A note on polyharmonic mappings

In this paper we prove a Radó type result showing that there is no univalent polyharmonic mapping of the unit disk onto the whole complex plane. We also establish a connection between the boundary functions of harmonic and biharmonic mappings. Finally, we show how a close-to-convex biharmonic mapping can be constructed from a convex harmonic mapping.

Koebe and Caratheódory type boundary behavior results for harmonic mappings

We study the behavior of the boundary function of a harmonic mapping from global and local points of view. Results related to the Koebe lemma are proved, as well as a generalization of a boundary behavior theorem by Bshouty, Lyzzaik and Weitsman. We also discuss this result from a different point of view, from which a relation between the boundary behavior of the dilatation at a boundary point and the continuity of the boundary function of our mapping can be seen.

A Problem of Bombieri on Univalent Functions

The famous Bieberbach Conjecture from 1916 on the coefficients of normalized univalent functions defined in the unit disk that was finally proved by de Branges some 70 years later, drifted many complex analysts attention to other subjects. Those who continued to explore de Branges method and push it as far as possible were not aware of where it may lead. Surprisingly enough, a paper by X. H. Dong that fell in our hands contained a way to tackle one of the problems of Bombieri on the behavior of the coefficients of univalent functions. We shall give an account of the history of the problem and a revised version of it.
