An optimal measurement strategy to beat the quantum uncertainty in correlated system

Uncertainty principle is an inherent nature of quantum system that undermines the precise measurement of incompatible observables and hence the applications of quantum theory. Entanglement, another unique feature of quantum physics, was found may help to reduce the quantum uncertainty. In this paper, we propose a practical method to reduce the one party measurement uncertainty by determining the measurement on the other party of an entangled bipartite system. In light of this method, a family of conditional majorization uncertainty relations in the presence of quantum memory is constructed, which is applicable to arbitrary number of observables. The new family of uncertainty relations implies sophisticated structures of quantum uncertainty and nonlocality, that were usually studied by using scalar measures. Applications to reduce the local uncertainty and to witness quantum nonlocalities are also presented.

The Decompositions of Werner and Isotropic States

The decompositions of separable Werner state, and also isotropic state, are well-known tough issues in quantum information theory, in this work we investigate them in the Bloch vector representation, exploring the symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measure (SIC-POVM) in the Hilbert space. We successfully get the decomposition for arbitrary $N\times N$ Werner state in terms of regular simplexes. Meanwhile, the decomposition of isotropic state is found to be related to the decomposition of Werner state via partial transposition. It is interesting to note that in the large $N$ limit, while the Werner states are either separable or non-steerably entangled, most of the isotropic states tend to be steerable.

NLO QCD corrections to exclusive electroproduction of quarkonium

The process of exclusive electroproduction of vector quarkonium (EEQ), $e p\to epV$, is per se an interesting topic in studies of quarkonium production mechanism, QCD description of diffractive interaction and nucleon structure. We investigate this process in the framework of nonrelativistic QCD and QCD collinear factorization at the next-to-leading order QCD accuracy. The perturbative convergence behavior is discussed in a large range of photon virtuality $Q^2$. The $J/ψ$ large-$Q^2$ electroproduction data at HERA can be well explained, and the $Υ$ differential production rate is predicted. The uncertainties in theoretical predictions with radiative corrections are greatly reduced. Notice the EEQ process is extremely sensitive to the gluon distribution in nucleon, the generalized parton distribution, our results will constraint the gluon density with high precision while confronting to the future experimental data. For the sake of comparing convenience, the analytic expressions are provided.

NLO QCD corrections to $B_c$-pair production in photon-photon collision

The $B_c$ meson pair, including pairs of both pseudoscalar states and vector states, productions in high energy photon-photon interaction are investigated at the next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy in the nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The corresponding cross sections at the future $e^+e^-$ colliders with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV and $500$ GeV are evaluated. Numerical result indicates that the inclusion of the NLO corrections shall greatly suppress the scale dependence and enhance the prediction reliability. In addition to the phenomenological meaning, the NLO QCD calculation of this process subjects to certain technical issues, which are elucidated in details and might be applicable to other relevant investigations.

Test of Nonlocal Hidden Variable Theory by Leggett Inequality in High Energy Physics

The Leggett inequality is a constraint on the bipartite correlation that admits certain types of non-localities. Existing tests mainly focused on the electromagnetic systems where measurement apparatus are assumed to be projective and sharp. However, in nature there are interactions that do not obey the same conservation laws for photon, and the actual measurements may subject to unavoidable uncertainties due to the fundamental physical principles. In this work, we generalize the Leggett inequality to incorporate the measurements that are unsharp and/or biased. It is found that the parity violation in nature provides a spontaneous implementation of an unsharp measurement for the spin of hyperon. A fine structured Leggett inequality for hyperon decays characterized by the asymmetry parameters is obtained and its violation is found which could be observed with the yet obtained data in experiment, like BESIII and Belle.

Nonlocal Correlation of Spin in High Energy Physics

Nonlocality is a key feature of quantum theory and is reflected in the violation of Bell inequalities for entangled systems. The experimental tests beyond the electromagnetism and massless quanta are of great importance for understanding the nonlocality in different quantum interactions. In this work, we develop a generalized Clauser-Horne inequality pertaining especially to the high energy physics processes, which is quantum mechanical intervene free. We find, in the process of pseudoscalar quarkonium exclusive decay to entangled $Λ\barΛ$ pairs, the inequality could be violated and is verifiable in high energy experiments, like BES III or BELLE II.

NLO QCD corrections to $J/ψ$ pair production in photon-photon collision

We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) correction to the exclusive process $γ+γ\to J/ψ+J/ψ$ in the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The cross sections at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider, as well as at the future colliders, like the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) and the International Linear Collider (ILC), are evaluated. Numerical result indicates that the process will be hopefully to be seen by the Belle II detector within the next decade.

Gluon-pair-Creation Production Model of Strong Interaction Vertices

By studying the $η_c$ exclusive decay to double glueballs, we introduce a model to mimic phenomenologically the gluon-pair-vacuum interaction vertices, namely the $0^{++}$ model. Based on this model, we study glueball production in pseudoscalar quarkonium decays, explicitly $η_c \to f_0(1500)η(1405)$, $η_b\to f_0(1500)η(1405)$ and $η_b\to f_0(1710)η(1405)$ processes. Among them $f_0(1500)$ and $f_0(1710)$ are well-known scalars possessing large glue components and $η(1405)$ is a potential candidate for pseudoscalar glueball. The preliminary calculation results indicate that these processes are marginally accessible in the presently running experiments BES III, BELLE II, and LHCb.

Hidden-bottom and -charm hexaquark states in QCD sum rules

In this paper, we investigate the spectra of the prospective hidden-bottom and -charm hexaquark states with quantum numbers $J^{PC }= 0^{++}$, $0^{-+}$, $1^{++}$ and $1^{--}$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. By constructing appropriate interpreting currents, the QCD sum rules analyses are performed up to dimension 12 of the condensates. Results indicate that there exist two possible baryonium states in $b$-quark sector with masses $11.84 \pm 0.22$ GeV and $11.72 \pm 0.26$ GeV for $0^{++}$ and $1^{--}$, respectively. The corresponding hidden-charm partners are found lying respectively at $5.19 \pm 0.24$ GeV and $4.78 \pm 0.23$ GeV. Note that these baryonium states are all above the dibaryon thresholds, which enables their dominant decay modes could be measured at BESIII, BELLEII, and LHCb detectors.

Analytical analysis on the orbits of Taiji spacecrafts to infinite order of the orbital eccentricity

The dual configuration of the original one is proposed for the orbit design of Taiji spacecrafts. In terms of these two configurations of Taiji, an algorithm is devised to expand the unperturbed Keplerian orbits of spacecrafts to infinite order of $e$, the orbital eccentricity, in the heliocentric coordinate system. Further, based on the algorithm, all the kinematic indicators of Taiji triangles, say three arm-lengths and their corresponding rates of change, and three vertex angles, in both configurations are also be expanded to infinite order of $e$, and it is proved that both configurations of Taiji possess the same symmetry: At every order, three components of every kinematic indicator of Taiji triangle are identical to each other up to a phase shift of $2π/3$, which is independent on the tilt angle of Taiji plane relative to the ecliptic plane. Finally, the above algorithm is slightly modified, and with it, by adjusting the tilt angle around $π/3$ to any order of $e$, the orbits of Taiji spacecrafts in each configuration can be optimized.

Experimental investigation of the uncertainty relations with coherent light

Taking advantage of coherent light beams, we experimentally investigate the variancebased uncertainty relations and the optimal majorization uncertainty relation for the two-dimensional quantum mechanical system.Different from most of the experiments which devoted to record each individual quantum, we examine the uncertainty relations by measuring an ensemble of photons with two polarization degree of freedom characterized by the Stokes parameters which allow us to determine the polarization density matrix with high precision. The optimality of the recently proposed direct-sum majorization uncertainty relation is verified by measuring the Lorenz curves. Results show that the Lorenz curve method represents a faithful verification of the majorization uncertainty relation and the uncertainty relation is indeed an ensemble property of quantum system.

NLO QCD Corrections to Inclusive Charmonium and $B_c$ Meson Production in $W^+$ Decays

We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) corrections to inclusive processes $W^+\to J/ψ(η_c)+c+\bar{s}+X$ and $W^+\to B_c(B_c^{*})+b+\bar{s}+X$ in the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. Result indicates that the NLO corrections are significant, and the uncertainties in theoretical predictions with NLO corrections are greatly reduced. The charmonium and $B_c$ meson yielding rates at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are given.

Analytical analysis on the orbits of Taiji spacecrafts

The unperturbed Keplerian orbits of Taiji spacecrafts are expanded to $e^3$ order in the heliocentric coordinate system, where $e$ is their orbital eccentricity. The three arm-lengths of Taiji triangle and their rates of change are also expanded to $e^3$ order, while the three vertex angles are expanded to $e^2$ order. These kinematic indicators of Taiji triangle are, further, minimized, respectively, by adjusting the tilt angle of Taiji plane relative to the ecliptic plane around $\pmπ/3$, and thus, their corresponding optimized expressions are presented. Then, under the case that the nominal trailing angle of Taiji constellation following the Earth is set to be $χ(\approx\pmπ/9)$ from the viewpoint of the Sun, the influence of the Earth perturbation on three spacecrafts is calculated according to the equations of motion in the problem of three bodies, and the perturbative solutions of the leading order and the next leading order are derived. With the perturbative solutions, the leading-order corrections to the above kinematic indicators of Taiji triangle and the expression of the above trailing angle to the order of $e^3$ are provided.

Doubly Heavy Tetraquarks in QCD Sum Rules

In the framework of QCD Sum Rules we investigate the $q q^\prime \bar{Q} \bar{Q}$ tetraquark structure with quantum number $J^P = 1^+$, which are embedded in two types of configurations, the $[8_c]_{q \bar{Q}} \otimes [8_c]_{q^\prime \bar{Q}}$ and $[1_c]_{q \bar{Q}} \otimes [1_c]_{q^\prime \bar{Q}}$ with $Q = b, c$, $q = u$, and $q^\prime = d, s$. Our finding confirms the Lattice QCD result that the bottom tetraquark states could exist and their masses are evaluated. In the calculation, the non-perturbative condensate contributions up to dimension eight in operator product expansion are considered, and those terms linear to the strange quark mass $m_s$ are kept. It is found that for octet-octet configuration the masses of potential tetraquark states are about $11.28$ GeV for the $ud\bar{b}\bar{b}$ system, and $11.31$ and $11.34$ GeV for the $us\bar{b}\bar{b}$ system, which are above the corresponding two-meson thresholds. For molecular configuration, the corresponding masses are found below the thresholds, that is $10.36$ GeV and $10.48$ GeV, respectively. The possible tetraquark decay channels are analyzed and the strong decay rates are evaluated. The mass dependence on the radiative correction and the condensates is estimated. Moreover, the doubly charmed tetraquark states are also considered.

Characterizing the Quantum Non-locality by the Mathematics of Magic Square

By constructing the quantum state in high-dimensional probability tensor, we find the quantum magic square(QMS) may stand as an ideal means of characterizing the non-local phenomena, i.e. the separability, entanglement, two/one-way steering, and Bell non-locality, etc. In this scheme, different types of non-locality exhibit distinctive inner structures of the probability tensor, which are observable in form of the partial sum of the tensor components. In application, we prove the Bell and GHZ theorems, and demonstrate that the uncertainty relation may rate the non-locality, from Bell locality to separability. We derive a conditional majorization uncertainty relation, which is superior to the steering criterion previously thought to be optimal for the uncertainty relation.

Analyzing doubly heavy tetra- and penta-quark states by variational method

Motivated by the very recent observations of hidden charm pentaquarks $P_c(4312)^+$, $P_c(4440)^+$ and $P_c(4457)^+$ of the LHCb Collaboration, we systematically study the spectra of the doubly-heavy (with or without charm/bottom numbers) pentaquarks and tetraquarks in non-relativistic constituent quark model. The model independent variational method is employed to solve the Schrödinger equation, where the test functions adopted are symmetric for the light quarks. In our study, the $P_c(4312)^+$ may be assigned as the ground state with spin-parity $\frac{1}{2}^-$ or $\frac{3}{2}^-$, while the $P_c(4440)^+$ and $P_c(4457)^+$ may be assigned as the excited states with $\frac{1}{2}^-$, which might all belong to the sextet with $s_{c\bar{c}}=1$ and $s_\ell=\frac{3}{2}$. It is notable that our working framework is quite similar to that of Hydrogen molecule, but with different potential structure. We also classify these pentaquarks and tetraquarks in light of the heavy quark symmetry and their decay properties are analyzed. Several promising channels for the observation of doubly-heavy pentaquarks and doubly-heavy tetraquarks in experiment are proposed.

The Optimal Uncertainty Relation

Employing the lattice theory on majorization, we investigate the universal quantum uncertainty relation for any number observables and general measurement. We find: 1. The least bounds of the universal uncertainty relations can only be properly defined in the lattice theory; 2. Contrary to variance and entropy, the metric induced by the majorization lattice implies an intrinsic structure of the quantum uncertainty; 3. The lattice theory correlates the optimization of uncertainty relation with the entanglement transformation under local quantum operation and classical communication. Interestingly, the optimality of the universal uncertainty relation is found can be mimicked by the Lorenz curve, initially introduced in economics to measure the wealth concentration degree of a society.

Exploring Bosonic Mediator of Interaction at BESIII

We present a comprehensive investigation on the possibility of the search for new force mediator $X$ boson in $e^+e^-$ collision and $J/ψ$ decay at the BESIII experiment. The typical interactions of $X$ boson coupling to leptons and quarks are explored. The production and decay properties of this $X$ particle, the product/decay chains $e^+e^-\to Xγ\to e^+e^-γ$ and $J/ψ\to Xγ\toμ^+μ^-γ$, and exclusion limits on the reduced coupling strength parameters as functions of $X$ boson mass are presented. With the data set of tens of fb$^{-1}~e^+e^-$ or $10^{10}~J/ψ$, we find that the exclusion limits on the coupling strength parameters fall in the range of $10^{-3}\sim10^{-4}$, depending on $m_X$ assuming the decay width 10 eV$<Γ_X<$100 eV reasonably, for various hypotheses in the literature. According to our estimation, the search for new force mediator $X$ boson in both $e^+e^-$ collision and $J/ψ$ decay are accessible in nowadays BESIII experiment.
