Chaos dynamics of charged particles near Gibbons-Maeda-Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger black holes

The Gibbons-Maeda-Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger (GMGHS) dilatonic black hole, a key solution in low-energy string theory, exhibits previously unexplored chaotic dynamics for charged test particles under electromagnetic influence. While characterizing such chaos necessitates high-precision numerical solutions, our prior research confirms the explicit symplectic algorithm as the optimal numerical integration tool for strongly curved gravitational celestial systems. Leveraging the Hamiltonian formulation of the GMGHS black hole, we develop an optimized fourth-order symplectic algorithm $PR{K_6}4$. This algorithm enables a systematic investigation of the chaotic motion employing four distinct chaos indicators: Shannon entropy, Poincare sections, the maximum Lyapunov exponents, and the Fast Lyapunov indicators. Our results demonstrate a critical dependence of chaos on both electric charge ($Q$, characterized by the Coulomb parameter $Q^*$) and magnetic charge ($Q_m$). Specifically, in electrically charged backgrounds, order-to-chaos transitions arise with increasing $Q$ or decreasing $Q^*$. Conversely, in magnetically charged backgrounds, chaos emerges as $Q_m$ increases. These findings validate Shannon entropy as a robust chaos indicator within relativistic frameworks and provide novel insights on the dynamics of string-theoretic black holes.

Chaotic motion of the charged test particle in a Kerr-MOG black hole with explicit symplectic algorithms

The Kerr-MOG black hole has recently attracted significant research attention and has been extensively applied in various fields. To accurately characterize the long-term dynamical evolution of charged particles around Kerr-MOG black hole, it is essential to utilize numerical algorithms that are high-precision, stable, and capable of preserving the inherent physical structural properties. In this study, we employ explicit symplectic algorithms combined with the Hamiltonian splitting technique to numerically solve the equations of motion for charged particles. Initially, by decomposing the Hamiltonian into five integrable components, three distinct explicit symplectic algorithms ($S2$, $S4$, and $PR{K_6}4$) are constructed. Numerical experiments reveal that the $PR{K_6}4$ algorithm achieves superior accuracy. Subsequently, we utilize Poincaré sections and the Fast Lyapunov Indicator (FLI) to investigate the dynamic evolution of the particle. Our numerical results demonstrate that the energy $E$, angular momentum $L$, magnetic field parameter $β$, black hole spin parameter $a$, and MOG parameter $α$ all significantly influence the particle's motion. Specifically, the chaotic region expands with increases in $E$, $β$, or $α$, but contracts with increases in $a$ or $L$. Furthermore, when any two of these five parameters are varied simultaneously, it becomes evident that $a$ and $L$ predominantly dictate the system's behavior. This study not only offers novel insights into the chaotic dynamics associated with Kerr-MOG black holes but also extends the application of symplectic algorithms in strong gravitational field.

Chaotic dynamics of string around the conformal black hole

In this paper, we make a systematical and in-depth study on the chaotic dynamics of the string around the conformal black hole. Depending on the characteristic parameter of the conformal black hole and the initial position of the string, there are three kinds of dynamical behaviors: ordered, chaotic and being captured, chaotic but not being captured. A particular interesting observation is that there is a sharp transition in chaotic dynamics when the black hole horizon disappears, which is indepent of the initial position of the string. It provides a possible way to probe the horizon structure of the massive body. We also examine the generalized MSS (Maldacena, Shenker and Stanford) inequality, which is proposed in holographic dual field theory, and find that the generalized MSS inequality holds even in the asymptotically flat black hole background. Especially, as the initial position of the string approaches the black hole horizon, the Lyapunov exponent also approaches the upper bound of the generalized MSS inequality.

A new correction method for quasi-Keplerian orbits

A pure two-body problem has seven integrals including the Kepler energy, the Laplace vector, and the angular momentum vector. However, only five of them are independent. When the five independent integrals are preserved, the two other dependent integrals are naturally preserved from a theoretical viewpoint; but they may not be either from a numerical computational viewpoint. Because of this, we use seven scale factors to adjust the integrated positions and velocities so that the adjusted solutions strictly satisfy the seven constraints. Noticing the existence of the two dependent integrals, we adopt the Newton iterative method combined with the singular value decomposition to calculate these factors. This correction scheme can be applied to perturbed two-body and N-body problems in the solar system. In this case, the seven quantities of each planet slowly vary with time. More accurate values can be given to the seven slowly-varying quantities by integrating the integral invariant relations of these quantities and the equations of motion. They should be satisfied with the adjusted solutions. Numerical tests show that the new method can significantly reduce the rapid growth of numerical errors of all orbital elements.

Chaotic dynamics of string around charged black brane with hyperscaling violation

By fast Lyapunov indicator (FLI), we study the chaotic dynamics of closed string around charged black brane with hyperscaling violation (HV). The Hawking temperature, Lifshitz dynamical exponent and HV exponent together affect the chaotic dynamics of this system. The temperature plays the role of driving the closed string to escape to infinity. There is a threshold value $z_{\ast}=2$, below which the string is captured by the black brane no matter where the string is placed at the beginning. However, when $z>2$, the string escapes to infinity if it is placed near the black brane at the beginning, but if the initial position of string is far away from the black brane, it oscillates around the black brane till eternity, which is a quasi-periodic motion. HV exponent plays the role of driving the string falling into the black brane. With the increase of HV exponent $θ$, the falling velocity becomes faster. We find that when we heat the system with large HV exponent, the chaotic system does not essentially changes. It indicates that the HV exponent plays a very important role in determining the state of the chaotic system. Also we study the the effect from the winding number of the string. The study indicates that the chaotic dynamics of the string is insensitive to the winding number.

Chaos from the ring string in Gauss-Bonnet black hole in $AdS_5$ space

By the Poincare sections, the dynamical behaviors of the ring string in the AdS-Gauss-Bonnet (AdS-GB) black hole are studied. A threshold value of the Gauss-Bonnet (GB) parameter $λ$ are found by the numerical method, below which the behavior of this dynamical system is no-chaotic and above which the behavior becomes gradually chaotic. The chaotic behavior becomes stronger with the increases of GB parameter. It is different from the case in the AdS-Schwarzschild black hole, which is weakly chaotic. Furthermore, we confirm our findings by the Fast Lyapunov indicators.

The Stückelberg Holographic Superconductors with Weyl corrections

In this letter we construct the Stückelberg holographic superconductor with Weyl corrections. Under such corrections, the Weyl coupling parameter $γ$ plays an important role in the order of phase transitions and the critical exponents of second order phase transitions. So do the model parameters $c_α$, $α$ and $c_{4}$. Moreover, we show that the Weyl coupling parameter $γ$ and the model parameters $c_α$, $α$, $c_{4}$ which together control the size and strength of the conductivity coherence peak and the ratio of gap frequency over critical temperature $ω_{g}/T_{c}$.

Quintessence reconstruction of the new agegraphic dark energy model

In this paper we implement the new agegraphic dark energy model with quintessence field. We demonstrate that the new agegraphic evolution of the universe can be described completely by a single quintessence field. Its potential as a function of the quintessence field is reconstructed numerically. In particular, the analytical solution of the new agegraphic quintessence dark energy model (NAQDE) is approximately obtained in the matter-dominated epoch. Furthermore, we investigate the evolution of the NAQDE model in the $ω-ω'$ phase plane. It turns out that by quantum corrections, the trajectory of this model lies outside the thawing and freezing regions at early times. But at late times, it enters the freezing regions and gradually approaches to a static cosmological constant state in the future. Therefore the NAQDE should belong to the freezing model at late times. For comparison, we further extend this model by including the interaction between the NADE and DM and discuss its evolution in the $ω-ω'$ phase plane.
