Generation of orbital angular momentum through twisted Variable retarders

Polarized light passing through twisted special wave plates show entangled state of both SAM and OAM. The variable circular and linear retarders (VCR and VLR) are studied here from the view point of quantum processing of entangled states. Interestingly the geometric phase in association with twist dependent gain of OAM has been discussed here. As an application of VLR, the origin of gradual flattened shape of wave fronts through successive array of antennas (QHQ) has been explained through new physical approach of the concurrence of entangled states.

Quantum Information through Angular momentum of Photon

The angular momentum of photons is the key source of quantum information. The transfer angular momentum is possible as circularly polarized light passed through wave plates. The twisted birefringent medium behaves as Q-plate. The passage of circularly polarized light through two consecutive half wave plates traces a closed curve on Poincare sphere. As a result the geometric phase in association with gain of orbital angular momentum is developed.
