New directed strongly regular graphs on 60 vertices

We prove the existence of directed strongly regular graphs with parameters (60,21,11,6,8), (60,22,12,8,8), (60,24,10,9,10), (60,25,17,8,12), (60,27,21,12,12) and (60,28,20,14,12). The group $S_5 \times 2$ acts transitively on the constructed graphs.

Transitive regular $q$-analogs of graphs

In 1976, Delsarte introduced the notion of $q$-analogs of designs, and $q$-analogs of graphs were introduced recently by M. Braun et al. In this paper, we extend that study by giving a method for constructing transitive regular $q$-analogs of graphs. Further, we illustrate the method by giving some examples. Additionally, we introduced the notion of $q$-analogs of quasi-strongly regular graphs and give examples of transitive $q$-analogs of quasi-strongly regular graphs coming from spreads.

$q$-Analogs of divisible design graphs and Deza graphs

Divisible design graphs were introduced in 2011 by Haemers, Kharaghani and Meulenberg. In this paper, we introduce the notion of $q$-analogs of divisible design graphs and show that all $q$-analogs of divisible design graphs come from spreads, and are actually $q$-analogs of strongly regular graphs. Deza graphs were introduced by Erickson, Fernando, Haemers and Hardy in 1999. In this paper, we introduce $q$-analogs of Deza graphs. Further, we determine possible parameters, give examples of $q$-analogs of Deza graphs and characterize all non-strongly regular $q$-analogs of Deza graphs with the smallest parameters.

LCD subspace codes

A subspace code is a nonempty set of subspaces of a vector space $\mathbb F^n_q$. Linear codes with complementary duals, or LCD codes, are linear codes whose intersection with their duals is trivial. In this paper, we introduce a notion of LCD subspace codes. We show that the minimum distance decoding problem for an LCD subspace code reduces to a problem that is simpler than for a general subspace code. Further, we show that under some conditions equitable partitions of association schemes yield such LCD subspace codes and as an illustration of the method give some examples from distance-regular graphs. We also give a construction from mutually unbiased Hadamard matrices, and more generally, from mutually unbiased weighing matrices.

Distance-regular graphs obtained from the Mathieu groups

In this paper we construct distance-regular graphs admitting a transitive action of the five sporadic simple groups discovered by E. Mathieu, the Mathieu groups $M_{11}$, $M_{12}$, $M_{22}$, $M_{23}$ and $M_{24}$. From the code spanned by the adjacency matrix of the strongly regular graph with parameters (176,70,18,34) we obtain block designs having the full automorphism groups isomorphic to the Higman-Sims finite simple group. Further, we discuss a possibility of permutation decoding of the codes spanned by the adjacency matrices of the graphs constructed and find small PD-sets for some of the codes.

New constructions of Deza digraphs

Deza digraphs were introduced in 2003 by Zhang and Wang as directed graph version of Deza graphs, that also generalize the notion of directed strongly regular graphs. In this paper we give several new constructions of Deza digraphs. Further, we introduce twin and Siamese twin (directed) Deza graphs and construct several examples. Moreover, we classify directed Deza graphs with parameters $(n,k,b,a,t)$ having the property that $b=t$. Finally, we introduce a variation of directed Deza graphs and provide a construction from finite fields.

LDPC codes constructed from cubic symmetric graphs

Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes have been the subject of much interest due to the fact that they can perform near the Shannon limit. In this paper we present a construction of LDPC codes from cubic symmetric graphs. The constructed codes are $(3,3)$-regular and the vast majority of the corresponding Tanner graphs have girth greater than four. We analyse properties of the obtained codes and present bounds for the code parameters, the dimension and the minimum distance. Furthermore, we give an expression for the variance of the syndrome weight of the constructed codes. Information on the LDPC codes constructed from bipartite cubic symmetric graphs with less than 200 vertices is presented as well. Some of the constructed codes are optimal, and some have an additional property of being self-orthogonal or linear codes with complementary dual (LCD codes).

LCD codes from weighing matrices

Linear codes with complementary duals are linear codes whose intersection with their duals are trivial, shortly named LCD codes. In this paper we outline a construction for LCD codes over finite fields of order $q$ using weighing matrices and their orbit matrices. The LCD codes constructed can be of any length dimension according to the choice of matrices used in their construction. As a special case, LCD codes of length $2n$ and dimension $n$ are constructed which also have the property of being formally self-dual. Alternatively, under a condition depending on $q$ that the codes are not LCD, this method constructs self-dual codes. To illustrate the method we construct LCD codes from weighing matrices, including the Paley conference matrices and Hadamard matrices. We also extend the construction to Hermitian LCD codes over the finite field of order 4. In addition, we propose a decoding algorithm that can be feasible for the LCD codes obtained from some of the given methods.

Divisible design Cayley digraphs

Divisible design digraphs which can be obtained as Cayley digraphs are studied. A characterization of divisible design Cayley digraphs in terms of the generating sets is given. Further, we give several constructions of divisible design Cayley digraphs and classify divisible design Cayley digraphs on $v \le 27$ vertices.

Self-orthogonal codes from equitable partitions of association schemes

We give a method of constructing self-orthogonal codes from equitable partitions of association schemes. By applying this method we construct self-orthogonal codes from some distance-regular graphs. Some of the obtained codes are optimal. Further, we introduce a notion of self-orthogonal subspace codes. We show that under some conditions equitable partitions of association schemes yield such self-orthogonal subspace codes and we give some examples from distance-regular graphs.

On some distance-regular graphs with many vertices

We construct distance-regular graphs, including strongly regular graphs, admitting a transitive action of the Chevalley groups $G_2(4)$ and $G_2(5)$, the orthogonal group $O(7,3)$ and the Tits group $T=$$^2F_4(2)'$. Most of the constructed graphs have more than 1000 vertices, and the number of vertices goes up to 28431. Some of the obtained graphs are new.

On transitive designs and strongly regular graphs constructed from Mathieu group $M_{11}$

In this paper we construct structures from Mathieu group $M_{11}$. We classify transitive $t$-designs with 11, 12 and 22 points admitting a transitive action of Mathieu group $M_{11}$. Thereby we proved the existence of designs with parameters 3-(22,7,18) and found first simple designs with parameters 4-(11,5,6) and 5-(12,6,6). Additionally, we proved the existence of $2$-designs with certain parameters having 55 and 66 points. Furthermore, we classified strongly regular graphs on at most 450 vertices admitting a transitive action of the Mathieu group $M_{11}$.

Classification of quasi-symmetric 2-(64,24,46) designs of Blokhuis-Haemers type

This paper completes the classification of quasi-symmetric 2-$(64,24,46)$ designs of Blokhuis-Haemers type supported by the dual code $C^{\perp}$ of the binary linear code $C$ spanned by the lines of $AG(3,2^2)$ initiated in \cite{bgr-vdt}. It is shown that $C^{\perp}$ contains exactly 30,264 nonisomorphic quasi-symmetric 2-$(64,24,46)$ designs obtainable from maximal arcs in $AG(2,2^2)$ via the Blokhuis-Haemers construction. The related strongly regular graphs are also discussed.
