AsySplat: Efficient Asymmetric 3D Gaussian Splatting for Long-Sequence Scene Modeling

Recent generalizable 3D Gaussian Splatting models have advanced long-sequence novel view synthesis (NVS), but at the cost of substantial redundant computation. We identify that the redundancy can be mitigated based on two observations: (i) high-precision geometry is not strictly required for high-quality NVS; (ii) appearance learning is generally easier than geometry recovery. Motivated by these insights, we propose an asymmetric architecture that decouples geometry and appearance modeling. The geometry branch processes coarse-grained tokens with most of the parameters for multi-view reconstruction, while the appearance branch operates on fine-grained tokens to capture details using significantly fewer parameters. The two branches interact through bilateral connections, enabling mutual guidance for their respective tasks. This task-aware asymmetry reduces the computational redundancy and allocates the computation more judiciously, thereby increasing parameter efficiency and enabling smaller models to achieve strong performance. On 32-view 960P inputs, our model matches optimization-based methods while delivering nearly 800x speedup, and surpasses the zero-shot performance of state-of-the-art generalizable models with markedly fewer parameters and reduced training/inference overhead, achieving an overall efficiency improvement.

PVCap: Towards Accurate 3D Dense Captioning via PseudoCap and VoxelCapNet

3D dense captioning, an emerging vision-language task, aims to generate descriptive sentences for each object in the 3D scene. Despite the impressive results achieved by previous methods, they suffer from two limitations. First, current research often employs global rigid transformations, such as rotation, to augment scenes without changing their spatial layouts. However, diverse spatial layouts are crucial for training a 3D dense captioning model to describe spatial relations between objects. Second, previous works mainly focus on the design of the caption generation pipeline while utilizing a simple network architecture for other components, i.e., backbone and detection head, which is crucial for extracting rich semantic information for captioning. In this paper, we propose PVCap to alleviate the aforementioned problems. Our PVCap consists of PseudoCap and VoxelCapNet. Specifically, PseudoCap employs a random mixing technique on instances within the dataset, generating numerous pseudo frames with diverse spatial layouts at the instance level. By utilizing a teacher-student framework, PseudoCap obtains pseudo caption labels for these pseudo frames. This data augmentation approach significantly increases the number of training samples and enhances the model's ability to describe the environment effectively. Regarding VoxelCapNet, we introduce a robust caption network that utilizes voxel features and adapts the caption head to the voxel-based network architecture. Our VoxelCapNet can serve as a competitive baseline for future research on 3D dense captioning. Extensive experiments are conducted on two prevalent benchmarks, i.e., ScanRefer and Nr3D. Notably, our method surpasses current state-of-the-art by 11.41% and 13.99% in CIDEr@0.5IoU, respectively. Codes will be made publicly available.

Learning Structured Visual Compositional Representations for Weakly Supervised Referring Expression Comprehension

Referring expression comprehension (REC) aims to localize the object in an image described by natural language. In Weakly supervised REC (WREC), existing approaches primarily operate on anchor-level visual representations. Even when enriched with auxiliary cues, relational interactions remain implicitly encoded within individual anchor features. The resulting visual representation remains flat and unary-only, limiting its ability to align with the structured nature of language. In this work, we propose a Structured Visual Compositional Representation (SVCR) learning framework for WREC. Rather than implicitly encoding relations within unary anchors, the proposed SVCR explicitly models both unary object embeddings and pairwise relational embeddings, forming a structured visual representation space. We further introduce a compositional alignment mechanism that matches unary and pairwise visual representations with their corresponding textual embeddings in a unified manner, enabling compositional visual-textual matching under weak supervision. Extensive experiments on RefCOCO, RefCOCO+, and RefCOCOg show that the proposed SVCR achieves state-of-the-art performance. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of explicit structured visual representations and visual-textual alignment for WREC.

UniGP: Taming Diffusion Transformer for Prior-Preserved Unified Generation and Perception

Recent advances in diffusion models have shown impressive performance in controllable image generation and dense prediction tasks. However, existing approaches typically treat diffusion-based controllable generation and dense prediction as separate tasks, overlooking the potential benefits of jointly modeling the heterogeneous distributions. In this work, we introduce UniGP, a framework built upon MMDiT, which unifies controllable generation and dense prediction through simple joint training, without the need for complex task-specific designs or losses, while preserving the backbone's versatile priors. By learning controllable generation and prediction under different conditions, our model effectively captures the joint distribution of image-geometry pairs. UniGP is capable of versatile controllable generation, dense prediction, and joint generation. Specifically, the proposed UniGP consists of DUGP and a unified dataset training strategy. The former, following the principle of Occam's razor, uses only a copied image branch of MMDiT to model dense distributions beyond RGB, while the latter integrates heterogeneous datasets into a unified training framework to jointly model generation and perception tasks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our unified model surpasses prior unified approaches and performs on par with specialized methods. Furthermore, we demonstrate that multi-task joint training provides complementary benefits: generative priors enrich perceptual details, while perceptual learning improves structural alignment in generation.

Dynamic Parsing and Updating Natural Language Specification using VLMs for Robust Vision-Language Tracking

Vision-language tracking guided by natural language specifications leverages high-level semantic cues of target objects to substantially boost tracking accuracy and robustness. Existing studies have verified that adaptively optimizing textual descriptions throughout the tracking process can effectively mitigate the semantic-visual mismatch induced by dynamic variations in target appearance, position, and other inherent attributes. Nevertheless, mainstream methods that directly generate textual information via sequence models or large language models inevitably suffer from inherent defects, including erroneous target updating, excessive background distraction, and pervasive hallucination artifacts. To address the aforementioned limitations, this paper proposes a novel language dependency parsing mechanism to precisely distill core tracking principal components, encompassing target objects, semantic concepts, and background contextual information. On this basis, we perform component-aware adaptive textual description updates by exploiting the powerful cross-modal understanding capability of the pre-trained vision-language model Qwen-VL. By integrating the proposed elaborately designed modules into the baseline framework, our method achieves consistent and superior tracking performance on multiple large-scale vision-language tracking benchmarks, including TNL2K, LaSOT, TNLLT, and OTB-LANG. The source code and pre-trained models will be released at https://github.com/Event-AHU/Open_VLTrack.

Designing Reward Signals for Portable Query Generation: A Case Study in Industrial Semantic Job Search

Job-search platforms rely on low-bandwidth query interfaces that often fail to capture the high-dimensional complexity of candidate profiles. We present an end-to-end RLAIF (Reinforcement Learning from AI Feedback) framework to generate \emph{portable} job search queries, terms that abstract away seeker-specific identifiers while preserving generalizable qualifications. This task introduces a highly adversarial reward surface where policy optimization frequently exploits flaws in LLM-as-judge rubrics, resulting in degenerate verbatim-copying behaviors. We conducted comprehensive empirical experiments to isolate the impact of optimization mechanics against structured reward engineering. Our results demonstrate that for critic-free optimizers, performance is overwhelmingly dictated by robust reward shaping, rendering the specific choice of algorithm largely immaterial. While critic-free per-rollout baseline methods (RLOO and REINFORCE++) natively resist reward-hacking, the group-relative advantage normalization in GRPO appears uniquely sensitive to spurious reward signals, making it disproportionately susceptible to exploitation. We show that introducing a deterministic, rule-based reward floor to correct for rewards assigned to verbatim copying mitigates this failure mode, resulting in a substantial $+0.147$ quality improvement on a cross-family evaluation judge. Ultimately, we show that the training-time reward model inflates performance gains by $2.4\times$, confirming that the training success is fundamentally dependent on enforcing reward-shaping disciplines rather than selecting alternative optimizers.

Unified Semantic Modeling Framework for Large-Scale Job Understanding at LinkedIn

Job understanding is critical to LinkedIn's mission of connecting talent with opportunity. This task involves transforming unstructured and noisy job postings into standardized or derived job attributes that power numerous LinkedIn products. However, building a scalable, cost-efficient, and high-performing job understanding system remains challenging. In this paper, we present a unified semantic modeling framework powered by a small language model (SLM) to address the challenges. We begin by fine-tuning an open-source SLM using a suite of carefully curated synthetic tasks augmented with reasoning traces. These tasks jointly target taxonomy-guided classification and taxonomy-agnostic entity extraction. This allows the resulting model to acquire robust zero-shot generalization for job understanding in structured and unstructured contexts. Building upon this foundation, we introduce a multi-adapter architecture with attribute grouping to facilitate efficient task-specific adaptation while streamlining model management across diverse downstream attributes. Offline evaluations and online A/B tests demonstrate significant performance improvement while reducing operational complexity. Our work provides practical insights into building industry-scale text understanding systems.

SkelHCC: A Hyperbolic CLIP-Driven Cache Adaptation Framework for Skeleton-based One-Shot Action Recognition

Skeleton-based action recognition aims to understand human behaviors from body joint sequences and is especially challenging in the one-shot setting, where only a single labeled exemplar is available for each novel action. A key challenge is learning representations that capture the hierarchical and compositional structure of human motion while aligning effectively with high-level action semantics under extreme data scarcity. Existing approaches, largely based on Euclidean embeddings and low-level motion cues, struggle to model the tree-like organization of skeleton data, limiting cross-modal alignment and generalization to unseen action categories. We propose SkelHCC, a unified skeleton hyperbolic CLIP-driven cache adaptation framework for one-shot skeleton-based action recognition. SkelHCC introduces an Explicitly Hierarchical Hyperbolic CLIP (EH-HCLIP) module that embeds skeleton sequences and action language into a shared hyperbolic space. By leveraging the negative curvature and exponential volume growth of hyperbolic geometry, EH-HCLIP naturally encodes the joint-part-body hierarchy of human anatomy and yields structurally consistent cross-modal representations. To support efficient one-shot adaptation, SkelHCC further integrates a training-free LLM-guided Multi-granularity Voting Cache (LMV-Cache) for context-aware inference. Experiments on NTU RGB+D 60, NTU RGB+D 120, and PKU-MMD demonstrate that SkelHCC consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

Quantum light source with lithium tantalate for scalable photonic quantum circuits

Thin-film lithium tantalate (TFLT) has emerged as a promising integrated photonic platform owing to its low photorefractive noise, high optical damage threshold, and reduced birefringence, attracting increasing interest for scalable photonic technologies. Here, to the best of our knowledge, we demonstrate the first quantum light source with TFLT via spontaneous four-wave mixing, bridging the gap between the rapidly advancing classical TFLT ecosystem and integrated quantum photonics. The fabricated microring exhibits a free spectral range of 350~GHz and an optical quality factor of $10^6$, enabling efficient cavity-enhanced nonlinear interactions. Correlated photon pairs are generated across the telecom band from 1510 to 1570~nm, with a photon pair generation rate of 24 $\mathrm{MHz/mW^{2}}$ at a wavelength of 1535.04 nm. The source delivers strongly antibunched heralded single photons with $g^{(2)}_{H}(0)=0.071\pm0.004$ at a heralding rate of 170 kHz, while the unheralded statistics yield $g^{(2)}(0)=1.93 \pm 0.05$, indicating near-single-temporal-mode emission. Energy-time entanglement is further confirmed by a raw two-photon interference visibility of $92.55\pm0.94\%$, well above the Bell-inequality violation threshold. These results establish TFLT as a manufacturing-compatible platform for scalable photonic quantum circuits, paving the way for the monolithic co-integration of classical and quantum photonic functionalities.

A Unified Structured Query Understanding Framework for Industrial Semantic Search

Query understanding in large-scale industrial search systems is typically implemented as a cascade of disparate, task-specific components. While individually optimizable, this fragmented architecture incurs high maintenance overhead and results in inconsistent behaviors, particularly for long-tail queries. In this work, we propose and deploy a unified structured query understanding system that consolidates these heterogeneous functions into a single Small Language Model (SLM) that performs schema-constrained generation. To address the data bottlenecks inherent in unified modeling, we introduce Query Illuminator, a dual-purpose framework serving as: (i) a teacher model for high-quality auto-annotation and distillation, and (ii) a surrogate judge for scalable evaluation where human labels are scarce. We validate this approach through extensive offline and online tests within LinkedIn's Job Search system. Furthermore, we demonstrate the framework's horizontal extensibility through a cross-domain case study on People Search. The results show improved user engagement and reduced operational costs, achieved while satisfying strict low-latency serving constraints on limited GPU resources.

Echo4DIR: 4D Implicit Heart Reconstruction from 2D Echocardiography Videos

Reconstructing 4D (3D+t) cardiac geometry from sparse 2D echocardiography is highly desirable yet fundamentally challenged by geometric ambiguity and temporal discontinuity. To tackle these issues, we propose Echo4DIR, a novel test-time 4D implicit reconstruction framework. Specifically, we learn robust 3D shape priors from statistical shape models (SSMs) via a cardiac conditional SDF, constructing an Epipolar Mask Encoder module with epipolar cross attention to effectively fuse multi-view features. To bridge the synthetic-to-real domain gap, we introduce a self-supervised SDF-tailored differentiable rendering strategy for patient-specific 3D shape adaptation using uncalibrated clinical masks without requiring 3D ground truth. Crucially, the inherent continuity of implicit representation overcomes sparse observations, enabling anatomically reliable geometry at arbitrary resolutions. Furthermore, to empower our framework with physically continuous 4D extension, we introduce a Radial SDF Alignment strategy that strictly locks shape evolution to the predicted velocity field, fundamentally eliminating mesh drift. Extensive experiments on synthetic benchmarks and real clinical datasets demonstrate that Echo4DIR achieves state-of-the-art 4D cardiac mesh reconstruction, notably yielding an impressive clinical overlap of up to 98.35% Dice and 96.75% IoU.

LVDrive: Latent Visual Representation Enhanced Vision-Language-Action Autonomous Driving Model

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have emerged as a promising framework for end-to-end autonomous driving. However, existing VLAs typically rely on sparse action supervision, which underutilizes their powerful scene understanding and reasoning capabilities. Recent attempts to incorporate dense visual supervision via world modeling often overemphasize pixel-level image reconstruction, neglecting semantically meaningful scene representation learning. In this work, we propose LVDrive, a Latent Visual representation enhanced VLA framework for autonomous driving. LVDrive introduces a future scene prediction task into the VLA paradigm, where future representations are learned entirely in a high-level latent space under auxiliary supervision from a pretrained vision backbone. Departing from inefficient autoregressive generation, we jointly model future scene and motion prediction within a unified embedding space, processed in a single forward pass to conduct the future-aware reasoning. We further design a two-stage trajectory decoding strategy that explicitly leverages the learned latent future representations to refine trajectory generation. Extensive experiments on the challenging Bench2Drive benchmark demonstrate that LVDrive achieves significant improvements in closed-loop driving performance, outperforming both action supervised methods and image-reconstruction-based world model approaches.

Closed Loop Dynamic Driving Data Mixture for Real-Synthetic Co-Training

Data scaling is fundamental to modern deep learning, and grows increasingly critical as autonomous driving shifts to end-to-end learning. Real-world driving data is expensive to annotate and scene-biased, making real-synthetic co-training with near-infinite synthetic data a promising direction. However, naively incorporating all available synthetic data is inefficient and leads to distribution shifts, and optimizing data mixture under practical training budgets remains a critical yet under-explored problem. In this sense, we claim that the mixture of training data requires clear guidance in terms of scene types and quantities. Particularly in this work, we conceptualize the data mixture approximately as a dynamic optimization process that iteratively adjusts the training data mixture to maximize model performance, guided by closed-loop evaluation feedback, and propose AutoScale, a fully automated closed-loop data engine unifying scene representation, data mixture optimization and retrieval, as well as model training and evaluation. Specifically, we propose Graph Regularized AutoEncoder (Graph-RAE) for driving scene representations, introduce Cluster-aware Gradient Ascent (Cluster-GA) for cluster-wise importance estimation and reweighting, and perform cluster-guided vector retrieval to select high-value samples. Experiments on NavSim demonstrate that AutoScale outperforms vanilla co-training and cross-domain baselines, achieving better performance with fewer synthetic samples under constrained budgets.

Policy-Grounded Dynamic Facet Suggestions for Job Search

Job seekers often initiate search with short, underspecified queries. At LinkedIn, over 80% of job-related queries contain three or fewer keywords, making accurate user intent inference and relevant job retrieval particularly challenging. We present dynamic facet suggestion (DFS), an interactive query refinement mechanism that facilitates intent disambiguation by surfacing personalized semantic attributes conditioned on the joint user-query context in real time. We propose a policy-grounded, retrieval-augmented ranking framework for facet suggestion, comprising offline taxonomy curation, embedding-based retrieval of top-K candidates, and distilled small language model (SLM) based candidate scoring. The system is optimized for real-time serving via pointwise single-token scoring with batching and prefix caching. Offline evaluation demonstrates high precision for generated suggestions, and online A/B tests show significant improvements in suggestion engagement and job search outcomes.

UniFunc3D: Unified Active Spatial-Temporal Grounding for 3D Functionality Segmentation

Functionality segmentation in 3D scenes requires an agent to ground implicit natural-language instructions into precise masks of fine-grained interactive elements. Existing methods rely on fragmented pipelines that suffer from visual blindness during initial task parsing. We observe that these methods are limited by single-scale, passive and heuristic frame selection. We present UniFunc3D, a unified and training-free framework that treats the multimodal large language model as an active observer. By consolidating semantic, temporal, and spatial reasoning into a single forward pass, UniFunc3D performs joint reasoning to ground task decomposition in direct visual evidence. Our approach introduces active spatial-temporal grounding with a coarse-to-fine strategy. This allows the model to select correct video frames adaptively and focus on high-detail interactive parts while preserving the global context necessary for disambiguation. On SceneFun3D, UniFunc3D achieves state-of-the-art performance, surpassing both training-free and training-based methods by a large margin with a relative 59.9\% mIoU improvement, without any task-specific training. Code will be released on our project page: https://jiaying.link/unifunc3d.

OnlinePG: Online Open-Vocabulary Panoptic Mapping with 3D Gaussian Splatting

Open-vocabulary scene understanding with online panoptic mapping is essential for embodied applications to perceive and interact with environments. However, existing methods are predominantly offline or lack instance-level understanding, limiting their applicability to real-world robotic tasks. In this paper, we propose OnlinePG, a novel and effective system that integrates geometric reconstruction and open-vocabulary perception using 3D Gaussian Splatting in an online setting. Technically, to achieve online panoptic mapping, we employ an efficient local-to-global paradigm with a sliding window. To build local consistency map, we construct a 3D segment clustering graph that jointly leverages geometric and semantic cues, fusing inconsistent segments within sliding window into complete instances. Subsequently, to update the global map, we construct explicit grids with spatial attributes for the local 3D Gaussian map and fuse them into the global map via robust bidirectional bipartite 3D Gaussian instance matching. Finally, we utilize the fused VLM features inside the 3D spatial attribute grids to achieve open-vocabulary scene understanding. Extensive experiments on widely used datasets demonstrate that our method achieves better performance among online approaches, while maintaining real-time efficiency.

CARE-Edit: Condition-Aware Routing of Experts for Contextual Image Editing

Unified diffusion editors often rely on a fixed, shared backbone for diverse tasks, suffering from task interference and poor adaptation to heterogeneous demands (e.g., local vs global, semantic vs photometric). In particular, prevalent ControlNet and OmniControl variants combine multiple conditioning signals (e.g., text, mask, reference) via static concatenation or additive adapters which cannot dynamically prioritize or suppress conflicting modalities, thus resulting in artifacts like color bleeding across mask boundaries, identity or style drift, and unpredictable behavior under multi-condition inputs. To address this, we propose Condition-Aware Routing of Experts (CARE-Edit) that aligns model computation with specific editing competencies. At its core, a lightweight latent-attention router assigns encoded diffusion tokens to four specialized experts--Text, Mask, Reference, and Base--based on multi-modal conditions and diffusion timesteps: (i) a Mask Repaint module first refines coarse user-defined masks for precise spatial guidance; (ii) the router applies sparse top-K selection to dynamically allocate computation to the most relevant experts; (iii) a Latent Mixture module subsequently fuses expert outputs, coherently integrating semantic, spatial, and stylistic information to the base images. Experiments validate CARE-Edit's strong performance on contextual editing tasks, including erasure, replacement, text-driven edits, and style transfer. Empirical analysis further reveals task-specific behavior of specialized experts, showcasing the importance of dynamic, condition-aware processing to mitigate multi-condition conflicts.

Holi-Spatial: Evolving Video Streams into Holistic 3D Spatial Intelligence

The pursuit of spatial intelligence fundamentally relies on access to large-scale, fine-grained 3D data. However, existing approaches predominantly construct spatial understanding benchmarks by generating question-answer (QA) pairs from a limited number of manually annotated datasets, rather than systematically annotating new large-scale 3D scenes from raw web data. As a result, their scalability is severely constrained, and model performance is further hindered by domain gaps inherent in these narrowly curated datasets. In this work, we propose Holi-Spatial, the first fully automated, large-scale, spatially-aware multimodal dataset, constructed from raw video inputs without human intervention, using the proposed data curation pipeline. Holi-Spatial supports multi-level spatial supervision, ranging from geometrically accurate 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) reconstructions with rendered depth maps to object-level and relational semantic annotations, together with corresponding spatial Question-Answer (QA) pairs. Following a principled and systematic pipeline, we further construct Holi-Spatial-4M, the first large-scale, high-quality 3D semantic dataset, containing 12K optimized 3DGS scenes, 1.3M 2D masks, 320K 3D bounding boxes, 320K instance captions, 1.2M 3D grounding instances, and 1.2M spatial QA pairs spanning diverse geometric, relational, and semantic reasoning tasks. Holi-Spatial demonstrates exceptional performance in data curation quality, significantly outperforming existing feed-forward and per-scene optimized methods on datasets such as ScanNet, ScanNet++, and DL3DV. Furthermore, fine-tuning Vision-Language Models (VLMs) on spatial reasoning tasks using this dataset has also led to substantial improvements in model performance.
