Magic wavelengths and triple magic trapping conditions for $5s^2~^1\!S_0$ and $5s5p~^3\!P_{0,2}$ states of Sr atoms

The static and dynamic electric dipole polarizabilities of the $5s^2~^1\!S_0$ and $5s5p~^3\!P_{0,2}$ states of Sr atoms are calculated using the relativistic configuration interaction plus the many-body perturbation theory (RCI+MBPT) method. Magic wavelengths are determined for the transitions $5s^2~^1\!S_0\rightarrow 5s5p~^3\!P_{0}$, $5s^2~^1\!S_0\rightarrow 5s5p~^3\!P_{2}$, and $5s5p~^3\!P_0\rightarrow 5s5p~^3\!P_{2}$. A comprehensive study is conducted on the dependence of magic wavelengths on the angle between the laser polarization and the magnetic field. Furthermore, the conditions for realizing triple magic trapping at 813.4~nm for the $5s^2~^1\!S_0$, $5s5p~^3\!P_{0}$ and $5s5p~^3\!P_{2}$ states are investigated. In the case of linearly polarized light, when the angle ($\theta_p$) between the laser polarization direction and the magnetic field is $79.1(0.7)^\circ$, triple magic trapping for the $5s^2~^1\!S_0$, $5s5p~^3\!P_{0}$, and $5s5p~^3\!P_{2}~M=0$ states can be achieved. This result agrees well with the recent experimental measurement (78.49(3)$^\circ$)[Phys. Rev. Lett. 135, 143401 (2025)]. Meanwhile, triple magic trapping involving the $5s5p~^3\!P_{2}~M=2$ state can be achieved when $\theta_p= 37.4(0.3)^\circ$. The conditions for achieving triple magic trapping with circularly and arbitrarily elliptically polarized light are also presented.

The Land$\acute{e}$ $g$ factors for the $6S_{1/2}$ , $5D_{3/2,5/2}$ states of Ba$^{+}$ ions

The Land$\acute{e}$ $g$ factors of Ba$^+$ are very important in high-precision measurement physics. The wave functions, energy levels, and Land$\acute{e}$ $g$ factors for the $6s$ $^{2}S_{1/2}$ and $5d$ $^{2}D_{3/2,5/2}$ states of Ba$^{+}$ ions were calculated using the multi-configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) method and the Model-QED method. The contributions of the electron correlation effects and quantum electrodynamics (QED) effects were discussed in detail. The transition energies are in excellent agreement with the experimental results, with differences of approximately 5 cm$^{-1}$. The presently calculated $g$ factor of 2.0024905(16) for the $6S_{1/2}$ agrees very well with the available experimental and theoretical results, with a difference at a level of 10$^{-6}$. For the $5D_{3/2, 5/2}$ states, the present results of 0.7993961(126) and 1.2003942(190) agree with the experimental results of 0.7993278(3) [\textcolor{blue}{Phys. Rev. A 54, 1199(1996)}] and 1.20036739(14) [\textcolor{blue}{Phys. Rev. Lett. 124, 193001 (2020)}] very well, with differences at the level of 10$^{-5}$.

Angle-dependent magic wavelengths for the $4s_{1/2}\to3d_{5/2,3/2}$ transitions of Ca$^{+}$ ions

The dynamic polarizabilities of the atomic states with angular momentum $j> \frac12$ are sensitive to the angle between the quantization axis $\hat{e}_z$ and the polarization vector $\hat{\mathbfε}$ owing to the contribution of anisotropic tensor polarizabilities. The magic wavelength, at which the differential Stark shift of an atomic transition nullifies, depends on this angle. We identified the magic wavelengths for the $4s_{\frac12}\to3d_{\frac32,\frac52}$ transitions of Ca$^{+}$ ions at different angles between $\hat{e}_z$ and $\hat{\mathbfε}$ in the case of linearly polarized light. We found that the magic wavelengths near 395.79 nm, which lie between the $4s_{\frac12}\to4p_{\frac12}$ and $4s_{\frac12}\to 4p_{\frac32}$ transition wavelengths, remain unsensitive to the angle, while the magic wavelengths, which are longer than the $3d_{\frac52}\to 4p_{\frac32}$ resonant transition wavelength (854.21 nm), are very sensitive to the angle.

Polarizabilities and tune-out wavelengths of the hyperfine ground states of $^{87,85}$Rb

The static and dynamic polarizabilities, and the tune-out wavelengths of the ground state of Rb and the hyperfine ground states of $^{87, 85}$Rb have been calculated by using relativistic configuration interaction plus core polarization(RCICP) approach. It is found that the first primary tune-out wavelengths of the $ 5s_{1/2}, F=1, 2 $ states of $ ^{87}$Rb are 790.018187(193) nm and 790.032602(193) nm severally, where the calculated result for the $ 5s_{1/2}, F=2 $ state is in good agreement with the latest high-precision measurement 790.032388(32) nm [Phys. Rev. A 92, 052501 (2015)]. Similarly, the first primary tune-out wavelengths of the $ 5s_{1/2}, F=2, 3 $ states of $^{85}$Rb are 790.023515(218) nm and 790.029918(218) nm respectively. Furthermore, the tune-out wavelengths for the different magnetic sublevels $ M_{F}$ of each hyperfine level $F$ are also determined by considering the contributions of tensor polarizabilities.
