Induced fission-like process of hadronic molecular states

In this work, we predict a new physical phenomenon, induced fission-like process and chain reaction of hadronic molecular states. As a molecular state, if induced by a $D$ meson, the $X(3872)$ can split into $D\bar{D}$ final state which is forbidden due to the spin-parity conservation. The breeding of the $D$ meson of the reaction, such as $D^0X(3872)\to D^0\bar{D}^0D^0$, makes the chain reaction of $X(3872)$ matter possible. We estimate the cross section of the $D$ meson induced fission-like process of $X(3872)$ into two $D$ mesons. With very small $D^0$ beam momentum of 1 eV, the total cross section reaches an order of 1000 b, and decreases rapidly with the increasing of beam momentum. With the transition of $D^*$ meson in molecular states to a $D$ meson, the $X(3872)$ can release large energy, which is acquired by the final mesons. The momentum distributions of the final $D$ mesons are analyzed. In the laboratory frame, the spectator $D$ meson in molecular state concentrates in the low momentum area. The energy from the transition frim $D^*$ to $D$ meson is mainly acquired by two scattered $D$ mesons. The results suggest that the $D$ meson environment will lead to the induced fission-like process and chain reaction of the $X(3827)$. Such phenomenon can be extended to other hadronic molecular states.

The possibility of $X(4014)$ as a $D^\ast \bar{D}^\ast$ molecular state

Within the framework of the local hidden gauge approach, we have studied the near-threshold interaction of the $D^* \bar{D}^*$ channel with quantum numbers $I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$, $0(2^{++})$, $1(0^{++})$, and $1(2^{++})$, respectively. The contact interaction is taken into account alone, since it is expected to give the dominant contribution near the threshold. One pole, which is found in the case of the quantum numbers $I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$, could be associated to the $X(4014)$ recently observed by the Belle Collaboration. Thus, we suggest that the $X(4014)$ may be an $D^* \bar{D}^*$ molecular state with $I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$, and more precise information about $X(4014)$, such as resonance parameters and decay properties, could be useful to shed light on its structure.

Magic mixing angles for doubly heavy baryons

We study the so-called magic mixing angles for doubly heavy baryons. Defining that a magic mixing angle rotates states with definite $^{2S+1}(l_λ)_J$ to make them heavy-quark symmetric states, we derive the magic mixing angle only in the case $L_ρ=0$ between the heavy quark symmetric states with quantum numbers $\left(J, j_\ell\right)$ and the states with $\left(J, s_q+j_ρ\right)=\left(J, \{^4l_λ/^2l_λ\}\right)$ for a doubly heavy baryon in the standard $ρ-λ$ configuration, where $\vec j_\ell=\vec l_λ+\vec s_q$, $\vec s_ρ=\vec s_{Q1}+\vec s_{Q2}$, and $\vec j_ρ=\vec s_ρ+\vec L_ρ$. We discuss how this mixing angle affects model building for a doubly heavy baryon.

Production of $Z_{cs}$ in $B$ and $B_s$ decay

In the present work, we investigate the production of $Z_{cs}^+$ in $B^+$ and $B_s^0$ decay, where $Z_{cs}^+$ is assigned as a $D_s^{+} \bar{D}^{\ast0} + D_s^{\ast +}\bar{D}^0$ molecular state. By using an effective Lagrangian approach, we evaluate the branching ratio of $B^0_s\rightarrow K^- Z^+_{cs}$ and $B^+\rightarrow ϕZ^{+}_{cs}$ via the triangle loop mechanism. The estimated branching fractions of $B^0_s\rightarrow K^- Z^+_{cs}$ and $B^+\rightarrow ϕZ^{+}_{cs}$ are an order of $10^{-4} $ and $10^{-5}$, respectively. The ratio of these two branching fraction is estimated to be about 5, which indicate that the $B_s^0 \to K^\pm Z^\mp_{cs} \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ may be a better process of searching $Z_{cs}$ and accessible for further experimental measurement of the Belle II and LHCb collaborations.

Exploration of the hidden charm decays of $Z_{cs}(3985)$

In the present work, we investigate the decays of $Z^-_{cs}(3985)$ in the $D_s^{-} D^{\ast0} + D_s^{\ast -}D^0$ molecular frame. By using an effective Lagrangian approach, the branching ratios of $Z^-_{cs}\rightarrow J/ψK^-$ and $Z^-_{cs}\rightarrow η_c K^{\ast-}$ are estimated. It is found that the dominating decay mode of $Z^-_{cs}(3985)$ is open charm channel, while, the branching ratio of the hidden charm decay channels is about $20\%$. In particular, the branching ratios of $Z^-_{cs}\rightarrow J/ψK^-$ and $Z^-_{cs}\rightarrow η_c K^{\ast-}$ are predicted to be of order of $10\%$. Moreover, our estimation indicates that the fraction of the quasi-two-body cascade decay via $Z_{cs}(3985)$ and the total cross section of $e^+ e^- \to K^+ K^- J/ψ$ around 4.68 GeV is $\left(6.8^{+10.5}_{-6.2} \right)\%$. All the predicted branching ratios in the present work could be tested by further measurements in BESIII and Belle II.

Triply-heavy tetraquarks in an extended relativized quark model

In this paper, we adopt an extended relativized quark model to investigate the triply-heavy tetrquarks systematically. The mass spectra are obtained by solving the four-body relativized Hamiltonian including the Coulomb potential, confining potential, spin-spin interactions, and relativistic corrections. We find that all of the triply-heavy tetraquarks lie above the corresponding meson-meson thresholds, and thus no stable one exists. In particular, besides the spin-spin interactions, the Coulomb and confining potentials also contribute to the mass splittings in the $cb\bar c \bar q$ and $cb\bar b \bar q$ systems. Moreover, the whole mass spectra for triply heavy tetraquarks show quite similar patterns, which preserve the light flavor SU(3) symmetry and heavy quark symmetry well. Through the fall-apart mechanism, the triply-heavy tetraquarks may easily decay into the heavy quarkonium plus heavy-light mesons, which are good candidates for investigation in future experiments.

Double Exotic States Productions in Pion and Kaon Induced Reactions

In the present work, we investigate the production of $P_{c}$ and $Z_c(3900)/Z_{cs}(3985)$ states in the processes of $πp \rightarrow Z_{c}(3900) P_{c} $/$Kp\rightarrow Z_{cs}(3985) P_{c}$ with an effective Lagrangian approach. Our estimations indicates that the cross sections depends on the model parameters and beam energies, in particular, the cross sections for $πp \to Z_c(3900) P_c(4312)$ and $πp \to Z_c(3900) P_c(4440)$ are similar and can reach up to 10 nb, while those for $πp \to Z_c(3900) P_c(4457)$ can be 30 nb. As for $Kp \to Z_{cs}(3985)P_c$, the cross sections are about 2.5 times smaller than those for $πp \to Z_c(3900) P_c$. The discussed processes in the present work, especially $πp \to Z_c(3900) P_c(4457)$, may be accessible by the the high-energy pion and kaon beams in the facilities of J-PARC and COMPASS.

Production of $P_{cs}(4459)$ from $Ξ_b$ decay

Inspired by the $P_{cs}(4459)$ reported by the LHCb collaboration recently, we investigate the $P_{cs}(4459)$ production from $Ξ_b$ decay in a molecular scenario using an effective Lagrangian approach. With different $J^P$ assignments to $P_{cs}(4459)$, the magnitude of branching fractions of $Ξ_b \to P_{cs}(4459) K$ is estimated, which is of the order of $10^{-4}$. Together with the decay properties of $P_{cs}(4459)$, the present estimations could be further testified by precise measurements and contribute to a better understanding of the molecular interpretations and the exploration of $J^P$ quantum numbers of $P_{cs}(4459)$.

Mapping a new cluster of charmoniumlike structures at $e^+e^-$ collisions

In this work, we find a Critical Energy induced Enhancement (CEE) mechanism for the general three-body open-charm process at the $e^+e^-$ collisions, which utilizes the peculiar kinematic behavior of the $e^+e^-$ annihilation process involving three-body final states. We present a general analysis of a three-body process $e^+e^-\to BC\to B(C\to DE)$. When the center-of-mass (CM) energy of the $e^+e^-$ collision satisfies a critical relation $\sqrt{s}=m_B+m_C$, there clearly exists the reflection peak of an intermediate $C$ state near the threshold of the invariant mass distribution of $m_{BE}$ or $m_{BD}$, whose formation is very sensitive to the CM energy. The reflection enhancement phenomenon induced at the critical energy means that a new cluster of charmoniumlike structures can be experimentally mapped. Taking an example of $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*-}D_{s2}^*(2573)^+ \to D_s^{*-}(D^0K^+)$, we further illustrate this novel phenomenon when $\sqrt{s}=4.680$ GeV. What is more important is that a series of optimal CM energy points to search for new charmoniumlike structures in three-body open-charm processes from $e^+e^-$ annihilation are suggested, which can be accessible at BESIII and further BelleII as a new research topic.

A Phenomenological analysis on isospin-violating decay of $X(3872)$

In a molecular scenario, we investigate the isospin-breaking hidden charm decay processes of $X(3872)$, i.e., $X(3872) \to π^+ π^- J/ψ$, $X(3872) \to π^+ π^- π^0 J/ψ$, and $X(3872)\to π^0χ_{cJ}$. We assume that the source of the strong isospin violation comes from the different coupling strengths of $X(3872)$ to its charged components $D^{\ast +} D^-$ and neutral components $D^{\ast 0 } \bar{D}^0$ as well as the interference between the charged meson loops and neutral meson loops. The former effect could fix our parameters by using the measurement of the ratio $Γ[X(3872) \to π^+ π^- π^0 J/ψ]/Γ[X(3872) \to π^+ π^- J/ψ]$. With the determined parameter range, we find that the estimated ratio $Γ[X(3872) \to π^0 χ_{c1}/Γ[X(3872) \to π^+ π^- J/ψ]$ is well consistent with the experimental measurement from the BESIII collaboration. Moreover, the partial width ratio of $π^0 χ_{cJ}$ for $J=0,1,2$ is estimated to be $1.77\sim1.65:1:1.09\sim1.43$, which could be tested by further precise measurements of BESIII and Belle II.

Molecular picture for $X_{0}(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$

Inspired by the newly observed $X_{0}(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$ at LHCb, the $K^*\bar{D}^*$ and $K\bar{D}_1$ interactions are studied in the quasipotential Bethe-Salpeter equation approach combined with the one-boson-exchange model. The bound and virtual states from the interactions are searched for as the poles in the complex energy plane of scattering amplitude. A bound state with $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$ and a virtual state with $0(1^-)$ are produced from the $K^*\bar{D}^*$ interaction and $K\bar{D}_1$ interaction, and can be related to the $X_{0}(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$ observed at LHCb, respectively. A bound state with $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$ and a virtual state with $I(J^P)=0(2^+)$ are also predicted from the $K^*\bar{D}^*$ interaction with a small $α$ value, which can be searched in future experiments.

$D$ wave bottomonia production from $Z_b^{(\prime)}$ decay

In the present work, we investigate the dipion transitions between $Υ(5S)$ and $Υ_J(1D)$ with $J=1, 2, 3$. Our analysis indicates that the dominant sources of the anomalously large widths of $Υ(5S)\to Υ_J(1D) π^+ π^-$ should be $Z_b^{(\prime)}$, i.e., the dipion transitions occur via the cascade decays $Υ(5S)\to Z_b^{(\prime)\pm} π^\mp \to Υ_J(1D) π^+ π^-$. With the assumption that all the short ranged dynamics could be absorbed in a single cutoff with a model parameter $α$, the present estimations indicate that in a reasonable parameter range the measured branching ratios of $Υ(5S) \to Υ_J(1D) π^+ π^-$ can be reproduced in magnitude, which further proves that the decays via $Z_b^{(\prime)}$ dominate the dipion transitions of $Υ(5S)$ to $Υ_J(1D)$. Moreover, we also predict the ratios of the branching fractions of $Z_b^{(\prime)} \to Υ_J(1D) π$, which in our calculations are largely independent of the parameter $α$ and could be tested by further experiments in Belle II.

Universal non-resonant explanation to charmoniumlike structures $Z_c(3885)$ and $Z_c(4025)$

Different from the usual tetraquark assignment to charged $Z_c(3885)$ and $Z_c(4025)$ charmoniumlike structures, in this letter we propose a universal non-resonant explanation to decode these $Z_c$'s, which is based on a special dynamical behavior of $e^+e^-\to D^{(*)}\bar{D}^*π$. Our study shows that $Z_c(3885)$ and $Z_c(4025)$ are only the reflection from the $P$-wave charmed meson $D_1(2420)$ involved in $e^+e^-\to D^{(*)}\bar{D}^*π$. Obviously, the present work provides a unique perspective, which can be examined by future experiments like BESIII and BelleII.

A study of the decays of $S-$wave $\bar D^\ast K^\ast$ hadronic molecules: the scalar $X_0(2900)$ and its spin partners $X_{J(J=1,2)}$

In this work, we investigated the decays of the fully open-flavor tetraquark state $X_0(2900)$ which was observed by the LHCb Collaboration very recently. Here, the $X_0(2900)$ was assigned as a $S-$wave $\bar D^\ast K^\ast$ hadronic molecule with $I=0$, and the effective lagrangian approach was applied to estimate the partial decay widths. Moreover, we also predicted the decay behaviors of the other unobserved $X_{J(J=1,2)}$, which were the spin partners of the $X_0(2900)$ in the $S-$wave $\bar D^\ast K^\ast$ picture. It was pointed out that the $X_1$ state with $I=0$ was a broad state with the width more than one hundred MeV, while another $X_2$ state with $I=0$ was a narrow state with the width approaching half of that for the $X_0(2900)$. In addition, our results also showed that the $\bar D^\ast K$ mode was expected to be the dominant decay mode for both $X_1$ and $X_2$. Searching for those unobserved $X_{J(J=1,2)}$ in the future experiments might be helpful to understand the nature of $X_0(2900)$.

Producing fully-charm structures in the $J/ψ$-pair invariant mass spectrum

Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration reported the observation of several enhancements in the invariant mass spectrum of a $J/ψ$ pair between 6.2 and 7.4 GeV. In this work, we propose the dynamical mechanism to mimic the experimental data of a di-$J/ψ$ mass spectrum given by LHCb, which is based on the reactions, where all the possible combinations of a double charmonium directly produced by a proton-proton collision are transferred into a final state $J/ψJ/ψ$. We find that the LHCb experimental data can be well reproduced. We further extend our framework to study a di-$Υ(1S)$ system, and give the line shape of a differential cross section of a partner process in a $b\bar{b}$ system on the invariant mass of $Υ(1S)Υ(1S)$, which shows that there should exist possible enhancements near $m_{Υ(1S)Υ(1S)}=$19.0, 19.3, 19.7 GeV in the $Υ(1S)$-pair invariant mass spectrum. These predictions can be tested in LHCb and CMS, which can be as a potential research issue in near future.

Open charm and bottom tetraquarks in an extended relativized quark model

In present work, we systematically calculate the mass spectra of open charm and bottom tetraquarks $q q\bar q \bar Q$ within an extended relativized quark model. The four-body relativized Hamiltonians including the Coulomb potential, confining potential, spin-spin interactions, and relativistic corrections are solved by using the variational method. It is found that the predicted masses of four $0^+$ $ud\bar s \bar c$ states are 2765, 3065, 3152, and 3396 MeV, which disfavor the assignment of the newly observed $X_0(2900)$ as a compact tetraquark. Moreover, the whole mass spectra of the open charm and bottom tetraquarks show quite similar patterns, which preserve the light flavor SU(3) symmetry and heavy quark symmetry well. In addition, our results suggest that the flavor exotic states $nn\bar s \bar c$, $nn\bar s \bar b$, $ss\bar n \bar c$, and $ss\bar n \bar b$ and their antiparticles can be searched in the heavy-light meson plus kaon final states by future experiments. More theoretical and experimental efforts are needed to investigate these singly heavy tetraquarks.

The $X(2239)$ and $η(2225)$ as hidden-strange molecular states from $Λ\barΛ$ interaction

In this work, we propose a possible assignment of the newly observed $X(2239)$, as well as the $η(2225)$, as a molecular state from the interaction of a baryon $Λ$ and an antibaryon $\barΛ$. With the help of effective Lagrangians, the $Λ\barΛ$ interaction is described within the one-boson-exchange model with $η$, $η'$, $ω$, $ϕ$, and $σ$ exchanges considered. After inserting the potential kernel into the quasipotential Bethe-Salpeter equation, the bound states from the $Λ\barΛ$ interaction can be studied by searching for the pole of the scattering amplitude. Two loosely bound states with spin parities $I^G(J^{PC})=0^+(0^{-+})$ and $0^-(1^{--})$ appear near the threshold almost with the same parameter. The $0^-(1^{--})$ state can be assigned to the $X(2239)$ observed at BESIII, which is very close to the $Λ\barΛ$ threshold. The scalar meson $η(2225)$ can be interpreted as a $0^+(0^{-+})$ state from the $Λ\barΛ$ interaction. The annihilation effect is also discussed through a coupled-channel calculation plus a phenomenological optical potential. It provides large widths to two bound states produced from the $Λ\barΛ$ interaction. The mass of the $1^-$ state is a little larger than the mass of the $0^-$ state after including the annihilation effect, which is consistent with our assignment of these two states as $X(2239)$ and $η(2225)$, respectively. The results suggest that further investigation is expected to understand the structures near the $Λ\barΛ$ threshold, such as $X(2239)$, $η(2225)$, and $X(2175)$.

Y(4626) as a molecular state from interaction ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)-{D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$

Recently, a new structure $Y(4626)$ was reported by the Belle Colloboration in the process $e^+e^-\to D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$. In this work, we propose an assignment of the $Y(4626)$ as a ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ molecular state, which decays into the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ channel through a coupling between ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ and ${D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ channels. With the help of the heavy quark symmetry, the potential of the interaction ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)-{D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ is constructed within the one-boson-exchange model, and inserted into the quasipotential Bethe-Salpeter equation. The pole of obtained scattering amplitude is searched for in the complex plane, which corresponds to a molecular state from the interaction ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)-{D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$. The results suggest that a pole is produced near the ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ threshold, which exhibits as a peak in the invariant mass spectrum of the ${D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ channel at about 4626 MeV. It obviously favors the $Y(4265)$ as a ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ molecular state. In the same model, other molecular states from the interaction ${D}^*_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)-{D}_s\bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ are also predicted, which can be checked in future experiments.
