OS-Marathon: Benchmarking Computer-Use Agents on Vast-Horizon, Repetitive Tasks

Vast-horizon, repetitive workflows are common in daily routines, e.g., processing expense reports from a stack of receipts, organising a collection of PDF annotations into structured notes, and are tedious for humans, with execution length scaling with the volume of data to process. They are, however, well-suited to autonomous agents, since their structured, recurring sub-workflows follow a logic that can be systematically learned. Yet no existing benchmark evaluates agents specifically on vast-horizon, repetitive capabilities, leaving the problem largely underexplored. To bridge this gap, we establish OS-Marathon, comprising 100 vast-horizon, repetitive tasks across 5 scenarios and 10 domains, on which our evaluation reveals that leading state-of-the-art (SOTA) CUAs struggle substantially. We further find that introducing a task orchestrator to decompose the workflow into per-instance subtasks fails to mitigate the challenge: errors accumulate and propagate across solver agents, indicating that naive decomposition is insufficient for these tasks. We then explore a cost-friendly personalisation strategy, i.e. GraphDemo, that adapts general agents to such tasks from a single human demonstration of the recurring sub-workflow logic. Extensive experiments show both the real-world challenge of vast-horizon, repetitive tasks and the improvement provided by human demonstration in this setting. CausalT5k: Diagnosing Refusal and Failure Modes in Trustworthy Causal Reasoning Across Causal Rungs

Large language models increasingly produce fluent causal explanations, yet they often fail in ways aggregate accuracy cannot diagnose: confusing association with intervention, abandoning correct judgments under pressure, over-refusing valid claims, or answering when evidence is underdetermined. We introduce CTK, a diagnostic benchmark of 5,147 cases and growing, across 10 domains and all three levels of Pearl's Ladder of Causation. Unlike benchmarks that only score correctness, CTK reveals why a model failed by annotating causal rung, trap type, pressure sensitivity, refusal quality, and Utility-Safety tradeoffs. Its Sheep/Wolf taxonomy separates valid causal designs from inferential traps; paired neutral/pressure variants measure sycophantic drift through Bad Flip Rate; and Wise Refusal fields test whether a model identifies the missing information needed before endorsing a claim. CTK exposes failure modes hidden by aggregate accuracy: the Skepticism Trap, Rung Collapse under scaling, pressure-induced drift, Detection-Correction gaps, and counterfactual error modes. Rather than prescribing a correction method, it provides the diagnostic substrate for studying causal-reasoning failure profiles.

FlowDrone: Wind Estimation and Gust Rejection on UAVs Using Fast-Response Hot-Wire Flow Sensors

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are finding use in applications that place increasing emphasis on robustness to external disturbances including extreme wind. However, traditional multirotor UAV platforms do not directly sense wind; conventional flow sensors are too slow, insensitive, or bulky for widespread integration on UAVs. Instead, drones typically observe the effects of wind indirectly through accumulated errors in position or trajectory tracking. In this work, we integrate a novel flow sensor based on micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) hot-wire technology developed in our prior work onto a multirotor UAV for wind estimation. These sensors are omnidirectional, lightweight, fast, and accurate. In order to achieve superior tracking performance in windy conditions, we train a `wind-aware' residual-based controller via reinforcement learning using simulated wind gusts and their aerodynamic effects on the drone. In extensive hardware experiments, we demonstrate the wind-aware controller outperforming two strong `wind-unaware' baseline controllers in challenging windy conditions.
