Thermodynamics of deformed AdS-Schwarzschild black holes in the presence of Thermal fluctuations

This paper examines the thermodynamic properties and stability of deformed AdS-Schwarzschild black holes, focusing on the effects of deformation ($α$) and thermal correction parameters ($β_1$, $β_2$) on phase transitions and heat capacity. The results show that higher $α$ values raise the Hawking-Page critical temperature, enhancing thermal stability. Thermal corrections significantly affect smaller black holes but minimally impact larger ones, leaving second-order phase transitions unchanged. Heat capacity analysis identifies stability regions, with sign changes marking instability. These findings highlight the role of deformation and thermal corrections in black hole stability, offering insights for extending our understanding of black hole thermodynamics.

Optical, Dynamic and Topological Characteristics of Deformed Schwarzschild Black Holes

We investigate the temperature, photon and shadow radii, quasinormal modes (QNMs), time domain profiles, greybody factors, emission rates and topological characteristics of deformed black holes, focusing on the effects of the deformation parameter $ α$ and control parameter $ β$. Increasing $ α$ enhances the oscillation frequency and damping rate of gravitational waves, while $ β$ shows non-linear behaviour. Electromagnetic perturbations exhibit similar trends, though with lower frequencies and damping rates. Greybody factors are mainly influenced by multipole moment $l$ and $ α$, with $ β$ having a more subtle effect. These findings provide insights into black hole dynamics, mergers, and gravitational wave emissions.

Quasinormal modes and greybody factors of charge black hole in bumblebee gravity model

In this paper, we investigate the Dirac field, scalar field and electromagnetic field perturbations of Reissner-Nordstorm-de Sitter (RNdS) and Reissner-Nordstorm-(anti)-de Sitter (RNAdS)-like black holes within the frame work of Einstein-bumblebee gravity. The effective potential, greybody factor and quasinormal modes (QNMs) are also explored by using Dirac equation, Klein-Gordon equation and Maxwell's equation. We find that for RNdS-like black hole increasing the Lorentz violation parameter $L$ consistently leads to decrease in the effective potential for all types of perturbations but for RNAdS case the influence of $L$ varies depending on the types of perturbation. Further for both RNdS and RNAdS-like black holes, increasing charge $Q$ reduces the effective potential in all the perturbations. The greybody factors of all the types of perturbations are also discussed. The results show that the greybody factors depend on the shape of the effective potential: higher (lower) potentials gives lower (higher) greybody factors. The QNMs frequencies of RNdS-like black hole for the massless field perturbations are discussed by using 6th order WKB approximation and Padé approximation. We also analyze the time-domain profiles of the perturbations. The effects of Lorentz violation parameter $L$ and charge $Q$ to the photon sphere radius and shadow radius are also discussed. It is noted that increasing $Q$ and $L$ reduce the rise of shadow radius for RNdS-like black hole.

Geodesics and scalar perturbations of deformed AdS-Schwarzschild black hole with a global monopole surrounded by a quintessence field

We conduct a comprehensive investigation of a deformed AdS-Schwarzschild black hole with a global monopole surrounded by a quintessence field. Our analysis focuses on the geodesic motion of both null and timelike particles, enabling precise determination of the photon sphere and quantification of forces acting on photon particles. We systematically examine how the deformation parameter, control parameter, global monopole parameter, and quintessence field parameter influence the energy, angular momentum, and angular velocities of test particles in circular orbits within the equatorial plane. Additionally, we derive and analyze the perturbative potentials for scalar and electromagnetic fields, demonstrating how these parameters modify their structural profiles. Through time-domain integration, we explore the evolution of scalar and electromagnetic perturbations, revealing distinct phases of transient behavior and quasinormal ringing. Finally, we investigate the emission rates of this black hole, establishing connections between its shadow radius and thermal characteristics. Our findings reveal that the global monopole parameter, deformation parameter and quintessence field enhance black hole stability by reducing emission rates, while the control parameter, which helps avoid central singularities, accelerates evaporation by increasing emission.

Physical Properties of Black Hole Solution in Einstein-Bel-Robinson Gravity

In this paper, we study the different properties of static spherically symmetric black hole solutions of Einstein-Bel-Robinson gravity (EBR), a modified four-dimensional theory of gravity quartic in curvature. We look at the orbit of massless and massive test bodies near a black hole, specifically computing the innermost stable circular orbit and photon sphere and finding them smaller than their Einstein counterparts in general relativity. Next, we obtain the deflection angle and shadow by an EBR black hole and find that both decreased compared to a non-rotating black hole in general relativity. We obtain a bound value for the coupling constant using the Shapiro time delay. Then, we explore the EBR black hole's lifetime and find that it decreases to Einstein's gravity. Quasinormal modes (QNMs) are computed using Padé averaged 6th order WKB method showing that increasing the coupling constant lowers the damping rate of ring-down gravitational waves (GWs). The oscillation frequency of scalar QNMs decreases with the coupling constant, whereas it increases for electromagnetic QNMs. We also provide analytical rigorous bound of greybody factor. We show that the coupling constant has a small effect on the greybody factor. Finally, correspondence between greybody factor and quasinormal modes is also considered.

Shadow and quasinormal modes of the rotating Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black holes

The Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg (EEH) black hole model is an extension of classical black hole solutions in general relativity, incorporating quantum electrodynamics (QED) effects via the Euler-Heisenberg Lagrangian. The Euler-Heisenberg Lagrangian describes the nonlinear corrections to Maxwell's equations due to virtual electron-positron pair production in a strong electromagnetic field. When this Lagrangian is coupled with Einstein's field equations, it leads to modified black hole solutions that take into account these quantum corrections. In this paper, we investigate the impact of the black hole charge $Q_e$ on the properties of the rotating and electrically charged Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black holes (EEH). To this aim, we analyzed and discussed findings as to how the black hole charge $Q_e$ affects certain black hole properties such as null regions, shadow cast and its observables, and quasinormal modes (QNMs) relative to the Kerr and Kerr-Newman cases. We find that the presence of a screened charge due to the associated QED effects in this screened Maxwell theory might noticeably alter the properties of black holes, offering insights into the interplay between gravity and quantum field effects.

Quasinormal Modes and Greybody Factors of Charged Symmergent Black Hole

In this paper, we investigate quasinormal modes (QNMs) and greybody factors within the framework of Symmergent gravity, an emergent gravity model with an $R + R^2$ curvature sector. Building on our previous work on static spherically-symmetric solutions [Class. Quant. Grav. 40 (2023) 19, 195003], we explore the effects of the key parameters, including the quadratic curvature coupling parameter $c_{\rm O}$ and the vacuum energy parameter $α$. For both scalar and electromagnetic perturbations, an increase in $α$ leads to a nearly linear rise in both oscillation frequencies and damping rates. The other parameter $c_{\rm O}$ affects the QNMs spectrum nonlinearly. Additionally, the charge $Q$ of the black hole introduces nonlinear behavior, where higher charges amplify the black hole's electromagnetic field, resulting in increased oscillation frequencies and faster stabilization. These findings enhance our understanding of charged black hole stability and gravitational wave astrophysics. Further, the analysis of greybody factors reveals that increasing $α$, $c_{\rm O}$, and $Q$ reduces the absorption of radiation, with electromagnetic perturbations reaching maximum absorption at slightly lower frequencies compared to scalar perturbations.

Corrected Thermodynamics and Stability of Magnetic charged AdS Black Holes surrounded by Quintessence

In this study, we explore the corrected thermodynamics of non-linear magnetic charged anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes surrounded by quintessence, incorporating thermal fluctuations and deriving the corrected thermodynamic potentials. We analyze the effects of corrections due to thermal fluctuations on various thermodynamic potentials, including enthalpy, Helmholtz free energy, and Gibbs free energy. Our results show significant impacts on smaller black holes, with first-order corrections destabilizing them, while second-order corrections enhance stability with increasing parameter values. The specific heat analysis further elucidates the stability criteria, indicating that the large black holes ensure stability against phase transitions. However, the thermal fluctuations do not affect the physical limitation points as well as the second-order phase transition points of the black hole. Our findings highlight the intricate role of thermal fluctuations in black hole thermodynamics and their influence on stability, providing deeper insights into the behaviour of black holes under corrected thermodynamic conditions.

Four $\mathbb{S}\mathbb{T}\mathbb{U}$ Black Holes Shadows

In this work, we examine the optical behaviors and thermodynamic phase structures using shadow analysis for four $\mathbb{S}\mathbb{T}\mathbb{U}$ black holes. The study is conducted for four cases of charge configurations on the parameter space $\mathcal{M}\left(q_1,q_2,q_3,q_4\right)$. As a matter of fact, both the electric charge as a parameter and the parameter space $\mathcal{M}\left(q_1,q_2,q_3,q_4\right)$ affect the geometry of the black hole shadow, particularly the size of the shadow. We also introduce a constraint on the charge of the black hole from the observational results of the M87$^\star$ {\color{black}and Sgr A$^\star$} shadow. Furthermore, we show that the electric charge and the parameter space $\mathcal{M}\left(q_1,q_2,q_3,q_4\right)$ have a non-trivial impact on the variation of the energy emission rate. Interestingly enough, we find novel scenarios in which the evaporation is slower, which causes the lifetime of the black holes to be considerably elongated. On the other side, the phase structure of four $\mathbb{S}\mathbb{T}\mathbb{U}$ black holes is explored for two cases of electric charge configuration. The findings show a perfect correlation between the shadow and event horizon radii. This correlation is, in fact, helpful in discovering the phase transition in terms of the shadow radius. In addition, the microstructure is being analyzed in terms of shadow analysis, providing similar behavior to the ordinary situation of the Ruppeiner formalism.

Violation of Hod's Conjecture and Probing it with Optical properties of a 5-D black hole in Einstein Gauss-Bonnet Bumblebee theory of gravity

In this work, the quasinormal modes of a $5$-D black hole in Einstein Gauss-Bonnet Bumblebee theory of gravity have been investigated with the help of the Padé averaged higher order WKB approximation method and the validity of Hod's conjecture has been studied. It is found that the presence of Lorentz symmetry breaking due to the Bumblebee field favours Hod's conjecture. But in the case of the Gauss-Bonnet term, an increase in the coupling parameter increases the chances of violation of Hod's conjecture. We further investigated the optical properties of the black hole {\it viz.}, shadow and emission rate. It is found that a black hole with a lower lifetime favours Hod's conjecture.

Noncommutative black hole in de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley like massive gravity

We examine the behavior of non-commutative Schwarzschild black holes in the context of massive gravity. According to the investigation, corresponding to a minimal mass, the black hole can have two horizons, one horizon, or no horizon at all. Our results imply the existence of a stable black hole remnant, whose mass can be uniquely calculated in terms of the non-commutative parameter $θ$ and gravity mass $m$. Thermodynamic features such as heat capacity and Hawking temperature are studied. We also examine a scalar linear perturbation on the black hole. Quasinormal frequencies are computed via Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin(WKB) method with Pade improvement. All quasinormal frequencies considered in this work have a negative imaginary part. In the eikonal limit, we investigate the angular velocity and the Lyapunov exponent as a function of $M/\sqrtθ$. Additionally, we explore the black hole's shadow across various model parameters. Our findings indicate that non-commutativity leads to a reduction in the black hole's shadow, with this effect exhibiting a nonlinear relationship. Furthermore, we observe that the inclusion of a massive graviton in the theory results in an increase in the black hole's shadow radius, particularly at greater observer distances.

Quasinormal Modes and Greybody factors of de Sitter Black holes surrounded by Quintessence in Rastall gravity

In this work, we have studied the quasinormal mode, greybody factors, and absorption cross section of de Sitter Reissner-Nordström black hole surrounded by quintessence field in Rastall gravity. The violation of energy-momentum conservation has a non-linear effect on the quasinormal modes. With an increase in the black hole charge, both real parts of quasinormal modes i.e. oscillation frequency of ring-down Gravitational Waves (GWs) and damping or decay rate of GWs increase non-linearly. A similar observation is made for the black hole structural parameter also, however in this case the variation is almost linear. The remnant mass of a black hole depends on different physical parameters of a black hole. In the case of greybody factors also, we observed that both parameters have similar impacts. With an increase in these parameters, greybody factors decrease. Moreover, the null geodesics and the impact of Rastall gravity on the light trajectory are also investigated. Our study suggests that the presence of a surrounding quintessence field may shadow the existence of black hole charges in such black hole configurations.

Phase structures and critical behaviour of rational non-linear electrodynamics AdS black holes in Rastall gravity

This research paper presents a black hole solution with a rational non-linear electrodynamics source in the Rastall gravity framework. The paper analyzes the thermodynamic properties of the solution in normal phase space and explores its critical behavior. The phase structure is examined using the extended first law of thermodynamics, with the cosmological constant $Λ$ serving as pressure $P$. The isotherms exhibit van der Waals behavior at small values of horizon $r_+$. The paper also investigates the Gibbs free energy behavior and finds two critical points with two pressures where the reentrant phase transition occurs and disappears. On the other hand, we explore the prevalent microstructure of black holes in Ruppeiner geometry, uncovering significant deviations in the nature of particle interactions from conventional practice. Moreover, the thermodynamic geometry is analyzed using the Ruppeiner formalism, with the normalized Ricci scalar indicating possible point-phase transitions of the heat capacity, and the normalized extrinsic curvature having the same sign as the normalized Ricci scalar. The three-phase transitions of the heat capacity are those that we find for the normalized Ruppeiner curvatures. Thus, there is an absolute correspondence.

Investigating Stable Quark Stars in Rastall-Rainbow Gravity and Their Compatibility with Gravitational Wave Observations

We present a stable model for quark stars in Rastall-Rainbow (R-R) gravity. The structure of this configuration is obtained by utilizing an interacting quark matter equation of state. The R-R gravity theory is developed as a combination of two distinct theories, namely, the Rastall theory and the gravity's rainbow formalism. Depending on the model parameters ($\barλ, η, Σ$), the mass-radius relations are numerically computed for modified Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equations with proper boundary conditions. The stability of equilibrium configuration has been checked through the static stability criterion, adiabatic index and the sound velocity. Our calculations predict larger maximum masses for quark stars, and the obtained results are compatible with accepted masses and radii values, including constraints from GW190814 and GW170817 events in all the studied cases.

Constraints on Quasinormal modes from Black Hole Shadows in regular non-minimal Einstein Yang-Mills Gravity

This work deals with the scalar quasinormal modes using higher order WKB method and black hole shadow in non-minimal Einstein Yang-Mills theory. To validate the results of quasinormal modes, time domain profiles are also investigated. We found that with an increase in the magnetic charge of the black hole, the ring-down gravitational wave increases non-linearly and damping rate decreases non-linearly. The presence of magnetic charge also results in a decrease in the black hole shadow non-linearly. It is found that for large values of the coupling parameter, the black hole changes to a solitonic solution and the corresponding ring-down gravitational wave frequency increases slowly with a decrease in the damping rate. For the solitonic solutions, the shadow is also smaller. The constraints on the model parameters calculated using shadow observations of M87* and Sgr A* and an approximate analytic relation between quasinormal modes and shadow at the eikonal limit is discussed.

Impact of energy-momentum conservation violation on the configuration of compact stars and their GW echoes

This work investigates the impacts of energy-momentum conservation violation on the configuration of strange stars constraint with gravitational wave (GW) event GW190814 as well as eight recent observations of compact objects. The GW echoes from these interesting classes of compact objects are also calculated. To describe the matter of strange stars, we have used two different equations of state (EoSs): first an ad-hoc exotic EoS, the stiffer MIT Bag model and next realistic CFL phase of quark matter EoS. We choose Rastall gravity as a simple model with energy-momentum conservation violation with a set of model parameter values. Our results show that this gravity theory permits stable solutions of strange stars and the resulting structures can foster GW echoes. We illustrate the implication of the gravity theory and found that the negative values of the Rastall parameter result in more compact stellar configurations and lower GW echo frequency. With an increase in the Rastall parameter, both the compactness of the stellar configurations and echo time decrease. It is worth mentioning here that with the chosen set of some probable strange star candidates from observational data and also in light of GW 190814, we have evaluated the radii of stellar models. Also, the GW echo frequencies associated with strange stars are found to be in the range of {$\approx 9-27$ kHz} for both cases. {From this work, it is also inferred that the assumption regarding the equivalence of Rastall's theory to Einstein's theory is refuted as we have noticed many deviations in the physical properties of the considered compact stars.

Leading-order corrections to the thermodynamics of Rindler modified Schwarzschild black hole

In this work, we present a thermodynamical study of a Rindler modified Schwarzschild black hole under the consideration of small thermal fluctuations. In particular, we compute various stable macroscopic thermodynamic variables such as Hawking temperature, entropy, Helmholtz free energy, internal energy, enthalpy, and Gibbs free energy. To explore the effects of small statistical thermal fluctuations on stable thermodynamical parameters, we estimated the corrections to the various thermodynamical potentials of Rindler modified Schwarzschild black hole up to the first (leading) order and do a comparative study for the different values of correction parameter and Rindler acceleration parameter for fixed values of a cosmological constant. In this study, we examine the stability of black holes in the presence of thermal fluctuations. We find that when the correction parameter is positive, small-sized black holes remain stable, while large-sized ones become unstable. Conversely, when the correction parameter is negative, both small and large black holes exhibit instability. Additionally, we demonstrate that the first law of thermodynamics remains valid even in the presence of thermal fluctuations.

Quasinormal Modes and Optical Properties of 4-D black holes in Einstein Power-Yang-Mills Gravity

This paper explores the impact of the Yang-Mills charge parameter and the exponent term on a $4$D black hole solution in the Einstein Power-Yang-Mills theory. Through an investigation of the massless scalar quasinormal mode spectrum, black hole shadow, and emission rate, we have determined that the effects of these two parameters are opposite. Specifically, the Yang-Mills charge parameter causes an increase in the real quasinormal frequencies with a correspondingly smaller damping rate. It also results in a smaller black hole shadow and a lower evaporation rate.
