Differential equations associated with Legendre polynomials

In this paper, we study non-linear differential equations associated with Legendre polynomials and their applications. From our study of non- linear differential equations, we derive some new and explicit identities for Legendre polynomials.

Differential equations for Changhee polynomials and their applications

Recently, the non-linear Changhee differential equations were introduced in [5] and these differential equations turned out to be very useful for studying special polynomials and mathematical physics. Some interesting identities and properties of Changhee polynomials can also be derived from umbral calculus (see [7]). In this paper, we consider differential equations arising from Changhee polynomials and derive some new and explicit formulae and identities from our differential equations.

A note on degenerate Bell numbers and polynomials

Recently, several authors have studied the degenerate Bernoulli and Euler polynomials and given some intersting identities of those polynomials. In this paper, we consider the degenerate Bell numbers and polynomials and derive some new identities of those numbers and polynomials associated with special numbers and polynomials. In addition, we investigate some properties of the degenerate Bell polynomials which are derived by using the notion of composita. From our investigation, we give some new relations between the degenerate Bell polynomials and the special polynomials.

Higher-order cauchy numbers and polynomials

Recently, Komatsu introduced the concept of poly-Cauchy numbers and polynomials which generalize Cauchy numbers and polynomials. In this paper, we consider the new concept of higher-order Cauchy numbers and polynomials which generalize Cauchy numbers and polynomials in different direction and investigate some properties of those new class of numbers and polynomials. From our investigation, we derive some identities involving higher-order Cauchy numbers and polynomials, which generalize some rela- tions between two kinds of Cauchy polynomials and some identities for Cauchy numbers and Stirling numbers.

Hermite and poly-Bernoulli mixed-type polynomials

In this paper, we consider Hermite and poly-Bernoulli mixed-type polynomials and investigate the properties of those polynomials which are derived from umbral calculus. Finally, we give various identities associated with Stirling numbers, Bernoulli and Frobenius-Euler polynomials of higher order.

q-Bernoulli polynomials and q-umbral calculus

In this paper, we investigate some properties of q-Bernoulli polynomi- als arising from q-umbral calculus. Finally, we derive some interesting identities of q-Bernoulli polynomials from our investigation.
