A Fermionic Portal to Vector Dark Matter from a New Gauge Sector

We present a new class of Dark Matter (DM) models wherein the Standard Model (SM) is extended with a new $SU(2)_D$ dark gauge sector. In this framework the stability of DM is provided by the conservation of a $U(1)$ global symmetry, which upon appropriate charge assignments for the $SU(2)_D$ multiplets, effectively leads to a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry subgroup. The origin of the global $U(1)$ symmetry which ensures the stability of DM can be justified in the form of a dark EW sector or through an underlying composite structure. The key ingredient of the model is a Vector-Like (VL) fermion doublet of $SU(2)_D$ , the members of which are singlets of the SM Electro-Weak (EW) gauge group, which mediate the interactions between the dark sector and the SM, via new Yukawa interactions. This class of models, labelled as Fermion Portal Vector DM (FPVDM), allows multiple realisations, depending on the properties of the the VL partner and the scalar potential. After spontaneous breaking of the $SU(2)_D$ symmetry via a new scalar doublet, the ensuing massive vector bosons with non-zero dark-isospin are DM candidates. The new class of FPVDM models suggested here has numerous phenomenological implications for collider and non-collider studies. As a practical example, we discuss here in detail a realisation involving a VL top partner assuming no mixing between the two physical scalars of the theory, the SM Higgs boson and its counterpart in the dark sector. We thus provide bounds on this setup from both collider and astroparticle observables.

The Effect of the Infrared Phase of the Discrete BFKL Pomeron on Transverse Momentum Diffusion

Imposing infrared boundary conditions on the BFKL equation with running coupling transforms the complex momentum w-plane cut present in the gluon Green function into an infinite series of positive Regge poles. In addition, a cut on the negative w line remains. We consider a Hermitian kernel at leading order with running coupling and construct the gluon Green function performing the w integration away from the real axis. We find a strong dependence of the asymptotic intercepts and collinear behaviour on the non-perturbative choice of the boundary conditions, in the form of an infrared phase. This is particularly manifest in the asymmetric infrared/ultraviolet structure of the associated diffusion in transverse momentum. We find that random walks into the infrared region are largely reduced in this approach.

The Effect of a Rapidity Gap Veto on the Discrete BFKL Pomeron

We investigate the sensitivity of the discrete BFKL spectrum, which appears in the gluon Green function when the running coupling is considered, to a lower cut-off in the relative rapidities of the emitted particles. We find that the eigenvalues associated to each of the discrete eigenfunctions decrease with the size of the rapidity veto. The effect is stronger on the lowest eigenfunctions. The net result is a reduction of the growth with energy for the Green function together with a suppression in the regions with small transverse momentum.

NLO Polarized Chargino pair Production in Electron Positron Annihilation

We calculate the complete one-loop quantum corrections to the helicity eigenstate chargino pair production cross sections in polarized electron positron collisions, within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We calculate the non-QED corrections using the helicity amplitudes formalism, and Dimensional Regularization to deal with ultraviolet divergences. We calculate QED corrections using the dipole subtraction formalism to extract soft and collinear divergences in Bremsstrahlung, canceling them with the infrared divergences from virtual QED corrections. We show numerical results for the Focus Point scenario in mSUGRA, where we find important quantum corrections for differential cross sections with definite chargino helicities.

On the Large Higher Order Corrections to Polarised Chargino Production

We calculate the radiative corrections to helicity amplitudes for chargino production in electron-positron collisions. We include all weak self-energy, triangle, and box diagrams, and find that the three are important and should be included. We present results in the form of differential cross-sections for four supersymmetry benchmark models, and find usually large corrections and in some cases huge corrections. We conclude that in order to extract the underlying parameters of the chargino sector from collider data taken at a future Linear Collider, a complete theoretical one--loop production cross-section should be used.

Radiative Corrections to Chargino Production with Polarized Beams

We show that radiative corrections to chargino production in electron-positron annihilation with polarized beams can be large especially in the case of right handed electrons. In addition, there is some dependency on the squark masses that allows us to extract information about the squark spectrum from the chargino production.

Radiative Corrections to Chargino Production in Electron-Positron Collisions with Polarised Beams

We study radiative corrections to chargino production at linear colliders with polarised electron beams. We calculate the one-loop corrected cross-sections for polarised electon beams due to three families of quarks and squarks, working in the $\bar{MS}$ scheme, extending our previous calculation of the unpolarised cross-section with one-loop corrections due to the third family of quarks and squarks. In some cases we find rather large corrections to the tree-level cross-sections. For example for the case of right-handed polarised electrons and large $\tan β$ the corrections can be of order 30%, allowing sensitivity to the squark mass parameters.

Radiatively Corrected Chargino Pair Production at LEP2

One-loop radiative corrections to the production cross section of a pair of light charginos in e+e- colliders are calculated within the MSSM. Top and bottom quarks and squarks are considered in the loops, and they are renormalized using the MS-bar scheme. If the center of mass energy is equal to 192 GeV, positive corrections typically of 10% to 15% are found when the squark mass parameters are equal to 1 TeV.

Radiative Corrections to Chargino Production in Electron-Positron Collisions

We discuss the one-loop radiative corrections to the reaction e^+ e^- -> X^+_a X^-_b, for a,b=1,2 where X^+_{1,2} are the charginos of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We calculate the leading one loop radiative corrections involving loops of top, stop, bottom and sbottom quarks, working in the MS-bar scheme. At LEP2 we find positive radiative corrections typically of 10% to 15% and with a maximum value of approximately 30% if the squark mass parameters are of the order of 1 TeV. If \sqrt{s}=500 GeV we find smaller corrections but they can be also negative, with extreme values of 13% and -4%. For a center of mass given by \sqrt{s}=2 TeV we find larger corrections, with typical values between 20% and -20%.
