On $U(\mathfrak{h})$-free modules of finite rank over $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$

We study $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-modules that are free of finite rank over $U(\mathfrak h)$, where $\mathfrak h$ is a fixed Cartan subalgebra of $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$. These modules form a natural class of non-weight modules. The coherent families obtained from this class via the weighting functor are identified. We also study a distinguished class of indecomposable $U(\mathfrak h)$-free modules defined in terms of Jordan blocks and give a recursive description of their socle filtrations. Finally, we apply the general results to exponential modules arising from the first Weyl algebra and obtain simplicity criteria for these modules.

A family of simple $U(\mathfrak{h})$-free modules of rank 2 over $\mathfrak{sl} (2)$

We study simple $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$-modules over $\mathbb C$ that are free of finite rank as $U(\mathfrak h)$-modules, where $\mathfrak h$ is a Cartan subalgebra of $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$. Our main result is an explicit classification of the scalar-type simple modules of rank $2$. We also give a criterion for when two such modules are isomorphic. Both the classification and the isomorphism problem reduce to twisted conjugacy classes in $\mbox{GL}_2({\mathbb C}[h])$ and rely on Cohn's standard form.

Exponential modules of $ \mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$

We study properties of two families, $E_{+}(g)$ and $E_-(g)$, of non-weight modules over the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ that are parameterized by a nonconstant polynomial $g(x) \in \mathbb C [x]$. These families appear naturally from the two oscillator homomorphisms and the exponential modules over the first Weyl algebra $\mathcal D(1)$. We prove simplicity and isomorphism theorems for $E_{+}(g)$ and $E_-(g)$.

Explicit realization of bounded modules for symplectic Lie algebras: spinor versus oscillator

We provide an explicit combinatorial realization of all simple and injective (hence, and projective) modules in the category of bounded $\mathfrak{sp}(2n)$-modules. This realization is defined via a natural tableaux correspondence between spinor-type modules of $\mathfrak{so}(2n)$ and oscillator-type modules of $\mathfrak{sp}(2n)$. In particular, we show that, in contrast with the $A$-type case, the generic and bounded $\mathfrak{sp}(2n)$-modules admit an analog of the Gelfand-Graev continuation from finite-dimensional representations.

Highest Weight Modules Over The Quantum Periplectic Superalgebra of Type $P$

In this paper, we begin the study of highest weight representations of the quantized enveloping superalgebra ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ of type $P$. We introduce a Drinfeld-Jimbo representation and establish a triangular-decomposition of ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$. We explain how to relate modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ to modules over ${\mathfrak p}_n$, the Lie superalgebra of type $P$, and we prove that the category of tensor modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ is not semisimple.

Bounded weight modules for basic classical Lie superalgebras at infinity

We classify simple bounded weight modules over the complex simple Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{sl}(\infty |\infty)$ and $\mathfrak{osp} (m | 2n)$, when at least one of $m$ and $n$ equals $\infty$. For $\mathfrak{osp} (m | 2n)$ such modules are of spinor-oscillator type, i.e., they combine into one the known classes of spinor $\mathfrak{o} (m)$-modules and oscillator-type $\mathfrak{sp} (2n)$-modules. In addition, we characterize the category of bounded weight modules over $\mathfrak{osp} (m | 2n)$ (under the assumption $\dim \, \mathfrak{osp} (m | 2n) = \infty$) by reducing its study to already known categories of representations of $\mathfrak{sp} (2n)$, where $n$ possibly equals $\infty$. When classifying simple bounded weight $\mathfrak{sl}(\infty |\infty)$-modules, we prove that every such module is integrable over one of the two infinite-dimensional ideals of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(\infty |\infty)_{\bar{0}}$. We finish the paper by establishing some first facts about the category of bounded weight $\mathfrak{sl} (\infty |\infty)$-modules.

Laplace eigenfunctions on Riemannian symmetric spaces and Borel-Weil Theorem

We indicate a geometric relation between Laplace-Beltrami spectra and eigenfunctions on compact Riemannian symmetric spaces and the Borel-Weil theory using ideas from symplectic geometry and geometric quantization. This is done by associating to each compact Riemannian symmetric space, via Marsden-Weinstein reduction, a generalized flag manifold which covers the space parametrizing all of its maximal totally geodesic tori. In the process we notice a direct relation between the Satake diagram of the symmetric space and the painted Dynkin diagram of its associated flag manifold. We consider in detail the examples of the classical simply-connected spaces of rank one and the space SU(3)/SO(3). In the second part of the paper we provide a construction of harmonic polynomials inducing Laplace-Beltrami eigenfunctions on the symmetric space from holomorphic sections of the associated line bundle on the generalized flag manifold. We show that in the examples we consider the construction provides all of the eigenfunctions.

Mixed tensor products and Capelli-type determinants

In this paper we study properties of a homomorphism $ρ$ from the universal enveloping algebra $U=U(\mathfrak{gl}(n+1))$ to a tensor product of an algebra $\mathcal D'(n)$ of differential operators and $U(\mathfrak{gl}(n))$. We find a formula for the image of the Capelli determinant of $\mathfrak{gl}(n+1)$ under $ρ$, and, in particular, of the images under $ρ$ of the Gelfand generators of the center $Z(\mathfrak{gl}(n+1))$ of $U$. This formula is proven by relating $ρ$ to the corresponding Harish-Chandra isomorphisms, and, alternatively, by using a purely computational approach. Furthermore, we define a homomorphism from $\mathcal D'(n) \otimes U(\mathfrak{gl}(n))$ to an algebra containing $U$ as a subalgebra, so that $σ(ρ(u)) - u \in G_1 U$, for all $u \in U$, where $G_1 = \sum_{i=0}^{n} E_{ii}$.

Quantized enveloping superalgebra of type $P$

We introduce a new quantized enveloping superalgebra $\mathfrak{U}_q{\mathfrak{p}}_n$ attached to the Lie superalgebra ${\mathfrak{p}}_n$ of type $P$. The superalgebra $\mathfrak{U}_q{\mathfrak{p}}_n$ is a quantization of a Lie bisuperalgebra structure on ${\mathfrak{p}}_n$ and we study some of its basic properties. We also introduce the periplectic $q$-Brauer algebra and prove that it is the centralizer of the $\mathfrak{U}_q {\mathfrak{p}}_n$-module structure on ${\mathbb C}(n|n)^{\otimes l}$. We end by proposing a definition for a new periplectic $q$-Schur superalgebra.

Exponentiation and Fourier transform of tensor modules of $\mathfrak{sl} (n+1)$

With the aid of the exponentiation functor and Fourier transform we introduce a class of modules $T(g,V,S)$ of $\mathfrak{sl} (n+1)$ of mixed tensor type. By varying the polynomial $g$, the $\mathfrak{gl}(n)$-module $V$, and the set $S$, we obtain important classes of weight modules over the Cartan subalgebra $\mathfrak h$ of $\mathfrak{sl} (n+1)$, and modules that are free over $\mathfrak h$. Furthermore, these modules are obtained through explicit presentation of the elements of $\mathfrak{sl} (n+1)$ in terms of differential operators and lead to new tensor coherent families of $\mathfrak{sl} (n+1)$. An isomorphism theorem and simplicity criterion for $T(g,V,S)$ is provided.

On BBW parabolics for simple classical Lie superalgebras

In this paper the authors introduce a class of parabolic subalgebras for classical simple Lie superalgebras associated to the detecting subalgebras introduced by Boe, Kujawa and Nakano. These parabolic subalgebras are shown to have good cohomological properties governed by the Bott-Borel-Weil theorem involving the zero component of the Lie superalgebra in conjunction with the odd roots. These results are later used to verify an open conjecture given by Boe, Kujawa and Nakano pertaining to the equality of various support varieties.

Classification of irreducible Gelfand-Tsetlin modules of sl(3)

We provide a classification and an explicit realization of all irreducible Gelfand-Tsetlin modules of the complex Lie algebra sl(3). The realization of these modules uses regular and derivative Gelfand-Tsetlin tableaux. In particular, we list all simple Gelfand-Tsetlin sl(3)-modules with infinite-dimensional weight spaces. Also, we express all simple Gelfand-Tsetlin sl(3)-modules as subquotionets of localized Gelfand-Tsetlin E_{21}-injective modules.

Simple bounded highest weight modules of basic classical Lie superalgebras

We classify all simple bounded highest weight modules of a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak g$. In particular, our classification leads to the classification of the simple weight modules with finite weight multiplicities over all classical Lie superalgebras. We also obtain some character formulas of strongly typical bounded highest weight modules of $\mathfrak g$.

Bounds of Gelfand-Tsetlin multiplicities and tableaux realizations of Verma modules

We introduce the notion of essential support of a simple Gelfand-Tsetlin $\mathfrak{gl}_n$-module as an important tool towards understanding the character formula of such module. This support detects the weights in the module having maximal possible Gelfand-Tsetlin multiplicities. Using combinatorial tools we describe the essential supports of the simple socles of the universal tableaux modules. We also prove that every simple Verma module appears as a socle of a universal tableaux module and hence obtain a description of the essential supports of all simple Verma modules. As a consequence, we prove the Strong Futorny-Ovsienko Conjecture on the sharpness of the upper bounds of the Gelfand-Tsetlin multiplicities. In addition we give a very explicit description of the support and essential support of the simple singular Verma module $M(-ρ)$

Gelfand-Tsetlin Theory for Rational Galois Algebras

In the present paper we study Gelfand-Tsetlin modules defined in terms of BGG differential operators. The structure of these modules is described with the aid of the Postnikov-Stanley polynomials introduced in [PS09]. These polynomials are used to identify the action of the Gelfand-Tsetlin subalgebra on the BGG operators. We also provide explicit bases of the corresponding Gelfand-Tsetlin modules and prove a simplicity criterion for these modules. The results hold for modules defined over standard Galois orders of type $A$ - a large class of rings that include the universal enveloping algebra of $\mathfrak{gl} (n)$ and the finite $W$-algebras of type $A$.
