$L^p$-boundedness and $L^p$-nuclearity of multilinear pseudo-differential operators on $\mathbb{Z}^n$ and the torus $\mathbb{T}^n$

In this article, we begin a systematic study of the boundedness and the nuclearity properties of multilinear periodic pseudo-differential operators and multilinear discrete pseudo-differential operators on $L^p$-spaces. First, we prove analogues of known multilinear Fourier multipliers theorems (proved by Coifman and Meyer, Grafakos, Tomita, Torres, Kenig, Stein, Fujita, Tao, etc.) in the context of periodic and discrete multilinear pseudo-differential operators. For this, we use the periodic analysis of pseudo-differential operators developed by Ruzhansky and Turunen. Later, we investigate the $s$-nuclearity, $0<s \leq 1,$ of periodic and discrete pseudo-differential operators. To accomplish this, we classify those $s$-nuclear multilinear integral operators on arbitrary Lebesgue spaces defined on $σ$-finite measures spaces. We also study similar properties for periodic Fourier integral operators. Finally, we present some applications of our study to deduce the periodic Kato-Ponce inequality and to examine the $s$-nuclearity of multilinear Bessel potentials as well as the $s$-nuclearity of periodic Fourier integral operators admitting suitable types of singularities.

$L^p$-bounds for Fourier integral operators on the torus

In this paper we investigate the mapping properties of periodic Fourier integral operators in $L^p(\mathbb{T}^n)$-spaces. The operators considered are associated to periodic symbols (with limited regularity) in the sense of Ruzhansky and Turunen.

Pseudo-differential operators in Hölder spaces revisited. Weyl-Hörmander calculus and Ruzhansky-Turunen classes

In this work we obtain continuity results on Hölder spaces for operators belonging to a Weyl-Hörmander calculus for metrics such that the class of the associated operators contains, in particular, certain hypoelliptic laplacians. With our results we recover some historical Hölder boundedness theorems (see R. Beals \cite{Be,Be2}). The action of (periodic) Ruzhansky-Turunen classes of pseudo-differential operators on Hölder spaces also will be investigated.

On the nuclear trace of Fourier integral operators in $L^p$-spaces

In this paper we provide characterizations for the nuclearity of Fourier integral operators on $\mathbb{R}^n,$ on the discrete group $\mathbb{Z}^n,$ arbitrary compact Lie groups and compact homogeneous manifolds. We also investigate the nuclear trace of these operators.

Pseudo-differential operators on $\mathbb{Z}^n$ with applications to discrete fractional integral operators

In this manuscript we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the $\textnormal{weak}(1,p)$ boundedness, $1< p<\infty,$ of discrete Fourier multipliers (Fourier multipliers on $\mathbb{Z}^n$). Our main goal is to apply the results obtained to discrete fractional integral operators. Discrete versions of the Calderón-Vaillancourt Theorem and the Gohberg Lemma also are proved.

Boundedness of pseudo-differential operators in subelliptic Sobolev and Besov spaces on compact Lie groups

In this paper we investigate the Besov spaces on compact Lie groups in a subelliptic setting, that is, associated with a family of vector fields, satisfying the Hörmander condition, and their corresponding sub-Laplacian. Embedding properties between subelliptic Besov spaces and Besov spaces associated to the Laplacian on the group are proved. We link the description of subelliptic Sobolev spaces with the matrix-valued quantisation procedure of pseudo-differential operators in order to provide subelliptic Sobolev and Besov estimates for operators in the Hörmander classes. Interpolation properties between Besov spaces and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces are also investigated.

The index of Toeplitz operators on compact Lie groups and simply connected closed 3-manifolds

In this paper we use the notion of operator-valued symbol in order to compute the index of Toeplitz operators on compact Lie groups. Our approach combines the Connes index theorem and the infinite-dimensional operator-valued symbolic calculus of Ruzhansky-Turunen. We also give applications to the index of Toeplitz operators on simply connected closed $3$-manifolds $\mathbb{M}\simeq \mathbb{S}^3\simeq \textnormal{SU}(2) ,$ by using, as a fundamental tool, the Poincaré theorem (see Perelman [31,32,33,34])

Hörmander condition for pseudo-multipliers associated to the harmonic oscillator

In this paper we prove Hörmander-Mihlin multiplier theorems for pseudo-multipliers associated to the harmonic oscillator (also called the Hermite operator). Our approach can be extended to also obtain the $L^p$-boundedness results for multilinear pseudo-multipliers. By using the Littlewood-Paley theorem associated to the harmonic oscillator we also give $L^p$-boundedness and $L^p$-compactness properties for multipliers. $(L^p,L^q)$-estimates for spectral pseudo-multipliers also are investigated.

Nuclearity for Fourier integral operators in $L^p$-spaces

In this note we study sharp sufficient conditions for the nuclearity of Fourier integral operators on $L^p$-spaces, $1< p\leq 2$. Our conditions and those presented in Cardona [2] provide a systematic investigation on the subject for all $1<p<\infty.$

On the index of pseudo-differential operators on compact Lie groups

In this note we study the analytical index of pseudo-differential operators by using the notion of (infinite dimensional) operator-valued symbols (in the sense of Ruzhansky and Turunen). Our main tools will be the McKean-Singer index formula together with the operator-valued functional calculus developed here.

The Dixmier trace and the noncommutative residue for multipliers on compact manifolds

In this paper we give formulae for the Dixmier trace and the noncommutative residue (also called Wodzicki's residue) of pseudo-differential operators by using the notion of global symbol. We consider both cases, compact manifolds with or without boundary. Our analysis on the Dixmier trace of invariant pseudo-differential operators on closed manifolds will be based on the Fourier analysis associated to every elliptic and positive operator and the quantization process developed by Delgado and Ruzhansky. In particular, for compact Lie groups this can be done by using the representation theory of the group in view of the Peter-Weyl theorem and the Ruzhansky-Turunen symbolic calculus. The analysis of invariant pseudo-differential operators on compact manifolds with boundary will be based on the global calculus of pseudo-differential operators developed by Ruzhansky and Tokmagambetov.

The weak type $(1,p)$ for convolution operators on locally compact groups

In this paper we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the $\textnormal{weak}(1,p)$ boundedness, $1< p<\infty,$ of convolution operators on locally compact (Hausdorff) topological groups. So, we generalize a classical result due to Sobolev-Hardy-Littlewood and Stepanov. Applications to Fourier multipliers on Lie groups also are given.
