Explainable Anomaly Detection for Industrial Control System Cybersecurity

Industrial Control Systems (ICSs) are becoming more and more important in managing the operation of many important systems in smart manufacturing, such as power stations, water supply systems, and manufacturing sites. While massive digital data can be a driving force for system performance, data security has raised serious concerns. Anomaly detection, therefore, is essential for preventing network security intrusions and system attacks. Many AI-based anomaly detection methods have been proposed and achieved high detection performance, however, are still a "black box" that is hard to be interpreted. In this study, we suggest using Explainable Artificial Intelligence to enhance the perspective and reliable results of an LSTM-based Autoencoder-OCSVM learning model for anomaly detection in ICS. We demonstrate the performance of our proposed method based on a well-known SCADA dataset.

Functional integral method for potential scattering amplitude in quantum mechanics

The functional integral method can be used in quantum mechanics to find the scattering amplitude for particles in the external field. We will obtain the potential scattering amplitude form the complete Green function in the corresponding external field through solving the Schrodinger equation, after being separated from the poles on the mass shell, which takes the form of an eikonal (Glauber) representation in the high energy region and the small scattering angles. Consider specific external potentials such as the Yukawa or Gaussian potential, we will find the corresponding differential scattering cross-sections.

High energy scattering amplitude in the linearized gravitational theory

The asymptotic behavior of the elastic scattering amplitude by the exchange of graviton between two scalar particles at high energies and fixed momentum transfers is reconsidered in the Logunov-Tavkhelidze equation in the linearized gravitational theory. The corrections to the eikonal approximation in the quasi-potential approach of relative order $1/p$ is developed with the principal contributions at high energy. The eikonal expression of scattering amplitude and the formal first correction are derived. The Yukawa potential is applied to discuss the results.

The contribution of effective quantum gravity to the high energy scattering in the framework of modified perturbation theory and one loop approximation

The asymptotic behavior of the scattering amplitude for two scalar particles at high energies with fixed momentum transfers is studied. The study is done within the effective theory of quantum gravity based on quasi-potential equation. By using the modified perturbation theory, a systematic method is developed to find the leading eikonal scattering amplitudes together with corrections to them in the one-loop gravitational approximation. The relation is established and discussed between the solutions obtained by means of the operator and functional approaches applied to quasi-potential equation. The first non-leading corrections to the leading eikonal amplitude are found.
