High-energy neutrino deep inelastic scattering cross sections

We present a state-of-the-art prediction for cross sections of neutrino deep inelastic scattering (DIS) from nucleon at high neutrino energies, $E_ν$, from 100 GeV to 1000 EeV ($10^{12}$ GeV). Our calculations are based on the latest CT18 NNLO parton distribution functions (PDFs) and their associated uncertainties. In order to make predictions for the highest energies, we extrapolate the PDFs to small $x$ according to several procedures and assumptions, thus affecting the uncertainties at ultra-high $E_ν$; we quantify the uncertainties corresponding to these choices. Similarly, we quantify the uncertainties introduced by the nuclear corrections which are required to evaluate neutrino-nuclear cross sections for neutrino telescopes. These results can be applied to currently-running astrophysical neutrino observatories, such as IceCube and KM3NeT, as well as various future experiments which have been proposed.

Detecting a Light Gravitino at Linear Collider to Probe the SUSY Breaking Scale

If supersymmetry is dynamically broken at a low scale ($M_{susy}$), within a few orders of magnitude of the weak scale, then the lightest supersymmetric partner is the gravitino and the next to lightest supersymmetric partner is a neutralino $χ^0_1$ with mass $m_{χ^0_1}$, which can decay into a photon ($γ$) plus a gravitino ($\widetilde{G}$). We study the detection of $e^{-}e^{+}\rightarrow χ^0_1 χ^0_1 \rightarrow γ\widetilde{G}γ\widetilde{G}$ at the proposed Linear Collider, and find the range of the parameters $M_{susy}$ and $m_{χ^0_1}$ that can be accessible with a right-hand polarized electron beam at $\sqrt{S}=500$\,GeV, with 50\,${\rm fb}^{-1}$ integrated luminosity. We also discuss briefly the accessible range for current electron and hadron colliders.

Studying Anomalous $WWγ$ and $WWZ$ Couplings with Polarized $p\bar{p}$ Collisions

We calculate tree-level cross-sections for $W^{+}γ$ and $W^{+}W^{-}$ production in proton-antiproton collisions, with one $W$ decaying to leptons, with anomalous electroweak triple-boson coupling parameters $Δκ$ and $λ$. We compare the unpolarized cross-sections to those for a polarized proton beam, to study how a polarized proton beam would improve experimental tests of anomalous couplings.
