Relativistic quantum teleportation protected by the anti-Unruh effect

The interaction of an accelerated observer with a quantum field can modify the entanglement and quantum information shared between observers, thereby affecting quantum communication in non-inertial frames. We formulate the standard teleportation protocol in a relativistic setting where Alice remains inertial while Rob undergoes uniform acceleration and is modeled as an Unruh-DeWitt detector locally coupled to a massive scalar field. The detector-field interaction initially leads to a loss of entanglement and quantum information shared between Alice and Rob. Remarkably, under acceleration, the anti-Unruh regime can reverse this degradation, leading to an increase in both the shared entanglement and the accessible quantum information. We further find that, in the anti-Unruh regime, the teleportation fidelity is independent of the local free-evolution time of Alice's and Rob's states. At high accelerations, the recovered entanglement and quantum information enhance the teleportation fidelity, which approaches unity under appropriate conditions. These results demonstrate that the anti-Unruh effect can protect and recover quantum entanglement and information in a non-inertial frame by reducing the detector's effective temperature and the associated decoherence.

Dynamical Evolution of Quantum Correlations and Decoherence in Coupled Oscillators Interacting with a Thermal Reservoir

We investigate the dynamical evolution of quantum discord, entanglement and purity in an open quantum system of two coupled asymmetric harmonic oscillators interacting with a thermal environment. Using the Kossakowski-Lindblad master equation we analyze the time evolution starting with a squeezed vacuum state. In contrast to our previous study on entanglement evolution in asymmetric oscillators, the present work introduces XY-type position-position coupling together with a systematic joint analysis of quantum discord and purity alongside entanglement. We examine the combined effects of the squeezing parameter, asymmetry parameter, coupling constant, dissipation rate and temperature. We find that quantum discord and entanglement exhibit, in general, a non-monotonic decrease over time. Increasing temperature consistently accelerates the degradation of both quantum correlations and purity, whereas increasing dissipation accelerates the degradation of quantum correlations but leads to higher steady-state purity. Increasing the squeezing parameter provides a protective effect by enhancing initial correlations and prolonging entanglement survival time, while increasing the coupling constant leads to higher quantum correlations. The asymmetry parameter exhibits only a weak influence on the correlation evolution. Our analysis reveals that quantum discord demonstrates stronger resilience than entanglement, which can present more complex behaviour including entanglement sudden death and possible temporary revivals and re-suppressions. These findings provide valuable insights for developing robust quantum information protocols and strategies for preserving quantum correlations in realistic open quantum systems, with potential extensions to non-Markovian regimes and multi-mode architectures.

Opto- and magneto-tunable exceptional degeneracies in non-Hermitian ferromagnet/$p$-wave magnet junctions

Unconventional $p$-wave magnets (UPMs) with odd-parity spin textures have attracted interest for their zero net magnetization and anisotropic spin-split Fermi surfaces. Here, we explore a non-Hermitian open quantum system composed of a ferromagnet and a UPM, subjected to an external magnetic field and off-resonant circularly polarized light (CPL), serving as tunable control parameters. We demonstrate the emergence of exceptional points (EPs) in the proposed junction, whose locations can be modulated by the intrinsic properties of the UPM. These EPs exhibit different multiplicities and formation conditions compared to those in even-parity magnets (dubbed $d$- wave altermagnets), a distinction attributable to the preserved time-reversal and broken inversion symmetries characteristic of UPMs. We find that both the unidirectional magnetic field (with adjustable strength and orientation) and the CPL induce momentum-direction-dependent modifications to the EPs, such as their shifting, tilting, merging, or annihilation, supported by analyses of spin projection and eigenvector overlap. Although both perturbations influence the EP structure, they operate via distinct mechanisms: CPL induces a global Floquet re-normalization, enabling dynamic tunability through light, whereas the unidirectional magnetic field selectively alters orientation-aligned terms, lacking such tunability. Beyond revealing EP dynamics in UPM-based junctions, our results highlight UPMs as promising platforms for non-Hermitian phenomena in future spintronics.

The effect of noisy environment on Secure Quantum Teleportation of uni-modal Gaussian states

Quantum communication networks can be built on quantum teleportation, which is the transmission of an unknown quantum state from a sending station to a remote receiving station supported by entangled states and classical communication. We use a continuous variable two-mode squeezed vacuum state as a resource state for the quantum teleportation. This state is shared by Alice and Bob, and their system comes into contact with a squeezed thermal environment. The conditions for a secure quantum teleportation require a teleportation fidelity larger than 2/3 and two-way steering of the resource state. We investigate the time evolution of the steering and the fidelity of teleportation in order to determine the values of the parameters required for a successful secure quantum teleportation of a coherent Gaussian state. We show that the temperature, dissipation rate and squeezing parameter of the squeezed thermal reservoir limit the feasible duration for secure quantum teleportation, while by increasing the squeezing parameter of the initial state one can effectively expand the temporal range for a successful secure quantum teleportation.

Exploiting Gaussian steering to probe non-Markovianity due to the interaction with a structured environment

We put forward a measure based on Gaussian steering to quantify the non-Markovianity of continuous-variable (CV) Gaussian quantum channels. We employ the proposed measure to assess and compare the non-Markovianity of a quantum Brownian motion (QBM) channel, originating from the interaction with Ohmic and sub-Ohmic environments with spectral densities described by a Lorentz-Drude cutoff, both at high and low temperatures, showing that sub-Ohmic, high temperature environments lead to highly non-Markovian evolution, with cyclic backflows of Gaussian steerability from the environment to the system. Our results add to the understanding of the interplay between quantum correlations and non-Markovianity for CV systems, and could be implemented at the experimental level to quantify non-Markovianity in some physical scenarios.

Non-Markovian evolution of a two-level system interacting with a fluctuating classical field via dipole interaction

We address memory effects in the dynamics of a two-level open quantum system interacting with a classical fluctuating field via dipole interaction. In particular, we study the backflow of information for a field with a Lorentzian spectrum, and reveal the existence of two working regimes, where memory effects are governed either by the energy gap of the two-level system, or by the interaction energy. Our results shows that non-Markovianity increases with time, at variance with the results obtained for dephasing and despite the dissipative nature of the interaction, thus suggesting that the corresponding memory effects might be observed in practical scenarios.
