Hypothesize, Evaluate, Refine: A Scientific Agent for PDE Discovery with Unknown Spatial Coefficient Fields

Discovering PDEs in heterogeneous media requires jointly identifying the governing operator and the unknown spatial fields that parameterize it. These tasks are coupled: changing field placement changes the differential law, while a sufficiently flexible field can conceal structural error on a single trajectory. We present Hypothesize, Evaluate, Refine for PDE Discovery (HER-PDE), a scientific-agent framework that discovers compositional PDE structure together with nonparametric, time-invariant coefficient fields. The Agent analyzes two noisy trajectories generated by different excitations, proposes complete expression-tree hypotheses, and combines creative structural exploration with local candidate refinement. Its Hypothesis Evaluation Interface (HEI) estimates only the fields explicitly declared in each hypothesis, never adds missing terms, and scores structures by bidirectional cross-excitation transfer. The selected law is subsequently audited on a sealed temporal interval. Across five controlled two-dimensional systems observed with 5 percent relative Gaussian state noise, the Agent recovers the generating operator in all five cases, including equivalent signed-field and product-rule parameterizations. Across nine unknown coefficient fields, the recovered fields attain a median Pearson correlation of approximately 0.85 and a median relative L2 error of approximately 0.28. These results show that agent-guided hypothesis refinement can recover heterogeneous governing laws without prescribing a parametric form for their spatial coefficients.

Reliability-Constrained Hybrid Beamforming for Multistatic ISAC in Vehicular Networks

This letter investigates reliability constrained hybrid beamforming for transceiver separated multistatic integrated sensing and communication in vehicular networks. A target position Cramer Rao bound minimization problem is formulated under outage probability, transmit-power, and analog constant modulus constraints. To handle the constrained non convex problem, we develop a proportional-integral Lagrangian proximal policy optimization algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm keeps the average outage probability at or below the reliability threshold, around 8%-10%, improves constraint satisfaction, and achieves stable sensing performance.

Near-Unity Excitation and Radiative Efficiencies in Electroluminescence Without External Carrier Injection

Electroluminescence occurring without external charge injection is typically characterized by weak emission and excessive driving voltage, due to low excitation and radiative recombination efficiencies. Here, we demonstrate non-injecting electroluminescence (NI-EL) that challenges this conventional perception. To achieve this, we introduce an operational paradigm that leverages remote, state-abundant charge reservoirs, which elevates the excitation efficiency close to unity - a greater-than-20-fold improvement over the benchmark. This strategy is augmented by quantum dots (QDs) with nonmonotonically graded shells, raising the high-field radiative efficiency by approximately 7-8-fold. The resultant RGB NI-EL devices uniformly exhibit bright and efficient pulsed emissions, with key metrics including: a turn-on threshold of 3.7 Vrms for red; a luminance of 291,628 nits and a power efficiency of 302.6 lm/W for green, with light-outcoupling enhancement; and, for blue, the superior emitter stability of the first QD-based blue NI-EL over its light-emitting diode counterpart. The minimal dielectric loss, sub-100 ns response time, and external EL efficiency of up to 45.4% further reinforce the mechanism-performance causality. These results overcome the inherent mechanistic limitations of NI-EL and establish performance that rivals or surpasses injection-type EL, including AC- or DC-driven variants, positioning NI-EL as a promising platform for high-performance pulsed light sources.

Averaged Evaluation Masks Capability Trade-Offs: Multi-Source Calibration for High-Sparsity LLM Pruning

Calibration data are often treated as a minor implementation detail in post-training LLM pruning because averaged evaluations suggest only modest effects. We show that this conclusion is an averaging artifact: at 60\% SparseGPT sparsity, calibration strategies separated by only 2.85 points in averaged commonsense accuracy differ by 51.9 points in Code retention. Across 15 sources, capability-decomposed analysis reveals an opposing pattern: calibration perplexity is positively associated with General retention but negatively associated with Math or Code retention, leaving no evaluated single source uniformly strong across capabilities. This finding motivates capability-balanced multi-source calibration. Under the same calibration budget, a balanced real-data mixture outperforms every evaluated single source on LLaMA-3.1-8B, beating C4 by 18.8 points; the advantage grows with sparsity and persists on LLaMA-3.1-70B. Because the original pretraining data of advanced LLMs are often inaccessible, we further introduce Information-Guided Self-Calibration for Pruning (IGSP). Using only the base model and evaluation taxonomy, IGSP generates capability-stratified pools and selects low-redundancy samples within capability-specific perplexity ranges, outperforming Self-Cal and SGS by up to 4.8 points. Together, these results recast calibration as a capability-coverage problem and identify multi-source design as a practical principle for preserving capabilities in high-sparsity LLM pruning.

Flow-Guided Implicit Neural Representation for Motion-Aware Dynamic MRI Reconstruction

Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) captures temporally-resolved anatomy but is often challenged by limited sampling and motion-induced artifacts. Conventional motion-compensated reconstructions typically rely on pre-estimated optical flow, which is inaccurate under undersampling and degrades reconstruction quality. In this work, we propose a novel implicit neural representation (INR) framework that jointly models both the dynamic image sequence and its underlying motion field. Specifically, one INR is employed to parameterize the spatiotemporal image content, while another INR represents the optical flow. The two are coupled via the optical flow equation, which serves as a physics-inspired regularization, in addition to a data consistency loss that enforces agreement with k-space measurements. This joint optimization enables simultaneous recovery of temporally coherent images and motion fields without requiring prior flow estimation. Experiments on dynamic cardiac MRI datasets demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art motion-compensated and deep learning approaches, achieving superior reconstruction quality, accurate motion estimation, and improved temporal fidelity. These results highlight the potential of implicit joint modeling with flow-regularized constraints for advancing dMRI reconstruction.

GCRank: A Generative Contextual Comprehension Paradigm for Takeout Ranking Model

The ranking stage serves as the central optimization and allocation hub in advertising systems, governing economic value distribution through eCPM and orchestrating the user-centric blending of organic and advertising content. Prevailing ranking models often rely on fragmented modules and hand-crafted features, limiting their ability to interpret complex user intent. This challenge is further amplified in location-based services such as food delivery, where user decisions are shaped by dynamic spatial, temporal, and individual contexts. To address these limitations, we propose a novel generative framework that reframes ranking as a context comprehension task, modeling heterogeneous signals in a unified architecture. Our architecture consists of two core components: the Generative Contextual Encoder (GCE) and the Generative Contextual Fusion (GCF). The GCE comprises three specialized modules: a Personalized Context Enhancer (PCE) for user-specific modeling, a Collective Context Enhancer (CCE) for group-level patterns, and a Dynamic Context Enhancer (DCE) for real-time situational adaptation. The GCF module then seamlessly integrates these contextual representations through low-rank adaptation. Extensive experiments confirm that our method achieves significant gains in critical business metrics, including click-through rate and platform revenue. We have successfully deployed our method on a large-scale food delivery advertising platform, demonstrating its substantial practical impact. This work pioneers a new perspective on generative recommendation and highlights its practical potential in industrial advertising systems.

Towards Globally Predictable k-Space Interpolation: A White-box Transformer Approach

Interpolating missing data in k-space is essential for accelerating imaging. However, existing methods, including convolutional neural network-based deep learning, primarily exploit local predictability while overlooking the inherent global dependencies in k-space. Recently, Transformers have demonstrated remarkable success in natural language processing and image analysis due to their ability to capture long-range dependencies. This inspires the use of Transformers for k-space interpolation to better exploit its global structure. However, their lack of interpretability raises concerns regarding the reliability of interpolated data. To address this limitation, we propose GPI-WT, a white-box Transformer framework based on Globally Predictable Interpolation (GPI) for k-space. Specifically, we formulate GPI from the perspective of annihilation as a novel k-space structured low-rank (SLR) model. The global annihilation filters in the SLR model are treated as learnable parameters, and the subgradients of the SLR model naturally induce a learnable attention mechanism. By unfolding the subgradient-based optimization algorithm of SLR into a cascaded network, we construct the first white-box Transformer specifically designed for accelerated MRI. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in k-space interpolation accuracy while providing superior interpretability.

Unsupervised patch-based dynamic MRI reconstruction using learnable tensor function with implicit neural representation

Dynamic MRI suffers from limited spatiotemporal resolution due to long acquisition times. Undersampling k-space accelerates imaging but makes accurate reconstruction challenging. Supervised deep learning methods achieve impressive results but rely on large fully sampled datasets, which are difficult to obtain. Recently, implicit neural representations (INR) have emerged as a powerful unsupervised paradigm that reconstructs images from a single undersampled dataset without external training data. However, existing INR-based methods still face challenges when applied to highly undersampled dynamic MRI, mainly due to their inefficient representation capacity and high computational cost. To address these issues, we propose TenF-INR, a novel unsupervised framework that integrates low-rank tensor modeling with INR, where each factor matrix in the tensor decomposition is modeled as a learnable factor function. Specifically,we employ INR to model learnable tensor functions within a low-rank decomposition, reducing the parameter space and computational burden. A patch-based nonlocal tensor modeling strategy further exploits temporal correlations and inter-patch similarities, enhancing the recovery of fine spatiotemporal details. Experiments on dynamic cardiac and abdominal datasets demonstrate that TenF-INR achieves up to 21-fold acceleration, outperforming both supervised and unsupervised state-of-the-art methods in image quality, temporal fidelity, and quantitative accuracy.

K-space Diffusion Model Based MR Reconstruction Method for Simultaneous Multislice Imaging

Simultaneous Multi-Slice(SMS) is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique which excites several slices concurrently using multiband radiofrequency pulses to reduce scanning time. However, due to its variable data structure and difficulty in acquisition, it is challenging to integrate SMS data as training data into deep learning frameworks. This study proposed a novel k-space diffusion model of SMS reconstruction that does not utilize SMS data for training. Instead, it incorporates Slice GRAPPA during the sampling process to reconstruct SMS data from different acquisition modes. Our results demonstrated that this method outperforms traditional SMS reconstruction methods and can achieve higher acceleration factors without in-plane aliasing.

General Information Metrics for Improving AI Model Training Efficiency

To address the growing size of AI model training data and the lack of a universal data selection methodology-factors that significantly drive up training costs -- this paper presents the General Information Metrics Evaluation (GIME) method. GIME leverages general information metrics from Objective Information Theory (OIT), including volume, delay, scope, granularity, variety, duration, sampling rate, aggregation, coverage, distortion, and mismatch to optimize dataset selection for training purposes. Comprehensive experiments conducted across diverse domains, such as CTR Prediction, Civil Case Prediction, and Weather Forecasting, demonstrate that GIME effectively preserves model performance while substantially reducing both training time and costs. Additionally, applying GIME within the Judicial AI Program led to a remarkable 39.56% reduction in total model training expenses, underscoring its potential to support efficient and sustainable AI development.

Network-Security Informed Offer-Making of Aggregator with Utility-Owned Storage Lease Opportunity: Stochastic Stackelberg Game and Distributed Solution Methods

Aggregators of distributed energy resources are increasingly encouraged to participate in wholesale market bidding. However, the delivery of the power they are awarded can result in over-voltage or congestion issues within the distribution network (DN). The opportunity to lease energy storage from the utility that manages the DN provides the aggregator with a means to mitigate these issues, while also benefiting the utility in terms of additional lease revenue. Nevertheless, this leasing opportunity considerably complicates the aggregator's offer-making process, as it requires the consideration of market uncertainties, uncertain power injection at DN buses, and the strategic interactions between the aggregator and the utility. This paper presents a stochastic Stackelberg game model that effectively captures the interactions between the aggregator and the utility, ensuring DN security across all potential uncertainty scenarios. Furthermore, in light of the privacy concerns of both the aggregator and the utility, two distributed solution methods are proposed. The first method follows a traditional predict-then-optimize framework and has been validated to achieve the game equilibrium. The second method employs an end-to-end framework, which has been empirically shown to yield superior economic results. Case studies conducted on 69 and 533-bus DNs illustrate the efficacy of the proposed methods.

Optimized Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting Using Ziv-Zakai Bound

Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF) has emerged as a promising quantitative imaging technique within the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), offers comprehensive insights into tissue properties by simultaneously acquiring multiple tissue parameter maps in a single acquisition. Sequence optimization is crucial for improving the accuracy and efficiency of MRF. In this work, a novel framework for MRF sequence optimization is proposed based on the Ziv-Zakai bound (ZZB). Unlike the Cram\'er-Rao bound (CRB), which aims to enhance the quality of a single fingerprint signal with deterministic parameters, ZZB provides insights into evaluating the minimum mismatch probability for pairs of fingerprint signals within the specified parameter range in MRF. Specifically, the explicit ZZB is derived to establish a lower bound for the discrimination error in the fingerprint signal matching process within MRF. This bound illuminates the intrinsic limitations of MRF sequences, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of existing sequence performance. Subsequently, an optimal experiment design problem based on ZZB was formulated to ascertain the optimal scheme of acquisition parameters, maximizing discrimination power of MRF between different tissue types. Preliminary numerical experiments show that the optimized ZZB scheme outperforms both the conventional and CRB schemes in terms of the reconstruction accuracy of multiple parameter maps.

Score-based Diffusion Models With Self-supervised Learning For Accelerated 3D Multi-contrast Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Long scan time significantly hinders the widespread applications of three-dimensional multi-contrast cardiac magnetic resonance (3D-MC-CMR) imaging. This study aims to accelerate 3D-MC-CMR acquisition by a novel method based on score-based diffusion models with self-supervised learning. Specifically, we first establish a mapping between the undersampled k-space measurements and the MR images, utilizing a self-supervised Bayesian reconstruction network. Secondly, we develop a joint score-based diffusion model on 3D-MC-CMR images to capture their inherent distribution. The 3D-MC-CMR images are finally reconstructed using the conditioned Langenvin Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling. This approach enables accurate reconstruction without fully sampled training data. Its performance was tested on the dataset acquired by a 3D joint myocardial T1 and T1rho mapping sequence. The T1 and T1rho maps were estimated via a dictionary matching method from the reconstructed images. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms traditional compressed sensing and existing self-supervised deep learning MRI reconstruction methods. It also achieves high quality T1 and T1rho parametric maps close to the reference maps, even at a high acceleration rate of 14.
