Quantum-information fingerprints of partial dynamical symmetry in the interacting boson model

Partial dynamical symmetry (PDS) is an algebraic structure in which a prescribed symmetry is neither exact nor completely broken: a subset of eigenstates keeps good quantum numbers and remains solvable while the rest of the spectrum mixes. PDS is currently identified from spectroscopic data, band-head energies, level systematics, and $B(E2)$ ratios. We ask whether it also has a purely structural signature in the eigenstates, and find that it does, though not in the magnitude of entanglement. The natural diagnostic is the variance of a symmetry Casimir, the label variance $\Var\,\C[G]$, which we show coincides with a block-coherence entropy and a block impurity: all three vanish exactly when a state carries a single irreducible-representation label. Resolved state by state, this quantity is zero on the solvable subset and of order $N^2$ on the mixed states, at stable symmetry points and at Leviatan's first- and second-order critical points, where it takes two distinct forms set by the order of the transition. The magnitude of bipartite entanglement, by contrast, does not separate solvable from mixed states and drifts even where the labels are exact. We anchor the analysis in $^{168}$Er, connect the block purity to the ``purity/coherence'' language of the quasi-dynamical-symmetry literature, and show the label variance is uncorrelated with multipartite entanglement and with magic. Finally we encode the model on a qubit register and prepare its solvable and mixed eigenstates variationally, as a step toward evaluating the diagnostic on a quantum device.

Towards Quantum Simulation of Rotating Nuclei using Quantum Variational Algorithms

Quantum variational algorithms (QVAs) are increasingly potent tools for simulating quantum many-body systems on noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices. This work examines the application of the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) to four progressively complex models based on the cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky (CNS) framework. By incorporating single-particle spacings, pairing correlations, and rotational cranking terms, we evaluate VQE performance against exact diagonalization (ED) benchmarks. We provide a systematic benchmarking of VQE across a hierarchy of CNS-inspired Hamiltonians, explicitly identifying where hardware-efficient ansatz succeed and fail, and introducing quantum information diagnostics, the entanglement spectrum and Quantum Fisher Information, as novel probes of the pairing-rotation. Our results demonstrate that with a properly optimised multi-restart warm-starting strategy, VQE achieves near-machine-precision convergence ($|ΔE| < 10^{-4}$) across the full cranking frequency range $ω\in [0,1.2]$ and we confirm that the same strategy reproduces an established $^{6}$He shell-model pairing benchmark, demonstrating that the RealAmplitudes ansatz is expressively sufficient for this problem class. The entanglement spectrum confirms the product-state character of the exact ground state throughout the pairing-rotation transition, while the Quantum Fisher Information identifies a finite-size precursor to the critical pair-breaking frequency. These results establish a systematic methodological baseline and provide a reproducible framework for the nuclear physics community.

Geodesic Motion and Particle Confinements in Cylindrical Wormhole Spacetime: Exploring Closed Timelike Curves

In this study, the geodesic motion of a test particle along with its confinement is investigated within Cylindrically Symmetric Wormhole spacetime admitting to Closed Timelike Curves. The confinement of particles with or without angular momentum is also investigated. It is found that particles with positive angular momentum that co-rotates with the spacetime can only pass through the causality violating region. Particles with only non-zero angular momentum are present in the vicinity of the Closed Timelike Curves.

Investigating Evolving Wormholes in $f(R,T)$ Gravity

The present work examines whether evolving wormhole solution is possible or not in $f(R,T)$ modified gravity theory. In the background of inhomogeneous FLRW type wormhole configuration the field equations are investigated for different choices of scale factors and shape functions. For the power law and exponential choice of the scale factor from cosmological context and decoupled power law of $f(R,T)$ in each variable, wormhole configuration has been examined for two viable choices of shape function. Energy conditions are examined graphically for a range of values of the parameters involved. Finally, the possibility of emergent scenario at early cosmic evolution has been examined.

Evolving wormhole formation in dRGT massive gravity

In this study, we have examined the evolving wormhole solution within Einstein-massive gravity, considering traceless, barotropic, and anisotropic pressure fluids. We have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the constraints imposed by the constants derived from the wormhole solution. It is found that the wormhole throat, situated between two asymptotic universes, undergoes simultaneous expansion with acceleration. A detailed investigation of the energy conditions for traceless, barotropic, and anisotropic fluids suggests a wide range of possibilities for evolving wormhole configurations with non-exotic matter at the throat. The dependency of this feature on the various parameters arising from the study has also been examined.

Wormhole formation in massive gravity: An analytic description

The present study analyses the wormhole solution both in the dRGT-$ f(R,T) $ massive gravity and Einstein massive gravity. In both the models, the anisotropic pressure solution in ultrastatic wormhole geometry gives rise to the shape function that involves massive gravity parameters $ γ$ and $ Λ$. However, the terms consisting of $ γ$ and $ Λ$ acts in such a way that the spacetime loses asymptotic flatness. Similar to the black hole solution in massive gravity, this inconsistency arises due to the repulsive effect of gravity which can be represented by the photon deflection angle that goes negative after a certain radial distance. It is investigated that the repulsive effect induced in the massive gravitons push the spacetime geometry so strongly that the asymptotic flatness is effected. On the other hand, in this model, one can have a wormhole with ordinary matter at the throat that satisfies all the energy conditions while the negative energy density is sourced by massive gravitons. Finally, using the TOV equation, it is found that the model is stable under the hydrostatic equilibrium condition.

On the role of closed timelike curves and confinement structure around Kerr-Newman singularity

In this study, the particle motion around the naked singularity and black hole of Kerr-Newman spacetime is investigated with a special attention on the closed timelike orbits. It is found that both in the naked singularity (NS) and in black hole (BH), the singularity is concealed by causality violating regions, and the Cauchy surface consistently resides inside the inner horizon in non-extremal black holes. For neutral particles and particles with an identical charge to the source, only particles with positive angular momentum are permitted to traverse the closed timelike curves. Conversely, for particles with the opposite charge to the source, the strong Coulomb attraction draws all particles inside the Cauchy surface, allowing them to be present in the closed timelike curves irrespective of their angular momentum. However, in both the NS and BH (both extremal and non-extremal), test particles are confined at a considerable distance from the singular point such that there always exists an empty region surrounding the singularity which prevents particles from interacting with it. The radius of the empty surface that depends on the source parameters and the particle characteristics, is investigated with an accurate expression.

Does Dynamical Wormhole Evolve From Emergent Scenario?

In the present work we analyse a dynamical wormhole solution with two fluids system (one isotropic and homogeneous and the other being inhomogeneous and anisotropic in nature) as the matter at the throat. We choose two different forms of Equation of State(EoS) and investigate two solutions of the wormhole geometry. The properties to ensure existence and traversability has been analysed. Also, the model of the dynamic wormhole has been examined for a possibility of the Emergent Universe(EU) model in cosmological context. Finally, for the dynamical wormholes so obtained, Null Energy Condition(NEC) has been examined near the throat.

Particle motion around traversable wormholes: Possibility of closed timelike geodesics

The present work investigates the general wormhole solution in Einstein gravity with an exponential shape function around an ultrastatic and a finite redshift geometry. The geodesic motion around the wormholes is studied in which the deflection angle of the orbiting photon sphere is found to be negative after a certain region, indicating the presence of repulsive effect of gravity in both the ultrastatic and finite redshift wormholes. Various unbounded and bounded timelike trajectories are presented on the wormhole embedding diagrams, in which some of the bound orbits involve intersection points that may lead to causality violating geodesics. Another class of closed timelike geodesics are obtained in the unstable circular trajectory that appeared at the wormhole throat. Finally, the trajectories are classified in terms of the family of CTG orbits.

Does violation of Cosmic No-hair Conjecture guarantee the existence of Wormhole?

The present work investigates the interrelation between the validity (or violation) of the cosmic no-hair conjecture and the existence (or non-existence) of wormholes, both in Einstein's Gravity and in modified gravity theories. It is found that the existence of wormholes implies a violation of the cosmic no-hair conjecture, and the validity of the cosmic no-hair conjecture implies the non-existence of wormholes but not the reverse way both in Einstein's Gravity and in modified gravity theories. We will also re-visit the gravitational entropy predictions of the wormhole and show how they are connected.

The role of closed timelike curves in particle motion within Van Stockum space-time: A generalization

The present work analyses the particle motion in the Van Stockum space-time considering the existence of closed timelike curves. Test particles with or without angular momentum are studied in the present geometry. It is found that only non-zero angular momentum test particles exist in the neighborhood of closed timelike curves. The minimum particle energy and the range of backward time jump in closed timelike geodesics are studied within a Cauchy horizon. Finally, a general prescription for CTC and CTG has been presented with appropriate examples.
