Higgs sector phenomenology in the 3-3-1 model with an axionlike particle

The scalar sector of the 3-3-1 model with axion like particle is studied in detail. In the model under consideration, there are two kinds of scalar fields: the bilepton scalars carrying lepton number two and the ordinary ones without lepton number. We show that there is no mixing among these two kinds of scalar fields. We analyze in detail the CP-odd scalar sector of the model to find the physical fields of the axion like particle and a pseudoscalar with mass in the range 100 GeV to 1 TeV. The results are different from others which have been published before. The CP-even scalar sector of the model is analyzed as well. The results of our analysis of the scalar sector allow us to accommodate scalar masses in the $100$ GeV-$1$ TeV region. Furthermore we analyze the implications of the model in several flavor changing neutral decays of the top quark as well as in rare top quark decays. Besides that, the leptonic decays of the SM like Higgs boson as well as the meson oscillations are also analyzed. Our numerical analysis show that the model under consideration is consistent with the experimental constraints imposed by these processes.

COHERENT constraints on $Z'$ in 331$β$ model

We investigate coherent-elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering ($CEνNS$) in 3-3-1 models for different values of $β$ in which $β$ is a parameter used to define the charge operator of the 331 models. We show that the number of events predicted by 331$β$ model is in agreement with the data given by COHERENT experiment. We evaluate the sensitivity of the mass of Z' boson with 90% confidence level (CL) and find that $m_{Z'}\geq 1.4 $TeV for $β=-\sqrt{3}$ with 90% CL. We perform $χ^2$ fit for liquid Argon, Germanium and NaI detector subsystems, we obtain $m_{Z'} \geq [2,3.1 ]$ TeV with 90\% CL. Our results indicate low-energy high-intensity measurements can provide a valuable probe, complementary to high energy collider searches at LHC and electroweak precision measurements.

The effect of the scalar unparticle on the production of Higgs - radion at high energy colliders

An attempt is made to present the influence of the scalar unparticle on some scattering processes in the Randall - Sundum model. The contribution of the scalar unparticle on the production of Higgs - radion at high energy colliders is studied in detail. We evaluate the production cross-sections in the electron-positron ($e^{+}e^{-}$), photon-photon ($γγ$) and gluon-gluon ($gg$) collisions, which depend strongly on the collision energy $\sqrt{s}$, the scaling dimension $d_{U}$ of the unparticle operator $\mathcal{O}_{U}$ and the energy scale $Λ_{U}$. Numerical evaluation shows that the cross - sections for the pair production of scalar particles are much larger than that of the associated production of the scalar particle with unparticle in the same condition

The economical 3-3-1 model revisited

We show that the economical 3-3-1 model poses a very high new physics scale of the order of 1000~TeV due to the constraint on the flavor-changing neutral current. The implications of the model for neutrino masses, inflation, leptogenesis, and superheavy dark matter are newly recognized. Alternatively, we modify the model by rearranging the third quark generation differently from the first two quark generations, as well as changing the scalar sector. The resultant model now predicts a consistent new physics at TeV scale unlike the previous case and may be fully probed at the current colliders. Particularly, due to the minimal particle contents, the models under consideration manifestly accommodate dark matter candidates and neutrino masses, with novel and distinct production mechanisms. The large flavor-changing neutral currents that come from the ordinary and exotic quark mixings can be avoided due to the approximate $B-L$ symmetry.

Investigation of Dark Matter in Minimal 3-3-1 Models

It is shown that the 3-3-1 model with the minimal lepton content can work as two-Higgs-triplet 3-3-1 model while leaving the other scalars as inert particles responsible for dark matter. We study two cases of dark matter corresponding to the doublet and singlet scalar candidates. We figure out the parameter spaces in the WMAP allowed region of the relic density. The indirect and direct searches for dark matter in both cases are investigated by using micrOMEGAs.

Simple 3-3-1 model and implication for dark matter

We propose a new and realistic 3-3-1 model with the minimal lepton and scalar contents, named the simple 3-3-1 model. The scalar sector contains two new heavy Higgs bosons, one neutral H and another singly-charged H^\pm, besides the standard model Higgs boson. There is a mixing between the Z boson and the new neutral gauge boson (Z'). The ρparameter constrains the 3-3-1 breaking scale (w) to be w>460 GeV. The quarks get consistent masses via five-dimensional effective interactions while the leptons via interactions up to six dimensions. Particularly, the neutrino small masses are generated as a consequence of the approximate lepton-number symmetry of the model. The proton is stabilized due to the lepton-parity conservation (-1)^L. The hadronic FCNCs are calculated that give a bound w>3.6 TeV and yield that the third quark generation is different from the first two. The correct mass generation for top quark implies that the minimal scalar sector as proposed is unique. By the simple 3-3-1 model, the other scalars beside the minimal ones can behave as inert fields responsible for dark matter. A triplet, doublet and singlet dark matter are respectively recognized. Our proposals provide the solutions for the long-standing dark matter issue in the minimal 3-3-1 model.

Total cross-section for photon-axion conversions in external electromagnetic field

We reconsider the conversion of the photon into axion in the external electromagnetic fields, namely in the static fields and in a periodic field of the wave guide. The total cross-sections for the conversion are evaluated in detail. The result shows that with strong strength of external electromagnetic fields, the cross-sections are large enough to measure the axion production. In the wave guide there exists the resonant conversion at the low energies, in which the value of cross-sections is much enhanced

The 3-3-1 model with inert scalar triplet

We show that the typical 3-3-1 models are only self-consistent if they contain interactions explicitly violating the lepton number. The 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos can by itself work as an economical 3-3-1 model as a natural recognition of the above criteria while it also results an inert scalar triplet (η) responsible for dark matter. This is ensured by a Z_2 symmetry (assigned so that only ηis odd while all other multiplets which perform the economical 3-3-1 model are even), which is not broken by the vacuum. The minimal 3-3-1 model can provide a dark matter by a similar realization. Taking the former into account, we show that the dark matter candidate (H_η) contained in ηtransforms as a singlet in effective limit under the standard model symmetry and being naturally heavy. The H_ηrelic density and direct detection cross-section will get right values when the H_ηmass is in TeV range as expected. The model predicts the H_ηmass m_{H_η}=λ_5\times 2 TeV and the H_η-nucleon scattering cross-section σ_{H_η-N}=1.56\times 10^{-44} cm^2, provided that the new neutral Higgs boson is heavy enough than the dark matter.

Radion production in gamma-electron collisions

We analyze the potential of Compact Linear Colliders based on the γ-e collisions to search for the radion in the Randall-Sundrum model, where compactification radius of the extra dimension is stabilized by the radion, which is a scalar field lighter than the graviton Kaluza-Klein states. The radion production in the high energy γ-e colliders with the polarization of the electron beams are calculated in detail. Numerical evaluation shows that if the radion mass is not too heavy with the mass order of GeV then the reaction can give observable cross section in future colliders at the high degree of polarization.

Photon-radion conversion cross-sections in external electromagnetic field

An attempt is made to present some experimental predictions of the Randall-Sundrum model, where compactification radius of the extra dimension is stabilized by the radion, which is a scalar field lighter than the graviton Kaluza-Klein states. We calculate the conversion cross-sections of the photons into the radions in the external electromagnetic fields, namely, in the static fields and in a periodic field of the wave guide. Numerical evaluations of the total cross-sections are also given. Our result shows that the conversion cross-section in the static electric field is quite small. But, in the static magnetic and periodic fields, the radion productions are much enhanced.

The 3-3-1 model with S_4 flavor symmetry

We construct a 3-3-1 model based on family symmetry S_4 responsible for the neutrino and quark masses. The tribimaximal neutrino mixing and the diagonal quark mixing have been obtained. The new lepton charge \mathcal{L} related to the ordinary lepton charge L and a SU(3) charge by L=2/\sqrt{3} T_8+\mathcal{L} and the lepton parity P_l=(-)^L known as a residual symmetry of L have been introduced which provide insights in this kind of model. The expected vacuum alignments resulting in potential minimization can origin from appropriate violation terms of S_4 and \mathcal{L}. The smallness of seesaw contributions can be explained from the existence of such terms too. If P_l is not broken by the vacuum values of the scalar fields, there is no mixing between the exotic and the ordinary quarks at the tree level.

The 3-3-1 model with A_4 flavor symmetry

We argue that the A_4 symmetry as required by three flavors of fermions may well-embed in the SU(3)_C X SU(3)_L X U(1)_X gauge model. The new neutral fermion singlets as introduced in a canonical seesaw mechanism can be combined with the standard model lepton doublets to perform SU(3)_L triplets. Various leptoscalar multiplets such as singlets, doublets, and triplets as played in the models of A_4 are unified in single SU(3)_L antisextets. As a result, naturally light neutrinos with various kinds of mass hierarchies are obtained as a combination of type I and type II seesaw contributions. The observed neutrino mixing pattern in terms of the Harrison-Perkins-Scott proposal is obtained by enforcing of the A_4 group. The quark masses and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mixing matrix are also discussed. By virtue of very heavy antisextets the nature of the vacuum alignments of scalar fields can be given.

Candidates for dark matter in the ${SU}(3)_C {SU}(3)_L {U}(1)_N$ models

It has recently been pointed out that the 511 keV emission line detected by INTEGRAL/SPI from the bulge of our galaxy could be explained by annihilations of light dark matter particles into $e^+ e^-$. We present the possibility that dark matter could be made of scalar candidates, namely, of the Higgs bosons in the models based on ${SU}(3)_C\otimes {SU}(3)_L \otimes {U}(1)_N$ (3-3-1) gauge group. These particles are singlet of the ${SU}(2)_L \otimes {U}(1)_Y$ group, so they do not interact with the ordinary particles, exept the Higgs boson in the standard model. The Spergel-Steinhardt condition for self-interacting dark matter gives a bound on the mass of the candidates to be a few MeVs. Besides the scalar candidates, which exist in both non-SUSY and SUSY 3-3-1 models with right-handed neutrinos, the spin $\fr 1 2$ candidate exists in a variant 3-3-1 version with exotic neutral lepton. In contrast to the singlet models, where an extra symmetry must be imposed to account the stability of the dark matter, here the decay of the candidates is automatically forbidden in all orders of perturbative expansion. This is because of the following feature: these scalars are singlets, i.e., in bottom of the Higgs triplet. Therefore, the standard model fermions and the standard gauge bosons cannot couple with them.

Neutrino masses in the economical 3-3-1 model

We show that, in frameworks of the economical 3-3-1 model, the suitable pattern of neutrino masses arises from the three quite different sources - the lepton-number conserving, the spontaneous lepton-number breaking and the explicit lepton-number violating, widely ranging over the mass scales including the GUT one: $u\sim O(1) \mathrm{GeV}$, $v\approx 246 \mathrm{GeV}$, $\om\sim O(1) \mathrm{TeV}$ and $\mathcal{M}\sim \mathcal{O}(10^{16}) \mathrm{GeV}$. At the tree-level, the model contains three Dirac neutrinos: one massless, two large with degenerate masses in the order of the electron mass. At the one-loop level, the left-handed and right-handed neutrinos obtain Majorana masses $M_{L,R}$ in orders of $10^{-2}-10^{-3} \mathrm{eV}$ and degenerate in $M_R=-M_L$, while the Dirac masses get a large reduction down to $\mathrm{eV}$ scale through a finite mass renormalization. In this model, the contributions of new physics are strongly signified, the degenerations in the masses and the last hierarchy between the Majorana and Dirac masses can be completely removed by heavy particles. All the neutrinos get mass and can fit the data.

SU(3)_C X SU(3)_L X U(1)_X model with two Higgs triplets

The $SU(3)_C X SU(3)_L X U(1)_X$ gauge model with the minimal scalar sector (two Higgs triplets) is studied in detail. One of the vacuum expectation values $u$ is a source of lepton-number violations and a reason for the mixing among the charged gauge bosons - the standard model $W$ and the bilepton (with L=2) gauge bosons as well as among neutral non-Hermitian $X^0$ and neutral gauge bosons: the photon, the $Z$ and the new $Z'$. Because of these mixings, the lepton-number violating interactions exist in both charged and neutral gauge boson sectors. An exact diagonalization of the neutral gauge boson sector is derived and bilepton mass splitting is also given. The lepton-number violation happens only in the neutrino but not in the charged lepton sector. In this model, lepton-number changing ($ΔL = \pm 2$) processes exist but "only" in the neutrino sector. Constraints on VEVs of the model are estimated and $u \simeq \emph{O}(1) \textrm{GeV}$, $v \simeq v_{weak} = 246 \textrm{GeV}$ and $\om \simeq \emph{O}(1) \textrm{TeV}$.

Single Z' production at CLIC based on e^- gamma collisions

We analyze the potential of CLIC based on e- gamma collisions to search for new $Z'$ gauge boson. Single Z' production at e-gamma colliders in two SU(3)_C X SU(3)_L X U(1)_N models: the minimal model and the model with right-handed (RH) neutrinos is studied in detail. Results show that new Z' gauge bosons can be observed at the CLIC, and the cross sections in the model with RH neutrinos are bigger than those in the minimal one.

Bilepton production in electron-gamma collisions

We study the production of bileptons, new gauge boson of lepton number two, in the minimal 3 - 3 - 1 model in high energy electron - photon collisions. If the bilepton masses are in the range of 300 GeV the reaction will give observable cross-sections in the future colliders.
