Uniform Steiner bundles on $\mathbb{P}^n$ and reflection functors

Let $n \in \mathbb{N}_{\geq 2}$. We prove that for every $k \geq 4$ there exist uniform but non-homogeneous Steiner bundles on $\mathbb{P}^n$ of $k$-type with disconnected splitting type, and we further investigate almost-uniform Steiner bundles. Our approach relies on interpreting Steiner bundles as relative projective Kronecker representations and applying adjoint pairs arising from restriction, inflation, and reflection functors.

Shift orbits for elementary representations of Kronecker quivers

Let $r \in \mathbb{N}_{\geq 3}$. We denote by $K_r$ the wild $r$-Kronecker quiver with $r$ arrows $\gamma_i \colon 1 \to 2$ and consider the action of the group $G_r \subseteq \mathrm{Aut}(\mathbb{Z}^2)$ generated by $\delta \colon \mathbb{Z}\to \mathbb{Z}, (x,y) \mapsto (y,x)$ and $\sigma_{r} \colon \mathbb{Z} \to \mathbb{Z}, (x,y) \mapsto (rx-y,x)$ on the set of regular dimension vectors \[\mathcal{R} = \{ (x,y) \in \mathbb{N}^2 \mid x^2 + y^2 - rxy < 1\}.\] A fundamental domain of this action is given by $\mathcal{F}_r := \{ (x,y) \in \mathbb{N}^2 \mid \frac{2}{r} x \leq y \leq x \}$. We show that $(x,y) \in \mathcal{F}_r$ is the dimension vector of an elementary representation if and only if \[y \leq \min \{ \lfloor \frac{x}{r} \rfloor+\frac{x}{\lfloor \frac{x}{r} \rfloor} - r, \lceil \frac{x}{r} \rceil -\frac{x}{\lceil \frac{x}{r} \rceil} +r,r-1\},\] where we interpret $\lfloor \frac{x}{r} \rfloor+\frac{x}{\lfloor \frac{x}{r} \rfloor} - r$ as $\infty$ for $1 \leq x < r$. In this case we also identify the set of elementary representations as a dense open subset of the irreducible variety of representations with dimension vector $(x,y)$. A complete combinatorial description of elementary representations for $r = 3$ has been given by Ringel. We show that such a compact description is out of reach when we consider $r \geq 4$, altough the representation theory of $K_3$ is as difficult as the representation theory of $K_r$ for $r \geq 4$.

Representations of Kronecker quivers and Steiner bundles on Grassmannians

Let $\mathbb{k}$ be an algebraically closed field. Connections between representations of the generalized Kronecker quivers $K_r$ and vector bundles on $\mathbb{P}^{r-1}$ have been known for quite some time. This article is concerned with a particular aspect of this correspondence, involving more generally Steiner bundles on Grassmannians $\mathrm{Gr}_d(\mathbb{k}^r)$ and certain full subcategories $\mathrm{rep}_{\mathrm{proj}}(K_r,d)$ of relative projective $K_r$-representations. Building on a categorical equivalence first explicitly established by Jardim and Prata, we employ representation-theoretic techniques provided by Auslander-Reiten theory and reflection functors to organize indecomposable Steiner bundles in a manner that facilitates the study of bundles enjoying certain properties such as uniformity and homogeneity. Conversely, computational results on Steiner bundles motivate investigations in $\mathrm{rep}_{\mathrm{proj}}(K_r,d)$, which elicit the conceptual sources of some recent work on the subject. From a purely representation-theoretic vantage point, our paper initiates the investigation of certain full subcategories of the, for $r\!\ge\!3$, wild category of $K_r$-representations. These may be characterized as being right Hom-orthogonal to certain algebraic families of elementary test modules.

Dimension vectors with the equal kernels property

Let $r \in \mathbb N$, $\Gamma_r$ be the generalized Kronecker quiver with $r$ arrows $\gamma_1,\ldots,\gamma_r \colon 1 \to 2$ and $\delta \in \Delta_+(\Gamma_r)$ be a positive root of $\Gamma_r$. We say that $\delta$ has the equal kernels property if for all $\alpha \in k^r \setminus \{0\}$ and every indecomposable representation $M$ with dimension vector $\underline{dim} M = \delta$ the $k$-linear map $M^\alpha := \sum^r_{i=1} \alpha_i M(\gamma_i) \colon M_1 \to M_2$ is injective. We show that $\delta$ has the equal kernels property if and only if $q_{\Gamma_r}(\delta) + \delta_2 - \delta_1 \geq 1$, where $q_{\Gamma_r} \colon \mathbb Z^2 \to \mathbb Z, (x,y) \mapsto x^2 + y^2 - rxy$ denotes the Tits quadratic form of $\Gamma_r$.

Indecomposable Jordan types of Loewy length $2$

Let $k$ be an algebraically closed field, $\mathop{char}(k) = p \geq 2$ and $E_r$ be a $p$-elementary abelian group of rank $r \geq 2$. Let $(c,d) \in \mathbb{N}^2$. We show that there exists an indecomposable module of constant Jordan type $[1]^c [2]^d$ and Loewy length $2$ if and only if $q_{\Gamma_r}(d,d+c) \leq 1$ and $c \geq r-1$, where $q_{\Gamma_r}(x,y) := x^2 + y^2-rxy$ denotes the Tits form of the generalized Kronecker quiver $\Gamma_r$. Since $p > 2$ and constant Jordan type $[1]^c [2]^d$ imply Loewy length $\leq 2$, we get in this case the full classification of Jordan types $[1]^c [2]^d$ that arise from indecomposable modules.

Representations of regular trees and invariants of AR-components for generalized Kronecker quivers

We investigate the generalized Kronecker algebra $\mathcal{K}_r = k\Gamma_r$ with $r \geq 3$ arrows. Given a regular component $\mathcal{C}$ of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of $\mathcal{K}_r$, we show that the quasi-rank $rk(\mathcal{C}) \in \mathbb{Z}_{\leq 1}$ can be described almost exactly as the distance $\mathcal{W}(\mathcal{C}) \in \mathbb{N}_0$ between two non-intersecting cones in $\mathcal{C}$, given by modules with the equal images and the equal kernels property; more precisley, we show that the two numbers are linked by the inequality \[ -\mathcal{W}(\mathcal{C}) \leq rk(\mathcal{C}) \leq - \mathcal{W}(\mathcal{C}) + 3.\] Utilizing covering theory, we construct for each $n \in \mathbb{N}_0$ a bijection $\varphi_n$ between the field $k$ and $\{ \mathcal{C} \mid \mathcal{C} \ \text{regular component}, \ \mathcal{W}(\mathcal{C}) = n \}$. As a consequence, we get new results about the number of regular components of a fixed quasi-rank.

Representations of constant socle rank for the Kronecker algebra

Inspired by recent work of Carlson, Friedlander and Pevtsova concerning modules for $p$-elementary abelian groups $E_r$ of rank $r$ over a field of characteristic $p > 0$, we introduce the notions of modules with constant $d$-radical rank and modules with constant $d$-socle rank for the generalized Kronecker algebra $\mathcal{K}_r = k\Gamma_r$ with $r \geq 2$ arrows and $1 \leq d \leq r-1$. We study subcategories given by modules with the equal $d$-radical property and the equal $d$-socle property. Utilizing the Simplification method due to Ringel, we prove that these subcategories in $\mathrm{mod} \ \mathcal{K}_r$ are of wild type. Then we use a natural functor $\mathfrak{F} \colon \mathrm{mod} \ \mathcal{K}_r \to \mathrm{mod} \ kE_r$ to transfer our results to $\mathrm{mod} \ kE_r$.
