-known for log Fano $\mathbb Q$-pairs, and the strategy in this paper is trying to reduce the problems (in many cases) to $\mathbb Q$-coefficients case rather than rebuilding the whole program as in $\mathbb Q$-coefficients case.

Non-proportional wall crossing for K-stability

In this paper, we present a general wall crossing theory for K-stability and K-moduli of log Fano pairs whose boundary divisors can be non-proportional to the anti-canonical divisor. Along the way, we prove that there are only finitely many K-semistable domains associated to the fibers of a log bounded family of couples. Under the additional assumption of volume bounded from below, we show that K-semistable domains are semi-algebraic sets (although not necessarily polytopes). As a consequence, we obtain a finite semi-algebraic chamber decomposition for wall crossing of K-moduli spaces. In the case of one boundary divisor, this decomposition is an expected finite interval chamber decomposition. As an application of the theory, we prove a comparison theorem between GIT-stability and K-stability in non-proportional setting when the coefficient of the boundary is sufficiently small.

Physics-Informed Neural Networks with Complementary Soft and Hard Constraints for Solving Complex Boundary Navier-Stokes Equations

Soft- and hard-constrained Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) have achieved great success in solving partial differential equations (PDEs). However, these methods still face great challenges when solving the Navier-Stokes equations (NSEs) with complex boundary conditions. To address these challenges, this paper introduces a novel complementary scheme combining soft and hard constraint PINN methods. The soft-constrained part is thus formulated to obtain the preliminary results with a lighter training burden, upon which refined results are then achieved using a more sophisticated hard-constrained mechanism with a primary network and a distance metric network. Specifically, the soft-constrained part focuses on boundary points, while the primary network emphasizes inner domain points, primarily through PDE loss. Additionally, the novel distance metric network is proposed to predict the power function of the distance from a point to the boundaries, which serves as the weighting factor for the first two components. This approach ensures accurate predictions for both boundary and inner domain areas. The effectiveness of the proposed method on the NSEs problem with complex boundary conditions is demonstrated by solving a 2D cylinder wake problem and a 2D blocked cavity flow with a segmented inlet problem, achieving significantly higher accuracy compared to traditional soft- and hard-constrained PINN approaches. Given PINN's inherent advantages in solving the inverse and the large-scale problems, which are challenging for traditional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods, this approach holds promise for the inverse design of required flow fields by specifically-designed boundary conditions and the reconstruction of large-scale flow fields by adding a limited number of training input points. The code for our approach will be made publicly available.

Boundedness of log Fano pairs with certain K-stability

We prove several boundedness results for log Fano pairs with certain K-stability. In particular, we prove that K-semistable log Fano pairs of Maeda type form a log bounded family. We also compute K-semistable domains for some examples.

Log K-stability of GIT-stable divisors on Fano varieties

For a given K-polystable Fano variety $X$ and a natural number $l$ such that $(X, \frac{1}{l} B)$ is log canonical for some $B\in |-lK_X|$, we show that there exists a rational number $0<c_1<1$ depending only on $X$ and $l$, such that $D\in |-lK_X|$ is GIT-(semi/poly)stable under the action of Aut(X) if and only if the pair $(X, \fracε{l}D)$ is K-(semi/poly)stable for some rational $0<ε<c_1$.

Two results regarding the variation of K-moduli

In this note, we prove two results regarding the variation of K-moduli. The first one reveals the relationship between the chamber decomposition for K-semistable domains and the variation of GIT. The second one presents the relationship between the K-moduli generically parametrizing K-semistable smooth Fano complete intersections of the form $S_1\cap...\cap S_k$ and the K-moduli generically parametrizing K-semistable log Fano manifolds of the form $(\mathbb{P}^n, \sum_{j=1}^kx_jS_j)$, where $x_j\in (0,1)\cap \mathbb{Q}$ and $S_j\subset \mathbb{P}^n$ is a hypersurface of degree $d_j$ for each $1\leq j\leq k$.

On the shape of the K-semistable domain and wall crossing for K-stability

Fixing two positive integers $d$ and $k$, a positive number $v$, and a positive integer $I$, we prove that the K-semistable domain of the log pair $(X, \sum_{j=1}^kD_j)$ is a rational polytope lying in the $k$-dimensional simplex $\overline{\Delta^k}$, where $X$ is a Fano variety of dimension $d$, $D_j\sim_\mathbb{Q} -K_X$, $(-K_X)^d=v$, $I(K_X+D_j)\sim 0$, and $(X, \sum_{j=1}^kc_jD_j)$ is a K-semistable log Fano pair for some $c_j\in [0,1)\cap \mathbb{Q}$. Moreover, we show that there are only finitely many polytopes which may appear as the K-semistable domains for such log pairs. Based on this, we establish a wall crossing theory for K-moduli with multiple boundaries.

In this note, we prove effective semi-ampleness conjecture due to Prokhorov and Shokurov for a special case, more concretely, for Q-Gorenstein klt-trivial fibrations over smooth projective curves whose fibers are all klt log Calabi-Yau pairs of Fano type.

On multiplicities of fibers of Fano fibrations

In this note, we reduce various conjectures in birational geometry, including Shokurov conjecture on singularities of the base of log Calabi-Yau fibrations of Fano type and boundedness conjecture for rationally connected Calabi-Yau varieties, to a conjecture on multiplicities of fibers of Fano fibrations over curves.
